Before they could help her Nikolai was at her side in a second, helping her to get up. "What happened?" He asked her.
"That stupid dog chased me…(she peeked at me.)..she said something to him," She said which made my jaw drop. Before I could say it wasn't me, Mr-Women-killer had cut me off showing his hand to my face. The look on his face made tears roll in my eyes. Still, I tried to open my mouth to speak. "Don't" he said, I can clearly understand that it was a dangerous warning. The way he just said it has scared me.
He believed her, He believed that all this..was done by me. I thought to myself.
Why won't he? Who are you to him? Nothing, you're nothing to him. Why will he believe you over his girlfriend? Said my subconscious.
Standing there like a statue, I watched him taking her in his arms and climbing the stairs.
I feel Penelope and others standing beside me,
"That bitch, I'll fucking kill her right now," said Penelope, Darwin grabbed her hand and stopped her.
"Don't! The boss is already angry because of this" he said, for which she huffed and said, "What is wrong with him? How can he date her."
"She's not his girlfriend, and she's here to accompany him for a business party as his partner and now I don't know how he will go there," He said, which earned a gasp from Penelope.
"Oh god! What have I done?I think I should go and apologize to him," she said while climbing the stairs, I grabbed her hand and stopped her.
"No don't, let it be, let him think that I did it," I said, I know very well what happens when he knows that this was actually Penelope's plan.
"No, I'll go and tell him everything. I can't let him think you did this," Penelope said.
I turned my head to her and said, "if you respect me please don't tell him anything."
I turned around and controlled my tears not to fall down my cheeks. I glanced down at Dimitri, he was looking at me with his big brown eyes and I can see he was trying to console me. I climbed up the stairs and all I can see was the look he gave me when she said it was me, he looked at me like he was disgusted by me. Never in my life, someone has looked at me like that.
I took a step up and something hard hit my nose. I raised my head to see a furious Nikolai. His face was radiating anger, and it was scaring me. I gulped and stepped back; I tripped and was about to fall but his strong arm wrapped itself around my waist.
He pulled me closer to his body, and my hands automatically reached his chest. His hot breath was on my face, his intoxicating smell hit my nostrils blinding me completely. I was staring into his mesmerizing blue eyes, and he was looking into mine. His grip on my waist tightened and in just the blink of an eye, he lifted me up and tossed me over his shoulder. Too shocked at his move I glanced at Penelope and others to find that all this while they turned around and stood there while giggling like teenage kids.
I was glaring at their backs and right at the moment I saw Flora walking out of the kitchen, I immediately screamed for help. She panicked and looked at me. What she did after that had me shocked. She saw me and giggled while turning around and walking away.
"What the fuck!" I yelled. and earned a slap on my butt by Nikolai.
"Language!" He told me and walked us to my bedroom. He kicked open my bedroom doors and closed it with another low kick.
He placed me down and pinned me to the door roughly. My back hit the door, and It hurts a bit. He placed his hands on either side of me, trapping me between him and the door. His face was inches far from mine, I can feel his hot breath on my face. My throat went dry from the closeness.
