He wants me! The words were magical and my heart beat increased as if it was in a racing competition. I shiver as the chilly wind grazes pass me.
Speechless! Lost in words and thought, he repeated again.
"I like you Liliana, it was at first sight," the next movement he took caught me off guard completely as he smatched his lips on mine, kissing me ferociously.
I miss his scent and lips, the taste of honey and strawberry. I kissed back with the same passion, the feelings I was having were undescribable and undeniable. It was like the kissing wasn't enough and we needed more.
He pushes me to rest on the wall as he pulls me closer than before kissing me like his life depended on it. The best kiss ever! The best feeling ever!
We pull apart to catch our breath.
"Happy new year Lily," he tells me and before I could speak, we turned to see we were being watched.
Richard stood in awe of what he was seeing, he had an unreadable expression on and his fist were clenched. I try to keep my breath at even, suddenly feeling guilty.
I was speechless, I couldn't look at Richard at the moment nor could I look at Ric. When I finally looked at Rich, he shook his head and walked away. I, in haste, followed him.
It was time I chose what I wanted and I needed to come clean to Richard. I needed to let him know I liked Ric and I wanted to be with him.
"Richard!" I called his name but he kept walking fast. Why was he mad? He had no right!
I facepalm myself as I run after him. I finally caught onto him as I held him back.
"You have to listen to me!" I yell. He was mad when he knew he had no right! I got myself into this complicated mess now I'm regretting it.
"How could you?!" He finally speaks after some minutes of silence.
"How could i? You know the thing going on between us is fake,``I said, emphasizing my every word.
He scoffed, "fake! Fake to you Liliana!" He retorts, making me confused.
"You know that...you know what, let's just end all this!" He tells me, making me confused by his outburst.
"I regret helping you and It sucks that you are..." He cuts me off.
"When did you and Ric start all this?" He questions with a blank expression.
"What part?" I want to be sure.
"The kissing and stuff," he tells me.
"We've been...we had our first kiss the night i went to a party for the second time." I whisper.
"Wow!" He speaks. "So you guys have been kissing before you said yes to me?" He questions.
"Yes," I whispered.
"You could have told me, no wonder he was mad and distant, what kind of friend does that make me, fake dating my best friend girl when he had an interest and the girl does too." He facepalm himself.
"I'm not mad at you Liliana, trust me. But I'm mad because none of you seem to let me know what was going on!" He exclaims.
"I'm sorry!" I tell him.
"Why didn't you tell me?" He questions raising his brows, I could see the hurt in his eyes but they were masked immediately making it hard to decipher if I saw wrong or right.
"We didn't know where we stood, believe me when I tell you he was confused and so was I," I told him.
"So are two couples now?" He ask.
"I shrug," i don't even know, he just confessed and we haven't talked about where we stood.
He smiles, "Don't break his heart Liliana, trying to go on this journey with you, he must have taken a lot of courage and risk," he tells me.
"You should tell him that since it's hard for the both of you to keep your dick in your pants,'' I mocked chuckling.
"Trust me when I tell you, there are many stories you don't know about Ric, he likes you more than your imagination."
"I'm telling you because I suspected but he never opened up, he face lights up when we talk about you, he is always protective that he told Tyler to back off and not treat you like the other girls," he sighs, "i didn't know he had more going on, but i guess my hunch was right."
Ric defended me, talked about me!
Wow, what other things did he do behind my back.
"My friend Ricardo is one lucky guy, happy new year," he tells me walking closer to me.
"I think i deserve this even if it's once in my life," he pecks my cheek and before I could tell what was going on, he pecked my lips catching me off guard.
I stood in shock as I watched his retreating steps. Something tells me there is more to his reaction, it felt like it was the last goodbye. Something was wrong and I couldn't comprehend, his words and actions showed otherwise.
I felt bad, like I was doing something bad. Was it what I was suspecting? Does Rich have a crush on me?
