Kimberly Brown's POV
"Excuse me, Mr Kyle, I need to speak with my friend first please..." Vicky said before I or Kyle could say something to each other. I did not know that she followed behind.
I know my friend Vicky, I know how she thinks and I wonder what she is going to say to me now judging by the look on her face.
"Pease excuse us, one second Mr Kyle," she said to Kyle again and grabbing onto my hand, she lead the way.
"Is there a problem, Vicky, where are we going?" I asked as she lead the way still holding on to my hand.
"Not here, Kim, we need to talk privately first," she replied looking at my face briefly.
I looked behind me to see Kyle looking at us with his arms folded across his chest, I am wondering what he might be thinking now seeing Vicky act like this, as if she were my mum.
Vicky said nothing but led the way into the living room and out of the house, even though she glanced at Kyle too.
"What is this about, Vicky?" I asked peering at her inquisitively, immediately we are outside the house.
I wonder what is going on now in her head, she looked around as if to check if anyone is nearby and then said to me, "tell me, Kim, what do you think?" She asked in return peering back at me.
"Excuse me?" I asked again in return getting a little confused by the question she asked.
"Come on Kim, tell me what you think?" Vicky asked still staring back into my face.
"What do I think about what, Vicky?" I asked furrowing my brows at her because I think I now understand exactly what she is trying to ask me, or what she want to say to me.
"Look, Kim, I know you, I know the look on that face of yours when you left Kyle's room and I think I know what you are going to say to him that is why I interrupted you two before you say something you might regret later on," Vicky told me, sounding as if she is my Mum.
"What are you talking about, Vicky?" I asked again trying to form ignorance.
"Look, Kim, do not get me wrong, I know where you are coming from and I know all that you have been through and I think I know what you are going to say to Kyle out there that was why I came to speak to you first the way I did before you say anything wrong to him," she said again and paused for a while but I chose not to say anything, I think I will have to listen to all that she has to say first.
"Listen, Kim, you are my friend and I will not deceive you, I think this is it... you are my friend and I love you as a sister, you know I love you right, and I will always love you..."
"I know, Vicky, so please go straight to the point," I said interrupting her because I know where she is going to when she begins to talk like this, I just want to let her finish before I can respond to her.
"Alright, I think you know me too well Kim, so I am going to go straight to the point," she said nodding her head a little, I think she is trying to figure out a way to what is on her mind.
"I think this is it, this is the jackpot we talked about years back girl before all the heartbreak and hardship began, I think that Kyle Guy... he loves you, Kim," she said rather slowly this time,
"And I think the sister-in-law, I mean, Brian's wife, I think she likes you too, and I think the both of you will have a good relationship as well, she seems nice to me and sounds genuine, I think I liked her immediately after her speech there because it sounded like she meant it, even Brian too..."
"What are you saying in other words, Vicky," I asked glaring at her now, she said the same things.
"What I am saying is this Kim," she said and paused for a while looking around again, "do not reject Kyle's offer to be his wife because like I said earlier, this is the jackpot and I believe he is what he said he is, I do not think his family would lie about him to you, so I am of the opinion that you accept his offer to be his wife because I know you were going to turn him down," Vicky said and stopped talking.
I stared at her wondering how she knew what is on my mind, I was going to reject his offer.
"Or am I lying?" Vicky asked peering at me since I have not replied her yet I guess.
"You are right about that, Vicky..." I replied almost immediately after her question, looking away from her face...
