"Can you stop whatever you think you are doing? It's uncomfortable and I hate it,"
Nicole said in an annoyed voice making sure that Rafael knows that his actions, whatever his intentions were, doesn't sit well with her and she wasn't down for it, his coming back now and asking to be heard was all the way too suspicious for her to just let him do what he wants, she wasn't a pushover and he couldn't just come back with the whatever agenda he had and want them back to get after the way he duped her, it wasn't done like that, wait that was all her thinking, no that was what Natalie projected into her head, Rafael hasn't even told her what the fuck he wanted from her, so why was he making life difficult for her, he never called her back when he said he will, he didn't come back when he said they have to talk, the man was a confused human and she wasn't ready to accommodate him.
"Why? I am just trying to m***"
"Stop trying to do anything, don't send flowers to my workplace, I understand you said you need to talk to me but you don't have to send me flowers to talk, just either come over or tell me where we can meet up and talk, I hate that you are sending flowers to my workplace, once was okay but coming to work every morning for the past one week isn't cool, if it is to you, I don't fucking like it,"
She yelled.
"Why are you so angry about the flowers? I thought you liked them, didn't you call yesterday because you liked them?"
"Are you crazy Rafael? Did I sound like I liked them? Did I tell you I did? You said you will call me back, I was going to tell you I didn't want them but then you don't call back and I come today and meet four fucking bouquets of flowers and you think that's the right thing to do? Wait until I send them all over to your office at once,"
She yelled at him again, she didn't have time to be calm with him when he was bent on bringing out her bad side
"I didn't mean to get you riled up, I just, I am sorry, I will stop,"
"Better, now come and get your flowers off my property and also stop sending them, I don't want them, if I want flowers, we grow them in a bunch at my house,"
"Don't you think that's a little harsh, seeing that I didn't mean any harm?"
"I don't care if you think it is harsh just don't send anything of that nature to me again."
"Fine, I won’t,"
"Good,"
She replied and hung up, he called her back again, she wanted to ignore him but decided not to.
"What?"
"You don't have to be so hostile Nicole,"
He said, she rolled her eyes.
"Okay, Rafael what do you want?"
She asked in a much calmer voice.
"Can we meet? At my place?"
He had to be kidding her, did he really think she was crazy enough to meet up at his place? He has to be a clown if he thought that would happen.
"You are playing with me, right? Cuz why will I go meet you up in your house?"
"Why then, I can come and meet you, I don't want to meet with you somewhere public,"
He replied.
"Why? Do you want to kidnap me or get me killed,"
She asked, she didn't mean it but once the questions were out, she waited for him to answer.
"You know I won't do that Nicole, can we just meet up and talk, not somewhere public, somewhere we can talk without being distracted,"
He answers.
"Fine, you can meet me up at Del Cole , not the hotel, the gallery, I will wait for you until two, if you don't show up, I am leaving it's Friday today and I need to rest,"
"Okay, I will be there in ten minutes, should I get you anything?"
"No, I don't want anything from you, I have a trauma,"
She responded and hung upon him.
"Clean up,"
She said cleaning up her desk and removing everything that shouldn't be on it anyway, then, she made sure to pile his flowers along with her office so that he can see what a mess it was that he was causing in her office, she was still doing that when a knock came on her door.
"That was quick,"
She said quickly sitting down, she looked up to see him entering her office, she rose out of courtesy.
"Hey, Nicole,"
He greeted using one of her numerous name derivatives, she wanted to tell him she was Nicole to him and only people who are close to her can call her that bit she ignored if she wanted this done and him out of her place soon then it was better to just listen to what he has to say and not engage him much because doing that would only prolong his stay in her presence and she damn well knew that wasn't good for her sanity.
"So? What do you want to talk about?"
"Really? Nicole? Why are you acting this way? We weren't fighting right?"
"Who said I was fighting with you Rafael? I asked a logical question because as you can see I don't have the time to beat about the bush,"
She responded she wasn't going to start talking to him as if they were friends.
"Remember they said you should talk to him, not be straight up rude to him, you still have to tell him,"
The voice in her head whispered, Nicole shunned the voice, she wasn't going to be nice, not when he was doing things that made her angry, she wasn't to be blamed, she was a fucking hormonal woman and he shouldn't be playing with her.
"Keep saying that,"
The voice whispered again.
"Are you even listening to what I am saying?"
She heard Rafael ask as she finally came back, she had been arguing with the voice in her head that she didn't even notice him talking.
"Can you come again?"
