"Ric have you...I'm so sorry... I didn't..." Ric's aunt enters the room without knocking making us pull away from each other.
I shyly move back a bit looking at the floor as I bite my lips.
What just happened?!
"Ohh....so she's your girlfriend and ..."
"...no...she's not my girlfriend." He cuts her off.
Ouch!
His aunt looks at me and then at Ric, raising her brows before giving him the water she brought for him.
She walked out as soon as she was done leaving both Ric and I in an awkward situation.
I shouldn't be hurting right? We are not dating anymore and besides, it was just a kiss.
But I was hurt because I still had feelings for him.
"I...I will go get some..air." I stuttered.
"Liliana..." He called my name.
"Yes."
"It's past ten already, it would be nice if you slept over." He tells me and then it dawns on me that It was late.
I hurriedly search for my phone.
Twenty seven missed calls. Seventeen from Juliana and ten from Dennis.
They must have been so worried.
"I...I have to go home now." I tell Ric to get my back from the floor and hang it on my shoulder.
"I will drop you." He tells me to get up.
"No...no...you need rest and besides I'm fine."
"Not buts....I'm taking you." He replies firmly.
He walked over to where the closet was and brought out a shirt.
"Do you always stay here?" I ask him.
"I have a very complicated family life, my aunt hates my mom...do you know that? I stay here sometimes; so my aunt decided to buy clothes in case I come around." He tells me.
"Can I help...you with that?" I ask him.
He was struggling with the buttons of the shirt.
I gently walked up to him and assisted him, deep down I was nervous. It was obvious he was staring at me...I couldn't help but bite on my bottom lips.
"All..done..." I tell him.
Our eyes finally met, his blue eyes were now friendly. I could finally see emotions. I could finally read him. Hurt!
He was hurt, sad.
I couldn't help but place my hand on his cheek. I suddenly got lost in his eyes while tracing my fingers on his jaw line.
The rapid beat of my heart could be heard. I realised something that moment. What I felt for him had increased and moved up to another level.
"It's getting late...lets go." His words had brought me back to reality as a part of me felt sad that he was withdrawing whatever he felt for me.
The ride back home was silent, I've known Ric for over five months and this was the first time I felt uncomfortable by his side.
His silence was killing me, something was missing and I didn't like the way we were.
The drive made me remember what had happened the night we were coming back from the cliff.
"I knew, you weren't gonna just jump in until something made you to." He laughed and that made me mad.
"You are crazy!" I hit his chest
"I thought you hit your head on a rock!" I cried out still hitting him while he laughed.
"Jerk, stupid Ricardo, maybe you should have hit your head to have a bit sense!" I whined while still hitting him.
He grab a hold of my both small hands.
I struggled to get away from his grip trying to avoid the warmth I felt while he held my hands to continue hitting him but he held my hands firmly.
"Did I scare you?" He asked with a low voice now.
The way he said those words made my heart fluster, they were low and attractive.
Thinking of those memories made me smile, I miss the old Ric. Suddenly the car comes to a stop making me realise I was home already.
"Thanks for the ride." I tell him, removing the seat belt and leaving the car.
While walking towards my house, I was stopped when someone grabbed me by the wrist pulling me back.
I turn to realise it was Ric.
"Wh..what?" I ask him.
"Goodnight and don't forget to close your window."
"Thanks." I tell him.
He waited till I got into my house, I finally breathed.
When was it gonna be alright?!

Another school day, another activity. So far I've been conscious of my environment in case Daniel decides to pop up.
I haven't seen him around which means he was not in school since it was lunch already.
I quietly sit down on my table until Richard comes to take a seat next to me.
"Hey." He greets.
"Hi." I replied.
After some minutes Crystal joined us and we talked about some random things. Everything was going fine until Ric came.
"It seems Daniel isn't in school." Ric speaks up, getting all the attention from the people sitting down on our table.
Rich looks at himself and then at Ric and then at me.
"You are...both back together?" Rich asks.
"Like boyfriend and girlfriend?" Crystals squeal clapping her hands like a kid.
"No....she's not my girlfriend." He tells them, making my heart sink.
"How can she be his girlfriend when he is with me." Said a familiar voice which turned out to be Lydia in her glory.
With her red shining lip gloss and shade, she'd definitely steal the spotlight from anyone.
