Naomi suddenly had the courage to face him. She could shove the blame to Kate instead.
" Yes, and they were close" Alvin looked in Quinn's direction then at her.
" What do you mean close? That's impossible"
" She's looking for a way to justify her actions. Naomi, Quinn is hospitalized because of your stupidity. Have you no shame? Are you that desperate to get in his bed? I see what it is. You're scared Kate might recognize him or Quinn might come to love her more. See Alvin she's bad news to Quinn"
" You put my son in danger because of jealousy? Alvin asked glaring at her.
Naomi has never seen him that upset.
" Do you know what you've done? Get out of here. You're banned from my house. Stay away from my son. Bitch" Naomi's lips quivered as she sought to explain.
" I told him the truth. You said he was your adopted son"
" What makes you think it's your right to tell him? Who do you think you are to him? It finally dawned on her that she was nothing to him but a nanny yet she loved him she didn't expect such a reaction from him.
" I'm sorry Alvin. I know my place now"
" I don't care. You're lucky nothing happened to him. I would have your head on a platter. Get out" he yelled pointing to the exit.
" You know how much I love that boy. It was a mistake. I didn't want him to think Kate was his mother or something. I did it for you" Alvin squinted his eyes stunned.
What was she talking about?
He has always thought she came into their lives because Kate hurt him perhaps he thought she was making amends for her friend.
It turned out she was doing it to get on his good side. She was into gold-digging.
" Are you deaf? Your miserable life can't atone for his. Get lost bitch " Naomi sniffled glaring at Cynthia who was rejoicing over her dismissal.
Now Alvin was solemnly hers.
" I'm sorry Alvin. Kiss him good night for me" she muttered then turned back to stare at them thinking he might change his mind but he didn't.
Cynthia waved her off then faced Alvin who seemed to be in deep thought.
" What's on your mind?
" How did Quinn know Kate? Surely, Colt would have told me about it"
" Perhaps he didn't know. Carla Lorenzo's daughter attends the same school. The one in the middle. You know they share the same restaurant. They're playmates. What are you going to do now?
" Convince my son that I'm his father of course. I can't interfere with their relationship. I owe him that. Let him get to know her. He might get her mind off things. She has to" Cynthia hummed softly wondering what she missed.
When did Alvin switch sides?
Didn't he hate her before? What changed?
" Okay. Guess what?
Alvin raised his brows" I don't have time for guessing games" he said blatantly trailing to Quinn's ward.
" David Wilson is having his first crisis since he pulled you out of business" Alvin shrugged without uttering a word then pushed the door open.
" There's my boy. You scared me" he stated with his hand on his thus he sat him up but Quinn wasn't happy to see him as usual.
Alvin sighed in understanding then pecked him on the forehead cupping his cheeks.
" Don't believe a thing Naomi tells you. I'm your biological father. I didn't adopt you. Look at this" he called his attention to his lips, toes, and fingers.
" You got those from me" Quinn watched him demonstrate but looked away.
" Prove it, Dad. Who is my mother? What's her name? Why did she leave? She seemed nice" Alvin narrowed his eyes scrutinizing him then ruffled his hair proudly.
" Let's talk when we get home okay? Aren't you hungry? Quinn's eyes darkened.
" I'm not hungry. Was I adopted or not? If I wasn't where's my Mom? He yelled as Alvin scrunched his face in disdain.
Quinn's respect and love for him were boundless.
He tried to calm him down by pulling him into a hug.
" You're my son Quinn. Do you doubt me? Quinn's eyes fell in the realization that his dad was an honest man.
At least that's how he saw him.
" Then what happened between you and mom? Where's she? Cynthia had seen enough of the drama thus decided to answer his question.
" She left your dad for another man. She's a whore. A good for nothing whore. She wanted to abort you thank God your father was there to save you. I assume she thinks she was successful. It's you and your dad forever. Don't forget. That bitch doesn't deserve you" Alvin watched Quinn's face turn livid and pale.
" It's enough Cynthia. He's just a little boy"
" You know he's not. He has a high IQ just like you. I know he understands me very well. Your dad and mom were married once but she left despite his pleas. Do you want such a woman as your mother? Quinn yelled at her having had enough of her insolence.
" I don't want you as my mother either. I want to be alone. Get out. Leave. Dad and I don't need you" Cynthia frowned seeking Alvin's eyes for protection but he said nothing but hold on to his son wondering how he will redeem himself.
How will he feel when he finds out about Kate?

Will he forgive him? These questions baffled him as he held him tightly.
Cynthia hissed walking out according to his demands.
She knew Alvin wouldn't dare reprimand her in front of Quinn knowing what's at stake.
That's the advantage she had over Naomi.
She smiled recalling the tactics she used in getting rid of her. finally, she was out of the way.
