Emily’s pov’s
We arrived at clement hospital and I rushed in without waiting up for Evans.
He looked bothered throughout the drive and he rarely said a word.
It was like he was lost in his own thoughts and wasn’t aware of what’s happening around his surroundings.
*To the nurse on the counter (receptionist)*.
“Am here to see jason James” I said rushing my words.
“Jason” she furrows her brows at me.
“He was brought in today, due to an accident”
I said quickly.
Someone just called us using his card” I rushed my words again.
“Oh ma’am who are you to him” she asked.q
“His sister” I said and she nodded looking at evans.
“And he is” she asked staring at Evans.
“His my fiancee” I replied her quickly..
“Okay” she said going through the files on her counter with rapt attention.
I was tapping my feet on the ground and sweating profusely as I was getting impatient of waiting for her.
“Oh God what’s taking her to long to go through the file” I thought.
She should hurray up I thought to myself as I stared at evans to see his attention wasn’t here at all.
He was lost but I decided to concentrate on my brother’s health.
I wonder what is bothering him.
“Oh this way ma’am” the nurse said jolting me out of my thought.
“Just give me the direction” I said tirelessly as I watch her arranged her files slowly.
“Okay, take your left when you get to the kiddies department you take your left and enter ward 7” she said gesturing with her hands.
“Okay thanks I said hurriedly walking off. But I didn’t feel Evans presence with me” so I quickly turned my back.
“Evans” I called but I got no reply.
“Evans” I half yelled and he startled looking around.
“Yes” he said looking at me .
“Is he fine” he asked again staring at the environment like he was lost.
“Let’s go” I said in finality as I was tired of his wired attitude.
“Oh” he said scratching the back of his head moving in the wrong direction.
“Oh no , this way” I said again rubbing my forehead in frustration.
“Yeah right this way” he said pointing at me as he moved.
“let’s go” he added trailing behind me now.
“Are you okay” I asked concerned and confused the same time.
“Oh me” he asked with a faux smile.
“Oh am very okay, never better” he said still faking a smile.
“Shut up Evans” I heard him muttered to himself.
“Hmm his definitely not okay” I thought to myself.
“Am going to find out what the problem is”I concluded in my thought.
We got to the kiddies department and I took my left as directed by the nurse on the counter.
I began to eyes search for ward 7 slowly.
“10, 8, 7 yes that it, let go in” I said sharply.
I breathed in after muttering an inaudibly prayer to my hearing alone.
I pushed the door open slightly, then I boldly push the door open.
I walked in and I was welcome by the smell of medicine and injections.
Gosh this smells makes me sick, yeah that’s how much I dislike hospitals.
I turned to my right side to see someone lying on the bed with drips connected in so many parts of his body.
“Oh no” I shrieked.
“Tell me it a lie, that’s not my brother” I mumbled.
I didn’t get the courage to move and confirm who the person on the bed was.
But the sight I behold was something you would shed tears for.
I felt a hand on my shoulder and I turned around to see Evans behind me, I have even forget he was here with me.
“My jason” I said and bursted into a loud cry as I hugged his shoulder crying more.
“It okay, let’s confirm who it is first” he said to me calmly as he patted my back.
“But…..” I was trying to say when he placed his fingers on my lips and used his other hands to wipe my tears slowly as we both stared at each other deeply.
“Oh no, that feeling is back again” I thought
Why do I react this way to his touch, why?
“Let’s go” he said as we moved to the direction of the person laying on the bed.
I walked and I saw the face and it wasn’t that of Jason.
“Rodgers” I muttered visibly shaking.
“That’s not Jason” I said looking at Evans in fear.
“Whatt” he said confused.
“Little bro” I said in tears as I held until his hands.
“How did this happen” I added still in tears.
“No it not you, am dreaming” I laugh turning to Evans.
“Tell me am dreaming” I hit his chest as I half yell but he keeps shaking his head negativity..
Evans pov’s
“Tell me am dreaming, she hit my chest” as she half yell but I kept shaking my head negativity..
The pain in her eyes made me want to cry.
I wish I could take them away.
But why did she call him Rodger instead of Jason.
“Rodgers” she muttered again in tears.
“It okay” I hushed rubbing her hair softly.
“Is he your brother?” I asked lowly not wanting her to feel sad all over again.
“Yes” she said turning to the direction of the bed.
“Wow, jason looks handsome” I said trying to make her chuckled and she did sniffing in.
“He sure did, but this isn’t jason” she added sadly using the back of her palms to clean up the tears from her eyes..
“Whatt” I said raising my head to stare at her, wondering what she meant.
“But his your brother?” I asked and she nodded
“So how comes his your brother but not Jason” I asked again wanting a reply from her immediately.
“This is Rodgers my other brother” she sniffed in, pointing at the guy laying on the bed.
“Hmm” I said rubbing my jaw.
“If this is Rodgers like you have said” I pace around.
“Then where is Jason” I added.
“I got no idea, this is so fusrating” she pulled her hair backwards.
“Am still finding this hard to believe” I said to her.
“But why was Jason mentioned to your dad when the person called” I further asked her.
“That’s what am trying to understand” she added.
“Let me call my dad” she pulled out her phone from her bag.
~ “Hello dad” she said trying her best to sound calm as he picked up .

~ “Was it really my son who had an accident”
~ Dad calm down.
~Was Rodgers by any way with Jason I said instead.
~ Why are you asking me that instead of giving a reply to my question.
~ Please dad just answer this I pleaded.
~ Yes they both went out together early to get something for you
“Shit” I cussed taking my mouth away from the phone.
~ Emily I heard dad spoke out.
~Is anything wrong he further asked.
~ No dad we are coming home now , let me speak to the doctor I said and hung up before he asked more questions.
***Somewhere far in maryland**
A man was seen smoking cigarettes as two hefty other men stood behind him on guard with there guns.
Two boys walked in dragging a young man with them who looked brutally beaten.
“Let me go” the young man yelled.
They arrive in front of the man smoking.
“Boss” they said bowing to him but he ignored and looked deeply at the guy in front of him.
“Who the hell are you” the young man screamed.
“Your biggest enemy the boss” replied with a heavy smirk on his face.
