My eyes slowly opened and looked up at the ceiling of the room I was in, I slowly closed my eyes and then looked around me, still in the same room, then I saw the face of someone I’ve been missing lately, he smiled fondly at me his gaze implied concern. I smiled weakly at him he kissed my forehead a little longer.
“You look a mess, honey,” I said to the man I love so much, my hands raised to caress his face, his jaw lined with fine hair that looked a little bushy, as if he hadn’t shaved.
“I can’t do anything but wait for you, I’ll call the doctor.”
Sean then pressed the button attached to the wall above my head, I felt very thirsty and my body felt weak, I asked Sean for help to give me water to drink he then helped me to sit and leaned on the pillow.
“Where’s mom?” I looked around me, it was just the two of us.
“He’s home, you’ve been unconscious for 24 hours,” he told me which shocked me, oh my God, what happened to me?? He sighed then looked at Sean who was also looking at me.
“Come here, I miss you,” I begged then motioned him to sit with me on the bed. Sean with a small smile on his face complied with my wishes, as he sat next to me on the bed, his arms wrapped around me I leaned against his chest, I inhaled my favorite scent that I missed so much.
“I want to go home,” I said voicing my deepest desire, being here is so stressful for me, Sean kissed the top of my head and inhaled the scent of my hair.
“Mom will take you to Dubai during your recuperation stage.”
“I wouldn’t go there if you weren’t with me,” I said quickly, he took a deep breath.
“Maybe we should-“
“Not!!” I said angrily, this can’t be happening, I won’t let him not be with me for a second. I looked up at him, his golden netra glowed with love, we just stared at each other in silence then his lips fell on mine, I miss this too. My desire that seemed to have slept for decades revived, my lower abdominal muscles tightening. Doctor Selvig came in with a female nurse, and the handsome doctor man smiled kindly at both of us, he is very handsome like Chris Evans or he is the actor’s twin(?) I don’t know. He greeted me then checked my condition carefully, after that he looked at me with a look that I didn’t understand and my instincts told me that something was wrong.
“What is wrong??” I asked curiously, I looked at Doctor Selvig with a waiting look, he took a deep breath and sat on the side of my bed.
“You are traumatized by the impact and require special treatment at the recommended hospital, you will be transferred to a hospital in Dubai for therapy.”
I was surprised to hear that, how bad is it?? I seemed to lose my voice, then I remembered what my mother-in-law said, if I go to Dubai Sean is not with me.
“I don’t want to go to Dubai,” I said, I saw Sean sigh in misfortune and look at me with a look trying to make me understand.
“Honey, I want you to get well soon you will be safer there, there is mom, Rani and also dad.”
“But you weren’t there.” I’m getting annoyed, why does Sean want me away from him??
“Tomorrow afternoon you can be discharged from the hospital, and your status will be transferred to the hospital that has been determined,” said doctor Selvig then said goodbye to leave the two of us. I turned my face towards the window on my right, it was getting dark outside. What is this?? Why should Sean and I be separated? What have I missed??
“I know you have a hard time accepting this and so do I.” Sean sat where Doctor Selvig sat a moment ago, his hand gripping my finger and his thumb stroking the surface.
“But we all know you need this medication,” he continued which made me think even more but I just felt uneasy like something was going on but I wasn’t told. I turned my face to look at Sean, I knew he wasn’t good at lying.
“Tell me what really happened.”
We were silent for a while looking at each other, I could tell he was trying to hide something from me.
“It’s better if you don’t know,” he said breaking the silence between us, then he looked down at his hands holding mine, I chuckled, I’m going crazy because of this.
“Am I the only one who wasn’t told about this??”
Sean nodded, I grew annoyed, I freed my hand from his grip, I felt like a stranger, I swallowed the feeling of disappointment and nodded.
“Okay, if that makes you any better I’m going to Dubai and try not to want to know whatever you all are hiding from me, do what you and the others want to do.” I looked at my fingers that were intertwined with each other, it hurt to be treated like this. What did I do wrong that I don’t have the right to know?? Moreover Sean wanted him, he wanted me away from him, did he and Atika-, oh, shit! I burst out crying without being able to stop it.
“Hey, baby, it’s okay, baby, it won’t be long we just-“
I turned to look at him filled with tears on my face Sean shortened the distance between us, he put his hands on the sides of my head then his thumbs wiped my tears, he kissed my forehead. The pain when he saw Atika kissed again, when he didn’t tell me the truth.
“I promise to visit you often, honey.”
I shook my head, that’s not the case, with a little effort I stopped crying.
“You will go with Atika and forget about me,” I said, I looked at Sean with tears that clouded my vision, I blinked to get rid of the tears. The next second I was in his arms, I inhaled his scent which smelled of his refreshing bath soap.
