One Month Later
Today makes it one month since my Almost attempted rape. Daniel was jailed, he was sentenced to ten years imprisonment.
For the whole one month, I stayed at month, memories of what happened one month ago still taunts me.
Ric finally came to see me after three days. I still remember our negotiation.
I was laying on my bed on my back staring at the ceiling. I just woke up from a terrible dream; the same dream that taunts me.
Suddenly my window was opened and Ric came in, dressed in a grey skinning jean and white loose button down shirt, his hair was messy.
My heart stopped for a moment and began racing fast. Slowly a smile crept on my face.
"Liliana!" His voice is so low and sweet. I gently get off my bed seeing him.
As soon as he came closer, he pulled me into a hug. I miss him so much. His scent.
"I'm so sorry." He whispered.
I took a look at his face and could see pains through his eyes. Why was he sorry?.
"It's all my fault, I dragged you into this mess."
I was baffled. How? I thought.
"You...you didn't do anything wrong?" I stuttered.
"I'm so sorry lily, I'm so sorry."
"Why are you sorry?"
"Its all because of me that Daniel attempted to rape you. He has always been jealous of me." He tells me.
"But the doctors said he has OCD, it's not your fault." I tell him.
"I'm so sorry."
After that day, he volunteered to teach me after school since I wasn't resuming soon. We got close again but we weren't dating. Most times we had intense moments but he pulled back whenever he was about to kiss.
I still wonder why? It was obvious we still had the chemistry between us.
Crystal came to visit almost everyday, telling me of her crazy fantasy. Asides having OCD ( obsessive compulsive disorder) he also had mental issues.
I knew by the way he acted, he was sure to have mental issues. He was obsessed with me!
Ric was supposed to come over by 5:00pm to tutor me but he hasn't come yet.
I decided to call his phone and after the fifth ring, he answered.
"Hey."
I expected his voice but instead it was a feminine voice that I heard.
"Liliana?" The feminine voice dragged.
The voice was familiar but I couldn't decipher.
"You are pretty stubborn right, how many times will I have to tell you to stay away from Ric?! He is my ma now." There was a hint of annoyance in her voice and I recognized the voice immediately.
It was Lydia!
I thought they weren't together or maybe they were. I ended the call, pissed off or should I say jealous of the fact that he was with her instead of being with me.
My eyes glisten with tears but I refuse to let them fall. I couldn't even last in a relationship for one month. Why am I even mad?
When I called him earlier, he said he was going to run an errand for his mom and shifted our meet to 5pm.
He could have been honest that he was going to meet his girl- friend!

"I'm so sorry I'm late, I kinda had something else to do for my mom after."
Lies!
I folded my arms around my chest, I was dumbstruck. I wanted to shout at him but I couldn't find my voice and I had no right.
It just hurts.
"Wow!" I mutter in a low voice, definitely because he just lied when he could come clean.
"And what were you helping her with?" I asked him accusingly.
"I went grocery shopping and I helped her deliver something to her friend." He spoke as if he had his lies all planned.
"I called you..." I trailed off.
"Really? When?" He asked, raising his brows.
So his girlfriend didn't tell him or she did but he is feigning ignorance.
"Lydia picked up." I finally spoke.
"Ricardo, you don't have to lie to me. You were with Lydia and I know she's our girlfriend, so why did you have to lie that it was your mom?" I asked him, my voice was low and that was due to the fact that I was jealous, hurt and pained.
"I wasn't lying." He retorts, acting perfectly well.
"So you are saying I didn't call you?" I spoke, raising my voice with annoyance.
"See for yourself!" I showed him my dialled contacts and he was shocked.
He opened his phone and saw no calls from me. Lydia obviously deleted it.
"You see." He tells me.
" So you didn't meet with Lydia today or what?" I was getting irritated by the argument already.
"We saw okay, I just booked bumped into her and that's it!"
"Finally you are admitting that you were with her!"
"I didn't say I wasn't!" He retorts.
"But you...." He cuts me off.
"What exactly is our problem with Lydia? I said we bumped into each other and that's it."
"Just admit that you are still with her that's my problem!"
"I never told you that and I never acknowledge that."
"But you were all up on her and...."
He chuckles leaving me baffled and angry.
"I was all up on her. That was then and I can't be all up on her when my heart is definitely thinking of someone else!" He yells.
My heart sank. He has someone new already.
"You have...a girlfriend?" I ask stuttering.
"You don't get Liliana?!" He Huff's frustratingly.
In less than a second, he pulled me close to him and claimed my lips.
Someone punched me! I'm dead!
"I am still head over heels for you and you look cute when you are jealous." He spoke and before I could speak, he claimed my lips again.
I kissed back devouring his lips as he did to me, tongues fighting for dominance.
It's been long since I felt this kind of feeling. He moved his hands from my face to my waist, pulling me closer. I miss this so much.
