I wake up with a smile on my face today. I feel good. My whole body feels so good. No more freaking heat waves. I can't believe I did it last night. After all these years of keeping myself for my mate, I finally lost my virginity.

I throw the covers off my face and open my eyes. It's morning already. The sun has already come out and I think everyone out there is awake.
Damien is not in the bed. I know he slept in here. I would stretch a bit in the night just to feel if he is still there with me. Where could he have gone? Could he have left? My heart sinks at the thought. I wanted to be with him for some more time.
I throw the bedsheets off me and get out of the bed just to check around the room. I can't see his clothes or boots anywhere in the room. I pick up my nightshirt from the floor and throw it on. I dash to the bathroom door. He could be in the bathroom, you never know.
I open the door and find everything quiet. He isn't in here. He has gone back. My heart sinks and my spirits take a nose dive.
I was really looking forward to waking up to him. I drag my legs back to the bedroom and sit on the bed. The bedroom still smells like him. It feels like he is still here with me yet he is so far.
I slowly raise my hand and touch my mark. He marked me and now I am his. He will come back eventually. Well, I also marked him so he is mine. I get up from the bed after reassuring myself that he is not going anywhere. We are stuck together forever now.
I get into the bathroom and take off my shirt. I take a thorough shower and brush my teeth. Today is a going to be a good day! I assure myself and get some clothes to put on from my closet. After drying my hair and dressing up, I head out of my room.
My brother's engagement is tomorrow. Everything is already in place. My father has hired the best party planners in the area. Alpha Fabian does not do anything without adding an extravagance to make him look over the top. He has invested a lot of his time and attention to this ceremony and I am sure it is going to turn out just great.
I wonder if he will ever prepare such an awesome party for Damien and me. Will the two most important men in my life be able to live in harmony one day. I really hope so. All the trouble and war that Damien's family is expecting from my father really makes me wonder what on earth happened between them.
My father seemed to be interested in knowing who my mate is. Now that Damien has already marked me, I don't want to hide him from people. Once this ceremony is over, father will start demanding to see my mate.
I walk down stairs and find Jason and Riley talking to the party planner. As usual, Jason's hand is around Riley's waist. Everyone knows that she is his. I also want the whole world to know that I am Damien's. I wish that moment comes soon.
Riley is the first to see me in the room. She gives me a sweet smile and walks to me. Riley is such a conserved lady. She is the daughter of the Beta of Silverback pack. She is very humble and graceful. I like her organised ladylike character but I don't wish to be like her. I want to be lively and excited. I think that is why my father likes her as his daughter-in-law.
"Clara, how are you?" she asks me.
"I am fine. How are you doing? How are the preparations going?" I ask her.
"Great. As you can see, everything is set," she replies.
"I know your party is going to be epic. I can't wait," I tell her and she chuckles.
"Hey, sis," Jason says while walking to us. He puts his hand around Riley's shoulder and stands beside her with a huge grin on his face. I don't think Jason can keep his hands to himself when he is around Riley.
"Hey, you," I respond and he chuckles.
"So are you planning on bailing out on attending my party? You look very suspicious," Jason tells me.
"How suspicious do I look? Why would I miss the ceremony of the century when my big brother finally gets gets to be with the women of his dreams?" I ask him. Riley's cheeks heat up and she looks up at Jason who is now grinning like a fool.
"Good because I ordered for a pretty expensive dress for you to wear tomorrow and it will break Riley's heart if you don't wear it," he says.
"I would miss intentionally if your heart was the one to be broken but since it is Riley's, I will be there two hours earlier," I say and they both laugh.
"I know very well that you hadn't come to check on me, so you can go ahead to your target destination," Jason says and Riley immediately swats his arm. These two look so cute together and I know for sure that Riley will be a good woman for my brother.
"Since you don't want me here, I will go ahead to wherever you think I was going," I tell Jason who just shrugs. I give them one last smile and head out.
I hope to run into Emily. I feel like it has a really long time and I have a lot to tell her. Instead, I run into my father. Looking into his eyes makes me feel really guilty. Am I in trouble? Does know what happened last night. Shut up! I shout at my thoughts.
"Oh, Clara," he says and walks to me. Oh! He looks excited to see me. This makes me even more nervous.
"Hi, dad," I respond and put on a nervous smile.
"Everything is perfectly in place for your brother's ceremony tomorrow. All the closest and important guests have been invited except for one," he says while looking at me with a stern look. Well, I am not the one who made the guest list and I don't know who was and who wasn't invited to the party, so I have no idea why father should be telling me this.
"And you are the only one who can deliver my invitation to him," he adds. I frown my face in confusion. If it was her then maybe it could be Emily, but her father is definitely invited so she will be there for sure.
"Who could that important guest be?" I ask him.
"Your mate," he replies. What? My heart makes a summersault. Did I hear that right? He can't be serious, can he?
"I know you told me that you haven't been together for long but I think that this ceremony is going to be the perfect time for us to bond with him and the two of you to know each other more," he says.
This is bad! My dad wants to meet Damien! Tomorrow! This is so sudden! What do I do now.
"He is free to bring with him whoever he wants to come with. There is no limitation when it comes to him. Since he is bound to be my son-in-law someday, I think he shouldn't miss this important family event. It will be beneficial for him to get to know the family," he adds.
"You are right, dad," I stammer and chew the inside of my cheeks. Damn it! Damn it! I can't believe this is happening right now.
"I am glad you see things the way I do. I hope I can get along with him. I am looking forward to meeting him tomorrow night," he says with a smile and walks away.
If Damien appears on that ceremony then my brother's long anticipated ceremony will be ruined! My father will eventually lose it and things will totally go haywire. I won't let that happen. At least not on Jason's event. I know how important it means to him and I can't just ruin it for him.
I will make up an excuse tomorrow night that he couldn't make it. Not everyone that was invited to the party will attend it. Things happen, right? I know that my father will be disappointed but the ceremony will go on smoothly. No blood will be shed and everyone will get to keep their heads on their necks.
