When Nicole woke up the next morning, she expected to have morning sickness again which she was kind of used to already but when she woke up, she was perfectly okay, she got up, went to the restroom to wash up expecting it to hit her anytime soon, but she got ready for the day and still, she was okay, usually it last time when she woke up to about an hour after she that but today, there was nothing, she didn't throw up, neither did she feel faint, in fact, the felt like she had more than enough energy, it was surprising but she was kind of relief even though she knew it was too early to be happy.
"Juliet loved the work Nicole,"
Her sister said entering her room without knocking, she inhaled Natalie's perfume which would have irritated her before but it was okay now, to be sure, she moved close to Natalie sniffing her.
"Huh, are we okay? Should I call the doctor?"
Natalie asked moving back from her with a weird facial expression.
"Nah, I am fine, I am just checking to make sure my morning sickness is indeed gone, and I think it is,”
She said smiling at her sister who frowned obviously not getting her.
"And you are doing that by sniffing me?"
Natalie asked.
"Yes, usually your body-spray makes me nauseous and I throw up but now it doesn't, which is great news as it indicates that my morning sickness phase is over,"
Nicole responded, twirling around. She felt light and relief.
"Congratulations on successfully overcoming the first phase of pregnancy, some women experience it for longer but you are lucky,"
Natalie said, clapping her hands.
"Yeah, I agree but how do you know about that, you haven't been pregnant before,"
She inquired.
"I checked it out, I have been reading a lot about pregnant women and babies in general, I want to be a good aunt to my little niece or nephew,"
Natalie replied. Nicole was touched by the gesture.
"That's so sweet, you are already a good aunty, and little is so lucky to have you,”
"And I want to be better at it,"
Natalie responded.
"Thank you, Natalie,"
Nicole said, smiling at her pretty carbon copy.
"You are welcome, so, what are you going to do about Rafael? He didn't tell me what he wanted to talk to you about but I know, he wants to be on your good side again for him to go through the length of talking to me and even apologizing, it means he wants you guys to be okay,"
Natalie said. Nicole didn’t believe that was the case.
"I don't think so, I feel he just wants to get some things off his head, I am not ready to talk to him yet Natalie, I thought about it last night, I am not ready yet and I don't think it is okay for us to get back together even if he wants that which I highly doubt, there is nothing that he has said or done so far that indicated that he wants us back together.
Nicole replied.
"I am not going to rush you nor tell you what to do but don't push him away Cole, don't think about just yourself in this, I don't mean forget yourself either but when weighing the pros and cons think about your little one too okay?"
Natalie advised.
"Yes, thank you, Natalie,"
She said sincerely.
"Sure, anyway Juliet loved the gift and she was the one that gave Rafael my number,"
Natalie said changing the conversation, Nicole had suspected it would be one of Natalie's friends that gave him the number and it just got confirmed.
"I am happy she likes it,"
"Yeah, I have to go, I need to finish up where Elle and I left off yesterday, we still have a lot to go over,”
"Sure, I am going over to Del Cole, too but not now though,"
"Alright bye,"
Natalie said and left, Nicole looked around her room thinking of what Natalie had said, could it really be that Rafael wanted them to be together, and would she be able to do that without fearing that if something similar happens in the future, he won't ditch her again? She had thought so much about it last night and hadn't gotten an answer and she knew she won't get an answer right now either, she let go of the thought and concentrated on getting the drawing she was on to done, she needed to meet with her new artist today but wanted to finish the drawing so that what is left is to paint, her room was officially her drawing room because it currently had three different drawing boards with different drawing on them waiting to be painted, she wanted Aron to do the paint for the other two and she was going to send it to him today, after which she had to meet the artist she recently talked with, he was going to work at the gallery along side others who would join soon, she planned on having a team of artist who would be allowed to showcase their individual and also the team talents, so much plans, which is what she should be focusing on, and also her baby not a past she should be letting go, What ever Rafael had to tell her, she would listen to him and continue on her part, she has to focus on the more important things.
"Focus, focus,"
She hummed as she continued her work, her phone beeped signaling an incoming message, she wanted to ignore but since it could be an important text, she got up and went to check, it was a good morning message from no other than Rafael.
"I am supposed to focus,"
She said wearily and pressed the delete button without reading the full message, yes she was going to let him talk but nothing more.
"Focus,"
She said again and went back to work...
