"Please come out now Venessa, we will be late" I heard Penelope yelling from my bedroom. I stared at my reflection in the mirror and felt a little uncomfortable in this dress.
"Can you give me another dress, this one is a bit slutty" I yelled back. The dress was Black and kinda shiny clothes with low sleeves and a low plunging V-neck with high slits below the waist. The back plunged low showing my entire skin.
"No, it's Not. Come out now, or I'll break this door," She yelled, I rolled my eyes and walked out and stood in front of her.
"See? This is too slutty," I said, turning around and showing off the dress to Penelope. I glanced at Penelope to see her simply standing there with wide eyes.
"You look so beautiful," she said, admiring me.
I smiled at her, "Thank you… but this is too revealing," I complained.
She smiled at me, "No Ven, it fits you perfectly and you look gorgeous...Trust me."
She made me sit and did my make up and hair. After that she made me stand up
"Let's go, we will be late," she said.
We both walked towards the stairs, I walked down the stairs towards Nikolai who was watching me intensely. He was dressed in a black suit that fit him perfectly. He was looking sharp and intimidating. I nervously stood in front of him and heaved a nervous breath. His unreadable blue eyes held admiration, the way his eyes scanned my entire body. I gulped down the lump in my throat.
"We are getting late." He said while turning around and walking out.
His action made me sad, I don't know why but I was expecting him to compliment me. I didn't understand why I was expecting him to compliment me. I sighed and followed him outside.
"You look beautiful" Alan complimented me, I turned to him and smiled as I thanked him.

We sat quietly on the plane. I was admiring the interior of the flawless sixteen seaters, double cabined jet. Somehow it reminded me of Enzo's plane and our memories when we travelled to his parents. All those unanswered questions rushed to my head. Tears were rolling in my eyes. I want to ask him why? Why didn't he come back to take me home? Didn't he love me? Did he move on? Did he give up on us? All these questions were running in my head, while I was quietly staring outside.
"What are you thinking?" Penelope asked as she sat in front of me.
I turned to look at her and shook my head with a forced smile on my face. She stared at my face for a while, "You're missing him, aren't you?" She asked cautiously. I glanced at Nikolai who was talking to Alan sitting on a chair at the bar with a drink in his hands.
I nodded my head as I turned sideways to hide my tears from her.
"Oh dear," she signed and placed her hand on mine."For now...just enjoy the trip, after this, I promise I'll help you find him," she said squeezing my hands. I smiled at her warmly.
Once the plane landed at the runaway of the private airport in New York, everyone got out and got into the cars. I walked down the stairs. The chauffeur stepped out, holding the door of the Limo open, for me to get in. I climbed inside followed by Nikolai. We were alone in the limo which made me even more nervous. I glanced at him and quickly shifted my eyes outside the window.
I stared at the busy streets of New York and was watching the shopping malls and restaurants passing by. A smile made its way up to my lips as I watched all the tall buildings and busy traffic around me. I've never been to new york before. This was my first time.
The car stopped in front of a Tall building. The building was located deep inside a street. I'm sure no one can come here unless they knew the correct routes and directions. I rubbed my sweaty palms together and heaved a nervous breath. I feel so nervous looking at the building. I stepped outside of the car and watched the building in awe. I hear someone clearing their throat, I looked ahead to find Nikolai extending his hand for me to grab. I exhaled another nervous breath and put my hand in his. A spark jolts at the touch of our skin. It reminded me of her movement in the morning today.
We walked down the red carpet and stopped at the entrance where two tall bulky men in black suits greeted us.
"Mr. Vesiliv" The one who stood at the right bow his head with a smile, I noticed that he didn't do it for anyone else.
"May I have the name of your lovely date tonight?" The other one asked politely.
Nikolai looked at me, I turned to the man. With a nervous smile, "Venessa Fra..." I swallowed the lump formed in my throat as I remembered my last name."Foster," I said.
He looked at me up and down as if scanning me making me feel a little conscious as I moved a little closer to Nikolai. The warmth of his body gives me confrontation somehow. He rubbed his thumb on my waist, letting me know it's okay. I looked up at him to see him staring down at me. He gave a small smile assuring me that everything is fine. Somehow it cooled my inside and relaxed me.
"Miss. Venessa Foster" He smiled and approved of us moving in.
When I looked at the hall that was decorated grandly with a huge empty space with reflecting lights off the marble floor, blue LED lights reflecting from spaces between the walls. A number of tables were set up near a small stage.
Still holding my hands Nikolai walked us down the hall, reaching for a table. He pulled a chair out, and I smiled at him as I sat down on the chair. Penelope and Alan sat opposite to us. One by one everyone else was occupying the tables. The waiters were walking around serving drinks to everyone. One of the waiters walked to us, serving us drinks. Penelope and Alan took their drinks. Nikolai and I didn't take any. I was still feeling nervous inside.
Penelope smiled at me while having her drink, I noticed Alan watching her intensely. I sensed something between them. Suddenly I felt a strong urge to turn around, I don't know why but it made me turn around.
I turned around and the world stopped as I took in the view of certain green-eyes- Black-haired men in a black suit walking inside with a blonde with very revealing clothes. My breath caught in my throat and my heart stopped as I noticed his arm wrapped itself around her waist while he was smiling warmly at her. I felt like someone stabbed me in my heart. The pain in my heart was unbearable, Tears were forming in my eyes and my vision was becoming blurry.
As I controlled not to let my tears flow down my cheeks, I absent-mindedly whispered, "Enzo?"
