My heart sank hearing what Ricardo just said. After our heavy make out scene, I asked him where he was going for college.
He was going to study business, that I know but I didn't know if he'd go to Mexico or stay here. The first and last time I saw his dad was when we came back from the cliff that night.
He finally opened up after so much pestering for me and that didn't make me happy.
He was going away and wasn't sure if he was going to come back.
I sighed. I was annoyed and angry he kept it all from me. Didn't he think of our relationship? Didn't he care to ask for my opinion?
"Wow..." I mutter pissed off and angry.
"It's just..." I cut him off.
"Just what?" I get up from the bed. "You knew all along but still yet, you didn't tell me! Didn't you care how I'd feel? And when did you make this decision?" I am irritated.
"I wasn't meant to come back the last time I went to Mexico. My dad won my custody. I was 17 and I couldn't decide for myself since I wasnt 18 ." He tries explaining.
He gets up walking closer to me. "He let me come back with the promise that I'd study there and take over his business. I came back because I wanted to clear things up, as much as I was hurt the time I saw you kissed Rich, I still wanted to claim you back."
My eyes glisten with tears but I was sure to prevent them from falling.
"I'm so sorry."
"Sorry won't solve anything. And our.... relationship?" I stuttered.
"We will still be together." He assures me.
"How?...you are not sure if you will come back but still want a relationship?!" I scoffed. "How sure am I that you won't find someone else? How sure are you that I won't move on from you? How sure are we that we could battle against long distance relationships?!" I asked, raising my voice a bit higher than before.
"I'm not sure if I'll be coming back, and besides my mom is here, I will surely come visit her. What I really mean is, I might be based in Mexico. Mexico might be my new home and not here anymore." He rubs his palm around my arms sending shivers down my spine.
"We will work things out and I promise you we will see during the holidays and even if we can't, I will be sure to visit you." He tells me staring deep into my eyes to let me see his sincerity.
"I swear if you replace me after making these promises, I'm going to cut off your balls and shove it down your throat." I threatened and he chuckled.
"If you cut off my balls, how am I gonna put a baby inside of you?" He smirked, raising his brows.
"I will super glue your dick back on when it's time." We both laughed at my remark.

Graduation day
The day we all wait for. The day we jubilate and celebrate ourselves. Graduating from high school is the starting of a big path, it's the beginning of life. Although we will miss our lives in high school, we were also anticipating for the future, how our lives would be like in college.
Crystal's parents finally accepted her choice in going to Yale after she got the admission to study political science. I got admission to study law at the university of New York. Richard got admission to study business at the university of Harvard.
It all worked out for us. Ric and I made sure to spend every second together. He was the best thing that happened to me since moving here.
After the graduation party, merits were given and students jubilated.

Two weeks later
I was crying as I laid on top of Ric in my room on my bed. He was leaving tomorrow and this was our last moment before God knows when.
"Stop crying already, you are making me feel bad." He wipes away my tears with his thumbs.
"I love you more than you do that's why I'm more affected." I whine like a child playfully hitting his chest.
He grabbed a hold of my both hands, his eye colour suddenly changed and became darker.
"Really?" His voice low in a whisper sending shivers down my spine.
"Y..yes.." I stuttered. My heart beating faster than usual, I suddenly feel goosebumps on my skin.
"Why tell you how much I love you when I can show you how much I love you." He spoke leaving me confused and before I could comprehend, he claimed my lips in a demanding way.
The kiss was slow and sweet, passing different emotions through me. I knew where this was going and I don't think I can stop it anymore.

Here I was with Ric, his mom and older sister Mariana, we were at the airport seeing him off.
I refused to let go of him as I sniffled my tears.
"If you keep doing this, I will just have to stay." He tells me.
"Then stay." I tell him, smiling sheepishly.
He chuckles. " come on Lily, I love you." He tells me.
"I love you too."
And that was how he left. He didn't come back for the first year but made sure to wish me a happy birthday, a happy Valentine's day, merry Christmas and also a happy new year.
But he threw me a surprise happy 20th birthday. I was shocked when I saw him. He has changed so much. His face was more sculpted. His muscles were huge. It seems he grew taller too. I had to stretch even with my heels to hug him. His shoulder was broader and his lips.....so much has changed and I didn't see much of him even when we talked on facetime.
He engaged me on my 20th birthday and I prayed that day never ended.
