Clara
After running out of tears, I finally decide to get out of my room. I have a slight headache because of all that crying. I head down stairs to the kitchen to get some water. The kitchen is very big. Most of the time the house keepers keep food in there Incase someone wants to have food at any time.
The last food I had was the late breakfast that I had at Damien's house. There he goes again. I thought I had got him out of my head for a moment, but I think I have been lying to myself the whole time. The mate bond is still new. It hasn't grown that strong.
The mate bond starts to get stronger when you are with your mate most of the time and his or her feels reflect yours. Now that we are away from each other, I don't know if it is going to get weaker a disappear at some point or it is going to get stronger until we can't stay away from each.
I get some leftover food and heat in up in the microwave. I put some on a plate and sit on a stool. Just I start to dig in someone comes in the kitchen. It's Jason.
"Hi, Clara," he says as he walks towards me.
"Hi, Jason," I wave to him and continue eating.
"What happened? You didn't come to dinner," he says.
"I just didn't feel like it. I wasn't hungry," I reply.
"And now you are hungry?" he asks with a raised eyebrow and I nod.
"If there is something wrong, you can tell me. I still care about you as my little sister though you have grown into a big girl now. I am so sorry I haven't been checking on you lately. I just got caught up in preparing for the engagement, you know," he says.
"Don't mind me. I can take care of myself. You should just contrate on your responsibilities and Riley," I assure him with a smile though he doesn't seem convinced at all.
"If there is something you are hiding from me, just know that I will find out eventually. But I will just let it slip for now since I am quite occupied. I will take your words for it," he says and opens the fridge.
"So how is Riley," I ask him. His face usually lights up when her name mentioned. I know he loves her do much.
"She's fine, only that she has been stressing about our engagement this weekend. By the way, you should spare some time and check on her. She hardly gets to see you," he says.
"I will, I promise," I tell him and he smiles at me before downing on a bottle of water.
After Jason leaves the kitchen, I am left alone. The house is surely very quiet. I bet everyone is awake back at Damien's house. Okay. I accept it. I won't be able to get him out of my head that easily.
I later head out of the house and stare up in the sky at the bright moon. Some people are still awake. I wonder if I should go and check on Emily, but she must be asleep by now. She usually goes to bed really early. I doubt that she could be awake at this time.
I walk through the neighbourhood without no specific aim. I just want to pass time. If I sit down or lay down in my bed, all that will come to my mind will be him. It's only him that I can think about right now. The more I think of him, the more I want to run back to his house and cuddle in his embrace. Only he is able to take away this sadness that is eating me up from inside.
The lights are still on in most houses. I think most of them have gone out to run in the woods and hunt. I could use a run right now. Maybe that is what I need. I remember the last time I did that, I ended up in the hands of my mate.
I desperately want to see him right now. I miss him s touch, his lips. I miss everything about him. Maybe if things had been normal between us, and all the history between my father and his family had never happened, maybe things would have gone well.
I would have been very excited to introduce my mate to my family and the whole pack. I wouldn't have to hide him from my father. I know that he will find out eventually. I can't hide the truth from him forever.
That's all I have been thinking about for the rest of the day. I am tired of all this lamentation. Gosh! I have hardly been with Damien for a day! Why can't I just move on and everything goes back to normal? Because we are meant to be together, I answer myself. Mates are stick with each other for the rest of their lives unless one rejects the other.

Rejection!
If I reject Damien and refuse to be his mate, then the mate bond can be broken! If I am lucky, then the moon goddess will give me a second chance. I'll get another mate who my family can accept as well as my pack!
But is that what I want? I want to be with Damien.
Damien is the only man that has ever meant so much to me even though I haven't got the chance to be with him for long. I can't deny the fact that even though he has some misunderstandings with my father, I still have hope that things will be okay some time and I will be able to be with Damien without living in fear of anything coming between us.
I walk towards the woods hoping to transform into my wolf when I get there so I can have a run and clear my head. I have walked a long distance from the neighbourhood of our pack. The rest of the territory has scattered houses and gardens. There are some pack members who are herders so there is also a pack farm. There are many animals there, especially cows.
The road continues to town. I wonder if I should just continue to town and walk around. You never know the odds could be in my favour. I could run into Damien or someone from his family.
Oh, jeez. I need to do something about these heavy thoughts. This is just too much. Just when I start arguing with my thoughts, a really strong scent hits my nostrils. It's not Damien's sexy and sweet scent. This one is so manly and strong.
Who is that? My wolf is also alert. The strong scent has awoken her.
"Hey there," a deep striking voice sounds from behind me, startling me out my thoughts. I immediately turn and find a hunk of a man standing there. The is not as tall as Damien but he has a broader chest and shoulders. He cocks his head to one side and looks me in the eyes. I can tell that he is a werewolf, but he is definitely not from this pack.
"Hi," I simply reply and he gives me a sexy bright smile.
"Hi. Am Liam. Why are you walking alone by yourself at this time of the night," he asks me.
"Am Clara. I..." A sharp strong pain hits through my body down though my chest to my lower stomach. I yelp loudly and fall on the ground. The stranger does not hesitate to lean over and check.
"What's the matter?" he asks me.
"It hurts so bad!" is all that I can bring myself to say. Another wave of pain hits me so hard I cry out and tears start to well in my eyes. What is this? I have never felt so much pain in my life. My vision starts to blur and I fight within in me so that I can stay awake. I can't lose my consciousness. I am a good distance away from home, and I am with a stranger.
"Are you okay, Clara?" he asks me with a confused look on his face.
The last thing I see is the strangers shaking me to wakeup and the terrified look in his eyes before everything goes black and silent.
