Cindy walked into the bus as she heads over to the bus she had once got to with Jeffery, Suzy who saw her leaving tailed her with her car.
Cindy stood close to the beach watching the wave with sadness, her heart was filled with emotions and her eyes were all dried up from crying, it all seems like she can no longer cry.
She watched the sea, this was the place Jeffery had made promises to love her more than he loved his father, he had said he will never leave her no matter what happens, but he had suddenly changed, after a night.
She rubs her hands on her face, her eyes sting and her heart was heavy, she had thought everything she could and had arrived at an answer, Jeffery was hiding something from her, there must be something that made him change.
She took out her phone and sent a text to him, tell him that she was at the beach and would not leave until he comes, that she was waiting for him.
She folds her hands across her chest and stares into the water with distant eyes, she had made up her mind to get the truth out of him, she only hopes he shows up.
The air was light and they blew her hair backwards, the sun was already setting and the weather was a bit cold but she had chosen this place because this was where he had made his promise to her, she wants to stand at this point and remind him of it.
She heard tires screeched and she turns her head to see a car speeding over to her and by the look of things the driver was not going to stop.
She was about to duck but it was too late as her eyes dilated.

Cindy rolled on the floor choking in her blood as she looked at the car that had just hit her, it was black and just in a twinkle of an eye the driver rode off and then she realizes she was going to die and no one would know since she was the only one her in this beach.
Tears rolled down her cheek, her body hurts and her head buzzed, the last thing she saw before she closed her eyes was the sunset.
Cindy was wheeled to the hospital with Jeffery close and in tears as he kept calling out her name, but it was all in vain since she was not responding, she was moved in for surgery while Jeffery was asked to wait outside.
He looked at the door of the operating room and then at his hands that were covered with blood as he spaced around and glance at the door at each time, praying in his head and crying.
“Where is Cindy?” Marcus asked as he hurried over to Jeffery with Lousia close to him. “What happened to her?” Marcus asked again in a hurry.
Jeffery looked down at his hands and then his lips quiver as he remembers seeing Cindy in a pool of blood when he arrived at the beach. “I don’t know, it seems she was hit by a car.”
“A hit and run?” Louisa's eyes flared.
“It seems so, the driver was not there and there were traces of car tires.” Jeffery looked at his mother with wide eyes, she was also close to tears. “Cindy is undergoing surgery at the moment.” He looked at the operating down.
A doctor walked out of the OPR and they all rushed over to him with curious eyes. “How is Cindy?” Jeffery asked at the same time as Marcus.
“She is stable but she had lost a lot of blood and needs a blood transfusion immediately.” The doctor told them.
“Use mine,” Lousia said in a rush and they all looked at her. “I am her mother and my blood type matches hers, Cindy’s blood type is A+ and I am A too.” She pointed at herself and then look at Marcus.
“What are you saying?” Jeffery asked his mother, surprised at her sudden outburst.
“Let’s carry out the test immediately then, follow me.” The doctor said and left with Lousia, they took her blood sample to run for the test while she came back to where Jeffery and Marcus were.
Jeffery just stared at his mother in confusion, he was still surprised at what she had said, he knew she was about to be Cindy’s stepmother, but how can she already call herself her mother and also know Cindy’s blood type so well, even when they had only met once.
The doctor came over with the result as Jeffery looked at him curious of what his answer would be, if it matches then what his mother had just say now was true, but deep down he was in doubt.
“The blood matches, we have to do the transplant now.” He said and Lousia nods and the doctor left.
Lousia was about to follow but Jeffery grabbed her wrist and looked at his mother. “Her mother… How can that be?” He looked at his mother with a pained look when she did not answer or say anything. “How would you be her mother… her real mother?” Tears rolled down his cheeks.
Tears filled Lousia’s eyes, this was not the way she wanted to tell Jeffery about it, this was not the way she had planned to let him know the truth, now his expression was like that of a broken man.
“I will explain it better to you later,” Louisa said as pulled took her hands away from his and followed the doctor. Right now what should be the priority was saving Cindy’s life. “Jeffery…” Marcus called out but Jeffery gave him a hard glare.
“You are also included.” Right now his head was in a mess, this means his mother had an affair with this man and gave birth to Cindy and all this while they have been making a fool out of them with marriage and love.
“This is unbelievable!” Jeffery shouted and stormed off.
Suzy arrived home with trembling hands as she sat down on her bed soliloquizing to herself. “Did I kill her?” Her lips quiver and fear filled her eyes.
She got up from the bed and space around the room. “Did I kill Cindy? Should I go back?” She stutters, walking back and forth. “What do I do?” She held her trembling hands. “What have I done?”
