"Mum..." I muttered and could not say more than that, I wished I could turn the hand of time back to when Kimberly asked me to let her go back to her kids, I should not have stopped her, neither should I have brought her out here to talk to her in the first place if I knew this was going to happen to her, I never expected Sonia to come here neither did I ever expect that she can do a thing like this, worst of it all, she seemed not to feel remorse or guilt whatsoever.
"What happened here, Kyle?" Mum's voice asked again, that is when I remembered Sonia.
"Sonia, Mum..." I said or muttered again, looking around.
"Sonia what?" Mum asked sounding surprised or confused probably.
"Sonia..., where the heck is Sonia?" I asked again looking around in search of her, with Kimberly taken away, now I will have to teach Sonia a lesson I said within me...
"She left, Kyle, Sonia already ran, as the medical team were coming in, I saw her leave," Belinda said to me.
"What is Kyle talking about? Can you tell me what happened here, how did Kimberly get shot?" Mum asked sounding a little agitated I think and, I think she is just coming because of her question.
"Sonia shot Kimberly, mum," I said in my confused state.
"Sonia did what?" Mum asked almost immediately, "was Sonia still here after we told her to leave?" Mum added, looking from Belinda to me.
"Brian sent her away, after you and dad asked that she leaves this place, I watched as she drove away from here with Brian waiting until she has left, and I am shocked myself to see her come back here, I think she must have driven back here after Brian came back into the house," Belinda said to Mum.
"Oh my goodness, Kyle!" I heard Mum exclaim putting her hands over her lips, she must be shocked to hear that Sonia did a thing like that.
"Daddy, is mum going to be alright?" I heard Alex ask me pulling at my shirt that is soaked in their Mum's blood.
I stared down at Alex and Sandra in teary eyes without knowing what to say to them because even I am not sure what the reply is going to be because of the state Kimberly is in when they took her.
"Come, Belinda, please take the kids inside," Mum told Belinda immediately, "who let the kids out to witness this in the first place, they are too young for this," Mum said, gesturing for Belinda to take them with her.
"Listen, kids, your mummy is going to be alright, okay, so please do Mum a favour and be good kids so that she will be proud of you when she gets back alright," Mum told Alex and Sandra bending over a little as she spoke to them.
"Are you sure?" Sandra asked Mum, as she wiped away tears from her face.
"Yes, sweetheart, I am sure of it," Mum replied Sandra immediately and I wished her reply to them will be true, oh how I wish, I said within me looking at Mum.
"Please take them away from here, Belinda, and please see to it that they are taken care of.
"Yes, Mum," Belinda replied Mum, taking Alex and Sandra's hands and leading them away.
"Bye Kids and do not worry your Mum will be alright," Mum said after them.
"Come on, Kyle, you need to wash off first, my goodness, you look like you are the one who has been shot," Mum said turning back to me, I just ignored what she just said and tried to move.
"Hey, wait, where are you going?" Mum immediately said and asked as she caught on to my arm to stop me from moving...
"I need to go and find Sonia, Mum, she has to pay for what she has done to Kimberly," I told Mum in response and I mean what I just said.
"You do not have to go, Kyle, at least not now, I do not want you to make any decisions in a hurry so that you do regret your actions later," Mum told me still holding on to my arm.
"Let go of me, Mum, I need to go and get her before it is too late," I told Mum again...
