Emily’s pov’s
“Do you like uncle Evans” she asked staring deeply at me.
“Whattttt” I said choking on my spit…
I glanced at Evans and I saw him stare at me deeply
I guess his anxiously waiting for my response.
“What is it with Eva and her mouth?” I thought .
“Why can’t she just keep silent or rather not say anything at all” I thought to myself.
“What do I say now oh God save me” I prayed.
“I can’t give an answer to that question because I don’t love him” I said to myself.
“Or maybe I do” I thought frustrated.
I need to tell Eva to keep shut, she is the one who brought up this subject and now they are all staring at me waiting for my response.
“Mommy can you say something” Eva said looking at me deeply and Evans raised his head up to have a glance at me.
I was about saying something to them..
When my phone rang and I sighed in relieved while I saw there faces fell in disappointment..
“Thank you” I muttered to myself.
I bring the phone out of my handbag and I saw the caller ID to be my mom.
“Oh no this is bad” I said in fear.
It been long she called and whenever she does there is something important she want to say to me or she wants to scold or nag.
“Why is she calling me now?” I thought praying silently but doesn’t end in another argument.
What could it be this time, I just hope it none of the two.
I just wish she just called to say hi and nothing more.
I pick up and excused myself from Evans and Eva.
~ Hello I said lowly over the phone.
~ Emily dear I heard my mom voice call my name and I could still hear my dad voice from the background.
“I guess they are together”.
~ “How is my grandchild?” she asked I’m delight.
~ “she’s fine mom and how are you and Dad?” I asked also.
~ my child, we both are fine” she replied nonchalantly.
~ “Mom is anything wrong” I asked her immediately.
~ “Must there be something wrong before I decide to call my duagther” she replied quickly with a bit of anger in her voice.
~ Am Sorry mom, I was just trying to.. I was still saying when she cut me off quickly.
~ just keep your explanation to yourself alright.
~ “Well the reason I called was because of the video I saw the online” she paused.
“I guess this isn’t a good one” I sighed.
~ “why didn’t tell us you were seeing such a handsome man” my mom teased
~ “Mom stop it, I wasn’t seeing any man apart from George” I said
~ “I don’t like that Geroge of a guy” she said adamantly while I roll my eyes like she can see me.
“She barely likes any guy I have dated in the past, so what’s her buzz with Evans”.
~ “Well me and your dad has decided to get a finacee for you if you don’t get one yourself” she said simply.
~ “What” I yelled.
~ “What made you think I need a man mom” I half yelled.
~ “I know you need one because you aren’t getting younger and your daughter needs a father she’s needs to experience that fatherly love” she said soberly.
~ “Mom if you are worried about Eva then I want to let you know that she’s fine” I said quickly and she huffed over the phone.
~ Your dad and I have already decided and we are giving you two weeks to present your husband to be or you marry any man we chose for choose for you” she said sternly.
~ “Yes honey, you better do as your mom has said” I heard dad voice.
Oh no mom has dad on her side, I knew her calling would never be a pleasant one.
~ “mom can I come over the house, so that we can talk this through” I said calmly hoping she agrees.
~ “There is nothing to talk about Emily, just do as I have said and there would be no problem” she replied me.
~ “But mom you can’t do that, you..” I was still saying when she hung up on me.
“F**k” I cussed and stomp my foot on the ground in anger.
Damn what is it with mom and dad huh??
Gosh I know they meant every word they said but they need to stop meddling in my affairs.
It my life and I choose to make all the choices concerning it not them.
“What do I do now, where do I get a finace” in two weeks
“Should I call Geroge” I thought
“Your parents dislike him already my” subconscious reminder..
“What do I do then?” I asked myself tiredlessly.
“Where do I get a finacee within two weeks or did she think am a magician.
She knows my experience with men were horrible
I don’t what to get married to just any man
I thought about it and I don’t know what to do
“Should I call Sasha”
I wouldn’t want to be a burden to her
“What do I do now”
“Ahhhhhh emily think” I said hitting my forehead lighty and tapping my feet on the floor with anger
“What do I do” I muttered to myself..
After wasting so much time alone thinking about what mom said I walked back to our table and sat down still lost in my thoughts..
I agree I do need a man on my life !!!
And I need to give my duaghter a daddy
Atleast she deserves the love of a father and I can’t fill both spaces in her life.
But most men are after my wealth, some of them won’t treat Eva well
And there are some who wouldn’t want to settle with a woman with a child.
“Are you okay Emily” Evans asked in a very charming voice..
“That voice could melt one heart
“Yes I am” I replied blinking rapidly
“You sure, cause you bearly took your ice cream and it almost melting” he said staring at my eyes..
“Oh shit” I cussed inwardly..
“Language mommy” Eva warned in a stern tone..
“Sorry baby” I said nervously.
“You can confide in me at anytime” he said rubbing my palms softly..
“I stared at his eyes and he did the same..
We both looked at each other as if searching for something in our eyes until I withdrawn my palms from his.
“Yeah sure” I said lowly pulling my palms from his hold.
Emily needs a man, Any suggestions??
