Nicole drove down to her gallery, got everything she needed and the work she needed to finish, told her receptionist she wasn't coming back today, and got into her car again, she dialed Aron's number.
"What's up, Nicole?"
Aron's voice echoed, it was obvious that he wasn't out of bed yet, dude was a lazy human because why else would he still be in bed at almost noon.
"How come you are still sleeping, Aron?"
"I am awake, how else would I be able to take your call, or do you mean to say I sleepwalk?"
"Whatever, I am coming over to your studio so better get off the bed, go take a bath and come open the door for me or I am going to break in,"
She threatened.
"What the fuck? I am on break, I am not supposed to leave the house until I have to go drop work at the academy, don't make me leave the house so early,"
He lamented, she rolled her eyes.
"Early? It's almost twelve, literally Fifteen minutes to twelve, who the fuck stays in bed to this time?"
She asked, rolling her eyes.
"Me, me, I do, now leave me alone,"
"Grumpy, all I need you to do is open the place, you can go back home and sleep all you want,"
"Fineeee, just know I don't like you right now,"
"That's okay, I just need to get this job done, doesn't matter if you like me now or not,"
She responded, starting her car and typing his studio address on the GPS, she drove out of her gallery.
Since the opening of the gallery, she hadn't spent much time in it, it already attracted a lot of people and she was working hard on getting a lot of works done so that she can have many works on display and she was even working on helping upcoming artist to showcase and sell off their works, so far she was already working with Zein and Aron, Aron wasn't an upcoming but his piece that was left after the exhibition was still at the gallery, though most were already sold but still being showcase until the owners come to claim them, she plans on working with a lot of artists and giving their beautiful works the exposure they needed.
"So help me, Lord,"
She worded, laying off all thoughts as she concentrated on driving. She got to Aron's studio a few minutes before he arrived, the studio was located in one of the most beautiful and calm streets of Florida, it has a touch of nature that Del Cole didn't have and she loved it here, the workspace was even better because it was transparent and people passing can see you working, the studio was art itself and she was jealous of Aron for owning it, even though she won't tell him that.
"You are late,"
She said to Aron who walked up to her and hugged her.
"I am here, that's all that matters right?"
"Yeah, thanks for coming, can you help me get my materials from the car?"
She asked and he complied immediately, they both moved the things she brought with her to the studio, she set up her workspace and went right to work while Aron cleaned up where he had worked.
"How can you leave your beautiful, huge and wide gallery and decide you want to work here instead?"
Aron asked her for the third time since she got here, he has been asking the same question and looking at her weirdly but she didn't mind, she liked working here.
"And she is keeping me quiet too,"
"You are being noisy dude, I am trying to focus here,"
She finally answered him.
"Well, I am just asking, or do you want them to talk more about us?"
"What are you talking about Mr.?"
She asked even though she already knew what he was talking about, the papers.
"Haven't you seen the photos going around? Well, I am glad to tell you that we are about to become the newest power couple,"
"In your dreams right?"
"No, not in my dreams, in the heart of those bloggers, if only they know that I have asked and I was friend-zoned,"
He replied dramatically holding his heart.
"Get over your head and just leave me alone Aron, I like working here because, well I just like it,"
"If you like it so much why don't we make an exchange? You give me Del Cole’s gallery and I will gladly turn in this nameless place,"
He said sitting on the stool next to her.
"Why doesn't it have a name though?"
She asked out of curiosity.
"Isn't it obvious? I am bad at naming things, I am envious of you, you are so good at it, first the hotel, then the gallery, the name is so nice,"
He said in an envious tune.
"But it's pretty simple, just the last part of my name with a Del, I watched a movie, I mean a drama, hotel del Luna, that's where I got the name from, it really interesting and I liked the name, not that I am good at naming things,"
She responded.
"Still, you are creative,"
"I know right, sometimes I don't believe I am the one doing these things, anyway, let me be dude, I have to finish this today so that it will dry on time and I can send it on the way,"
"Oh, who owes it?"
"It's Natalie's friend, I don't remember her name but it's a gift from Natalie to her for her birthday,"
"Wow, I would like to see how it turns out, does that mean you are spending the whole day here?"
"Yes, you have me all to yourself,"
She responded concentrating on what she was doing despite his distracting her.
"Don't say things like that, I am still trying to get over my crush on you, it's not helping,"
Aron said holding his heart, Nicole was tempted to mock him but she knew better than to do so, instead, she just smiled and went back to work, while Aron watched her silently for a while before he went into the studio.
"Wow, this turning out better than I thought it will,"
Aron said coming to stand beside her as they both examined the work she had spent a total of nine straight hours on, her back and her whole body hurt but she was satisfied with what she was seeing so that made up for it.
"Thanks, Aron, it beat my imagination too, and I am not even done yet."
She replied admiring her work, sometimes she felt it wasn't her doing this and it was someone doing it in her place, it was just so amazing what she could do with a couple of pencils and colors, she knew she was gifted and loved her gift and hope to do a lot of amazing works with it, works that will go down in history, she wasn't halfway there yet but she knew she will if she works hard enough.
"You are doing well, I have to go to the academy, I will be back in less than two hours I have a piece to submit there,"
Aron announced.
"Okay, I will be here till evening so get me food when you are coming back,"
"What do you want?"
"Huh, anything healthy,"
She said and he nodded and left, she continued working in silence...
