Ariana looked at Sean who was currently calling someone from behind the slightly open library door, the time was one in the morning. The day after they returned to the apartment after staying at Ariana’s old house, Sean got a call from someone every one in the morning, and that made Ariana curious. Ariana pushed the door open slightly when Sean had finished the call.
“I’ll meet you tomorrow where are you?? What?? New York??! ... Well give me the address where we meet ... Yes, bye.”
“Everything is alright??”
Ariana tried not to show that she had overheard all of Sean’s conversations with the mysterious caller. Sean nodded, but Ariana knew the man was hiding something.
“I thought you were asleep.” Sean frowned, Ariana shrugged and put on a pleading expression.
“You know it’s hard for me to sleep without you,” said Ariana to which Sean responded with a smile, then the man approached his wife and kissed the top of her head.
“Let’s go back to our room.”
Sean also embraced Ariana when they both returned to their room.

Ariana POV
It’s been raining in New York City since this morning and it just stopped at noon to late afternoon, I watched people passing by and looking busy from behind my hotel room window. I’m currently staying at the same hotel as Sean so that I can monitor him freely, even though my current cellphone can track his cellphone as long as I’m in the same area with him, but I want to know in detail. Ronald offered me to stay at his apartment, but I refused for this reason, no one knows if I’m here other than Ronald. I’m allowed to go to school with the reason I gave Sean, I also didn’t tell Caroline, this plan is only known to Ronald and I believe that man won’t open his mouth even to Caroline, that’s what’s special about Ronald Cortez, he’s a loyal man when you ask for it to keep a secret.
Before going to this busy city, I changed my cellphone with the same cellphone as my old cellphone, while I left my original cellphone in Singapore, I asked Ronald so I could track Sean’s cellphone. In such a case, Ronald could be very reliable, Cortez’s uncle was the owner of one of the advanced telecommunications companies so Ronald knew about it. I was lucky because I could also see the messages that came into Sean’s cell phone. My cell phone chimed signaling an incoming message, when I saw it, it was a message from the mysterious caller Sean who gave an address to meet, yeah! This is the time.
I immediately got dressed, a Navy blue long sleeve knit shirt combined with white jeans, I put on my long black coat, after that I put on high boots that covered my ankles in the same color as my coat. I curl my hair up to the top of my head and let the shorter rest fall down the side of my face, putting on the gucci design sunglasses I’d just bought before leaving here. I looked at my cell phone which was showing GPS with a red dot, Sean had left the hotel, I rushed out of the hotel, stopped a taxi and mentioned Times Square as my destination, I saw on my phone screen Sean stopped at one of the cafes in a famous area in New York. I stopped a few steps behind the black sedan Sean was riding in, the man got out of the car with Sam opening the door for him and entered the cafe. I immediately got out of the taxi I was riding in after paying, the sky was still cloudy, and the cold wind hit my skin, I walked down the sidewalk to the cafe where Sean entered.
I sat at one of the tables outside the cafe near the glass wall, so I could freely monitor it. Unlucky! It was Atika who was sitting with Sean in there, the woman’s stomach seemed to bulge, my heart cracked seeing the two of them. A waiter came up to me and asked if I would order something, he then handed me the menu book, I ordered hot tea and chocolate lava cake. I swallowed my disappointment that felt like swallowing thorns, what about that woman?? What about Sean?? Tears pierced the back of my eyes. Atika seemed to be holding Sean’s hand who was currently sitting in front of him, but Sean pulled his hand I don’t know what they were talking about but Sean seemed angry, seen from him leaning towards the woman and pointing his index finger at the woman, Atika seemed to cry, they engage in serious and emotional conversations. My order came, I thanked the brown-haired female waitress who was tied in a ponytail and paid my order to her, I turned my gaze back to Sean and Atika, I really wanted to know what they were talking about, a few minutes later Sean got up and left Atika his expression showed very clear anger, the woman chased after him and stopped in front of the cafe, not far from where I was currently sitting, then they stood face to face.
Atika touched Sean’s face with the tips of her fingers, my chest tightened because of the pain that slowly spread to fill me, the next second Atika kissed Sean on the lips, I covered my mouth with both my hands in surprise tears immediately rolled down my cheeks behind the sunglasses I was wearing. Damn Sean! Why didn’t he refuse?? My cracked heart slowly shattered, I suddenly stood up from my seat, Sean just stood still after Atika kissed him, I was also glued to my place, I don’t know what made Sean turn to me, he looked surprised to see me, so did Atika, my senses immediately sounded the alarm so that I immediately realized and left that place, the next second I immediately turned around and left.
