Emily’s pov’s
I sprang up on my feet and went to the couch evans’s was sitting on.
“So how is my fake fiancee doing” I said smirking.
“Well he missed his girlfriend” he replied returning the smirk too.
“Oh really” I said moving close to him while he grinned at me.
“So why are you here?” I asked him placing my hands on his chest.
He looked susprised at what I did but he was quick enough to covered it up with a sly smile on his face.
“Apart from seeing your pretty face” he started, caressing my cheeks lovingly
“ Am also here to start working remember you ask me to come today” he replied standing up
“Hmm yeah” I mumbled still thinking about it.
“So you are ready to start working here” I asked him and walked back to my seat.
“I remembered you saying you did accounting right?” I asked him raising my brows at him.
Yes I did he replied excited.
“Oh well, so how good are you in accounting?” I asked.
“Well I would suggest you give me a trial to see for yourself” he replied smartly.
“That a smart answer” I complimented.
“Anyways I will be placing you in the accounting department, let’s give you a trial” I said smiling at him.
“Oh my God” he exclaimed.
“Thank you so much he much Emily, I promise to do my very best” he remark.
“Anything for my fake fiancee” I winked at him before I opened my laptop to do some work.
“Well I brought my friend he is the I told you about” he said nervously making me raised my head to look at him.
“Okay what did your friend studied” I asked without looking at him.
“Marketing” he replied lowly.
“That nice” I remark.
“Hmm I will fixed him somewhere not to worry” I said in assurance.
“Thank you so much” he added sincerely.
“I will instruct my PA so she can direct you to your department” I said to him and he nodded his head in understanding.
“And also do not forget to meet me by 4pm we have somewhere to go to” I said in a calm tone and he nodded his head again.
“I picked the landline and placed a call to my PA.
~”Come to my office now” I instructed.
~”Okay ma’am” she replied and I hung up.
The door open and Maya walked into my office slowly.
“You sent for me ma’am” she Said immediately she stopped walking.
“Yes, I need you to direct Mr Evans here to the accountant department and give him a office of his own” I instructed while she bowed.
“While you make sure his comfortable, make sure to also enlighten him on the company rules and others important things he needs to know” I added.
“Okay ma’am” she nodded bowing her head.
“This way Mr Evans” she said gesturing with her hands.
“Ermm before I forget there’s a friend of his” I said thinking.
“Ermm what his name” I asked staring at Evans waiting for his response
“Manson Philips” he replied immediately.
“Okay, please direct Mr Manson philips to the marketing department, ensure he works under Mrs alice and don’t forget to also enlighten him I said looking at her”
“Okay ma’am” she replied and left with Evans shutting the door properly.
“Hmm” I stared at the door as they left and thought about Evans.
I hope he doesn’t take this job for granted.
He needs to work diligently or I won’t think twice before I get him fired.
Cause I can’t condole insolence from any of my workers.
As I kept thinking a thought rang bell in my head.
I know nothing about him.
I don’t even know what his last name is.
Geez I forgot to ask him.
But that strange he never mentioned anything about his parents to me before I thought.
But he mentioned his friends last name and left his unsaid.
Why would he do that, is there anything his hiding from me.
“I would ask him when he meet up with me by 4pm” I concluded in my thoughts.
Evans pov’s
I walked out of her office and followed the direction of her PA.
I met Manson at the entrance of the waiting longue where I asked him to wait for me while I go in to speak to emily.
He sighted me and I signal for him to join us which he did hurriedly.
I know you are wondering why she didn’t ask for our resume, well that because I emailed it to her last night.
I know she’s pleased with it, but she has to put up her bossy attitude always.
“So much for having the boss as my fiancee” I smiled at my thoughts.
“Or didn’t she received it” I thought.
“Nevertheless the important thing is that” I got the job for me and my friend.
The PA kept giving us glance but I choose to ignored her.

“Well Mr Evans this is your office” Maya said jolting me out of my thought.
Are you for real I asked looking at the beautiful office given to me.
“Yes Mr Evans” she said smiling.
“Thank you so much” I said to her as she left.
I walked in and inspect the beauty of the office.
The decoration, lightening and how organizes it was made it look so wonderful.
I stare at it in admiration, and was marvel at how spacious it was.
“Not bad being a fake fiancee” I thought smiling.
I set out to work and got an update on the company’s account.
And all other projects the company has indulge in.
It was 2pm and I was very famished so I decided to go grab lunch for myself and Emily.
I would like to see her pretty face again, and maybe we could have lunch together.
I went outside the company and rushed to a nearby restaurant and grabbed some snacks and drinks.
As I walked back to the office I still had this feeling like I was followed
I kept turning around at several interval of time but It seems to me that everyone was minding their business.
Why do I keep having this feeling huh?
I decided to wave it off.
I got to the office and I took Emily personal elevator to her office.
I saw some of my colleagues giving me strange stare, I guess is because am in her personal elevator.
I got to get building and greeted her PA
“Is she in?” I asked her while she nodded politely.
Without knocking I pushed the door open to see her working on her laptop.
Typical business woman.
“Hey, I brought lunch for us” I said trying to explain myself to her and I hoping she doesn’t reject it.
“Awwn that so sweet” she cooed and I blushed.
O m g did someone just blushed she teased laughing lightly while I frown my face at her.
“No I didn’t” I retorted.
“Anyways let’s eat I bet your starving” I said quickly changing the topic while she nodded happily.
“Hmmmm” this is good she bemoaned.
Emily’s pov’s
I was surprised when I heard my door open
Who could it be and why didn’t my personal assistant inform me about the person presence.
I raised my head to see evans walking in with polythene bag in his hands
“Huh what’s that for” I thought vividly.
When he told me he brought lunch for me.
I felt loved and happy since a very long time.
Why do I feel like his acting like a real finace and not fake.
Why do I see sincerity in his eyes.
“Evans what your last name” I asked and I heard him cough out
“Are you okay” I asked in a panicked tone..
“Yes water” he mumbled lowly.
I rushed to get him a glass of water
Ate you fine now I asked him as he gulped down the content in the glass hurriedly.
“Yeah” he said.
“So the answer to my question” I asked.
“Hmm my parents are late” he said lowly.
“I can’t say anything now, I will open up to you with time” he said and left my office.
“Oh no I shouldn’t have asked” I thought sadly.

~Are you keeping a close eyes on him
“ Yes boss” I replied.
“ Good do a good job, you know we’ve been paid for this”
I understand boss.
Keep me updated, so that we can prepare on when too strike.

“Good” I said and hung up.
