Clara
I stretch and turn lazily, but the where I am sleeping feels very soft, just like my mate's bed. Wait! When did I get into my mate's bed? Where am I?
I open my eyes and look around me like a mad woman. This is definitely not Damien's room. The room feels very strange. Damien's sweet scent is not in here either. The bedrooms back in the pack house don't look like this.
I immediately sit up and try to remember what happened to me last night. I got out of the pack house in the middle of the night and walked around the neighborhood. I wanted to go for a run in the woods but I didn't go. Something must have happened.
I can remember that sharp and strong waves of pain hitting through my body. I touch my tummy remembering how much it hurt.
Ahah! There was someone. A man who has a strong manly scent. Liam! He said his name is Liam! Shit! I passed out in front of the stranger! Did he bring me to his place?
The door clicks open and a man who looks to be the age of my father walks to me. Well, it is really difficult to tell the exact age of a werewolf since they are nearly immortal.
"Good morning. I am Doctor Greene. Alpha Liam called me to check on you," the man says with a friendly smile. I give him a small smile and frown in confusion.
Alpha Liam?
So that stranger guy is an Alpha? I had a strong feeling he doesn't belong to our pack. So that means that I am not even near home. Where on earth am I?
"So how are you feeling?" he asks me while standing on the side of the bed.
"I feel fine," I reply him.
"Okay. I am going to do some quick check ups on you," he says.
"Have ever feel that kind of pain before?" he asks me.
"No. I have never experienced such strong pain. It hurts really so much," I tell him and he nods.
"Have you been with your mate recently?" he asks me.
"Yes. I just met him and we haven't been together for long," I reply in confusion. How is my mate related to this kind of pain?
"Okay. Have you been engaged with him in any kind of sexual intercourse?" he asks me. He looks really serious but I am dying of embarrassment. Why do I have to share my non-existent sexual life with him?
"No," I reply and bite my lip. I think my cheeks are now cherry red because of embarrassment.
"I see. Female werewolves experience heat waves when they meet there mates because they want to mate. Those are the demands of the body and you can't control them. They can come at anytime and sometimes they can be really strong. The good news is, the cure is very easy. You just have to mate with him," he tells me.
Easy? He thinks that is easy? Well, my mate's is literally in a different world from mine! Why do these damn heat waves just come at such a wrong time?
"Okay. I think I will now take my leave," the doctor says after finishing up his check-ups.
When walks to the door and opens it. After walking out, he closes the door behind him. I can here some murmurs behind the door. I think the doctor is talking to someone. As much as I would like to overhear their conversation, I want to get the hell out of here.
I get off the bed and stand on my feet. Good thing I am still in my clothes. Now it will be easy to get our of here. I think the murmurs have died out. I think they have gone away.
I walk to the door and turn the door knob. Alright. I have to get out of this place before another wave of pain hits me and I pass out again. I open the door and land into a wall of man? The handsome Alpha raises an eyebrow at me.
"Going somewhere, Miss Clara?" he asks me. Now I feel like I am a sneaky thief, just the way I felt when I was escaping from Damien's house.
"Um... Yeah," I mutter.
"Where?" he inquires
"Home," I reply.
"I will escort you. Just tell me where and I will take you," he says, and I stare at him in confusion.
"Why would you do that?" I ask him without thinking.
"You know, just in case the same pain comes back and you pass out. I wouldn't want that to happen to you when you are alone," hd replies with a smile.
"Look, I know I have caused you enough trouble already. I think I can take care of myself," I tell him and he folds his hands in front of his chest.
"I insist," he says and I mentally roll my eyes. He can't be serious, can he? Well, he looks to be more than serious.
"I met you on my way from home. I come from the Halfmoon pack," I tell him.
"Just there?" he asks me with wide eyes. "You should have told me. I would have taken you there instead."
"I had passed out," I remind him.
"Oh, yeah. You couldn't have told me, but I should have thought of that!" he says.
"You wouldn't have gone through all this trouble. I am really sorry if I wasted your time being a burden," I tell him.
"You don't have to be sorry. I was just doing the right thing," he says.
"You should have breakfast before you leave. It has already been prepared," he adds. I want to refuse his offer and just run home, but he has already had enough trouble with me. It would be very rude of me not to eat the food that has already been prepared.
"Okay," I tell him and he gives me a smile.
Alpha Liam's house is pretty fancy. Not like the stuffed pack house at home or the clean formal house of the Vampires. This one is very modern and everything looks to cost a fortune. Liam must be a very rich Alpha.
There are so many battlers in the house moving about doing their assigned jobs. I am amazed by Liam's system of operation. Every Alpha has his own way of managing his pack, and everyway is good enough to maintain harmony and keep the pack together in loyalty of their Alpha.
Liam leads me to the massive dinning room where the food has already been put on the table. I must say that the food has a very enticing aroma but I think it is too much. Half of the very long dinning table is filled with food.
"Are we going to be joined by others?" I ask him while looking around for someone walking into the room, but I don't see any. There are only two women dressed like servants and either sides of the table. The two ladies stand quietly without saying anything. Maybe they are not allowed to say something.
"No, this is only for you," he replies while pulling out a chair for me. I sit down and stare wide-eyed at all the food on the table. There is no way I am going to be able to finish all this. I don't even know where to begin.
"Aren't you going to join me?" I ask him and he gives me a smile.
"No. I already had mine," he responds.
"Okay but I am not going to promise you that I will finish a reasonable fraction of this food," I tell him and he chuckles.
"I know the food is a lot. I didn't know what you like and what you don't so I ordered for a variety," he says.
"That is so reasonable of you," I say and look down on the food. Where do I begin from. The lady standing on my side of the table walks forth and gets me a plate. She asks me what I want to eat and puts it on the plate. I am not used to being served like this even though I am the daughter of the Alpha.
Liam drives me in his car back home. When we reach the territory of my pack, he parks his car infront of the pack house.
"Is this the right address?" he asks me.
"Ofcourse," I reply. He gets out of the car and walks to my side of the car and opens the door for me. I get out of the car and notice that my father is outside talking to someone. I think it must be related to Jason's ceremony.
He looks surprised to see me coming home in a man's car. He dismisses the man he was talking to and walks to us. Liam looks very confident seeing my father.
"Clara?" he says in confusion. It is not surprising that he doesn't know I never slept home last night.
"Alpha Fabian. It is nice to see you again," Liam says and my father's face suddenly lights up.
"Liam! What are you doing here? With my daughter?" my father asks looking both confused and happy. So these two know each other?
"She was a guest at my house last night," he says with smile and my dad doesn't look any bit of angry.
"Oh, I see," dad says with a nod.
"I will be in my room," I excuse myself.
"It's okay, dear you go ahead," dad says. Seeing Liam has really put him in a good mood.
"Thanks for everything," I tell Liam.
"Don't mention it," he responds. He is such a gentleman. I walk into the pack house and leave these two Alphas to talk about their boring Alpha stuff.
