Emily’s pov’s
When we got home it was late already and Eva was already asleep.
“Please help me take Eva to her room” I said to Evans and shut the door of my car.
“Sure” he said and help me carry Eva from the car.
“I guess your arms is better now” I said looking at him and he gave me a light smile.
He took her up to her room and tuck her to bed after kissing her forehead like a father would do.
He looked so good when he did that and I couldn’t help but wish he was truly Eva’s father.
Why do I always compare him to be a father, when ever I see him around Eva.
The kind of care and loves in his eyes for Eva is so visible.
Am happy his arms is better now and he can use them perfectly
“Does this mean he would go away” I thought sadly thinking of how bad his absence is going to affect us.
“This is what you had wanted for a long time right” my subconscious reminded.
Why do I feel sad knowing he would soon leave us.
What’s this pain I feel in my chest when he is no close to me.
Why do my best wish for him to be around me always.
“Evans” I mumbled to myself still in thought
I don’t what him to go anymore, I want him here with me and Eva.
I enjoy his company a lot and I have gotten used to him being around us.
“This is the same guy that poured you a bucket of ice cream my subconscious reminded me” I sighed as I thought of it
After going back to my room I had my bath and decided to come downstairs maybe I can relaxed my brain without thinking much about what my mom said earlier.
I got downstairs to see Evans in the sitting room staring into nothing.
“Hey” I mumbled and tapped his shoulder lightly which startled him a bit.
“Are you okay” I asked and he startled turning to my direction.
“You need anything” he asked instead while I shake my head negativity.
“Are you okay” I repeated again staring at him with concern in my eyes.
“Yeah just thinking” he paused giving me a quick glance.
“What’s the problem, tell me I can be of help” I said eagerly seating close to him…
Evans pov’s
“What’s the problem, tell me I can be of help” she said eagerly seating close to me.
“It nothing I don’t want to bother you with my problems, you have done a lot for me” I said sighing without sparing her a glance.
“I insist” she added moving closer to me.
“Since you insisted on knowing I will let you know”
“Well, since my arm is okay now and I don’t need assistance from anyone” I paused
“I guess I would be leaving and am very sure you are happy about that” I said chuckling.
I look at her to see she felt really sad, this made me confused because I thought she never wanted me here.
“But I don’t feel like going, have come to love this place with eva and you around” I said and quickly close my mouth with my palm glancing at Emily slightly…
“ She chuckled at what I did and this made me blushed.
“Yeah have thought about that too” she said mumbling..
“I wish you didn’t have to go” she said the last part sliently but I heard everything clearly.
“Really I said and beamed in smiles, while she chukled lightly
“Yeah” she said nonchalantly.
“You know I have become so used to your presence that not having you around me makes me sick” she added looking lost in thought.
“There are so many things going on in my life and ever since you came you have managed to put a smile on my face” she added and sighed softly.
“What going on with her I wish I can know everything, I want to be there for her at all times”
“Forget what I just said am fine” she said nervously waving her hands at me.
I can feel it in me, she is in distress but she would never open up to me.
How do I know what’s going with her when she refused to talk to me about them.
I know am not in her league but if she can just open to me. If she can let me know what the problems are maybe then we can find a solution together.
“Are you sure you are okay” I asked her and she shakes her head negatively.
“Can I ask you a question, if you don’t mind “ I said to her lowly as I watched her stare at nothing.
Al”right ask your question” she said and use her hands to gesture for me to speak up.
“Well the guy from…” I started and paused staring at her face.
“What would be her reaction to this question I thought in fright”.
“What if she gets angry about it, I wouldn’t want that at all”.
“Speak up Evans” she said jolting me out of my thought and I nodded my head.
“So I just wanted to know the relationship you share with the guy in your office the other day”
“What’s his name again” I thought rubbing my forehead softly thinking about the guy’s name.
“What guy” she asked in confusion.
“The guy that came to your office and picked a fight with me for reason I don’t know” I said bumping my fist on the sofa with anger written all over my face.
“Oh mine, you mean George” she asked chickling while I nodded.y head in affirmation.
Oh George used to be my boyfriend she said and I felt sad.
“But not anymore, it over between us because I don’t feel anything for him” she shrugged her shoulder while I breathe out in relief.
“Wow” I said simply.
“Enough about me, let’s talk about you” she said putting on a faux smile.
“Alright” I said and clasped my hands together.
“Do you have a girlfriend” she asked staring deeply at me.
“I choked on my spit and stare at her shocked before feigning coughs.
Emily had gone through a lot don’t you think so??
