I went to talk to Alex but when I heard what Richard did to her. I have no strength to even say a word. when Alex saw me, I just closed the door and went inside my room. my whole sanity is burning thinking about my past.
I started throwing everything here and there because of anger. I picked up the vase to throw it in the mirror. That's when I felt two hands encircled on my waist. I didn't even have to turn because I recognized whose hands it was.
I know his touch.. the way he holds me with his right, love and care... no one holds me like that and because of mate bound whenever he touches me I feel like a spark runs through my whole body.
He took a vase from my hand and put it on the bed and then again hugged me. I look in the mirror. Showing my armour protecting me from every pain and devil's eyes.
I closed my eyes and a tear rolled down my eyes. He turned me towards him and hugged me.
"Irene... What happened? Did someone say something to you? Did anything happen that reminds you about" he clamped up. He knows how my painful past affects me badly.
"it's ok..calm down" he mumbled. I broke the hug and looked at him.
"Richard kidnapped me. He tortured me because he knew that I'm the easy target and weakness of my brother. even he was about to rape me but you saved me on time"
"Why are you saying all this? Did someone say anything to you?" he asked, getting anxious.
"I'm so selfish, Stefan... I'm selfish" I mumbled. He broke the hug and wiped my tears.
"what happened?"
"Sana" I started crying while holding his shirt.
"That day we heard her screams. we heard her pleas.. we heard that she was begging Richard to leave her. you even wanted to help her but I stopped you. That day Richard didn't rape me because he was busy with Sana. That bastard raped her that day."
I could see that he was shocked just like me.
"why I stopped you, Stefan... If I didn't then she wouldn't have to face all that"
"It was not your fault Irene.. it has to happen... moreover you were afraid and your condition is also not good that's why you didn't let me leave you alone and if I did that then maybe we both would have died"
"but Sana"
"I know she faced a lot but now your brother is there for her. He will heal her" Stefan mumbled.
I just keep looking at him. He knows how to make me feel better, how to handle me.. he cares for me and I know he loves me but I don't love him and this fact hurts me the most.
"You should talk to Alex and Sana... you will feel better" Stefan suggested breaking the hug. I nodded and he held my hand and took me to the hall. He made me sit on the sofa.
"When Alex comes outside, you talk to him... ok?"
"How do you know me so well Stefan? you know that I'm feeling guilty and it won't go until I say sorry to Alex and Sana... How do you know me so well?" I asked looking at the man whom I hate the most but at the same time, he was the reason behind all my happiness.
"Because you're my mate and my love Irene" he mumbled. I started looking everywhere but him. I always feel butterflies in my stomach whenever he confesses his feelings for me but at the same time, I feel guilty because I love someone else.
"You didn't reply," he mumbled. I glared at him.
"Well, you don't need to... I know you love me." he said. I rolled my eyes.
"I don't love you... I love" before I could complete, he perked on my lips.
"don't you dare." he growled and the colour of his eyes changed, indicating his wolf on the surface.
"don't you dare to take his name in front of us.. you belong to us Irene and keep this thing in your mind" he growled.
"I'm not a thing that belongs to someone and that's the thing neither you nor Stefan understand. you both always tried to cage me in your arms."
Soon his colour eyes change to normal one. Tears rolled down from my eyes.
"what you did for me Stefan, I would have fall for you but what you did to me in the past 1 month... I can't forget nor can I forgive you. All I can say is that I am not the bird that you can catch in a cage of gold." I said. He didn't reply anything just keep looking at me. my eyes went on Alex who was looking at my side. I wiped my tears and went towards him.
"Brother... I want to talk to you about something very important." I mumbled taking his hand in mine but he shoved his hand away.
"Please Irene right now Sana's condition is not good and I'm in no mood to hear how much you hate her because she is Richard's wife" he said and went towards the kitchen. again tears brimmed in my eyes.
My eyes went on Stefan who was looking at Alex's side angrily. I immediately wiped my tears knowing how much it affects him.
I again sat in the hall thinking how to talk with Sana. I don't have courage to face her.
"Go and talk to Sana," Stefan said. I look towards him.
"I can't... I can't face her"
"You can and you will.. go" he ordered. I glare at him... he never stops ordering me. I stood up from the sofa and went towards Sana's room.
She was inside the washroom. I sat on the bed waiting for her. That's when Alex entered the room. He looked at me angrily and put the plate on the table. He held my hand to push me out of the room. when Stefan holds his hand.
"I didn't say anything before because I can understand when things come to the Mate we don't think about anyone else. But at least listen to what she wants to say to you, Alex. She's your sister" Stefan grunt.
Alex looked at me and then wiped my tears. That's when we heard the sound of the knob of the washroom. Sana came out, looked at me and then Alex. Her eyes went on Alex's hand and the way he was holding me.
"What's going over here?" she asked.
"Irene wants to talk to you and Alex doesn't want her to come near you as he is afraid that his sister, Irene will harm his brother Mate," Stefan scoffed looking at Alex.
No.. no this is not going well... I know Stefan's anger is not good and Alex is not a saint.
"I don't want to talk to anyone... Stefan let's go" I mumbled holding his hand but he didn't stop glaring at Alex. Sana comes towards me and holds my hand.
"Say what you want to? I don't like when someone hides anything from me" she said while looking at Alex.
"Why are you looking at my brother like that? He didn't do anything. why do you always talk to him rudely" I grunt. She looked at me and then smiled.
"You love your brother a lot." I didn't reply to her. She turned her face to Alex.
"let's talk alone" Sana said and before Alex could say something she beat him "you should trust your sister." Alex didn't say anything after that.
"Now get out," she ordered Alex. I look at her widening at my eyes and then at my brother whose expression is worth watching.
"someone says right, even a lion could not utter anything in front of his lioness" he mumbled and left the room. Stefan followed him. I wanted to laugh at him but controlled myself and looked at Sana. one thing I came to know today is that she's a ray of shine in my brother's life.
"she's going to fill his life with love and happiness"
