Zayden’s POV

I was on the way to the place where Theo had said that I could find Wyatt and his minions. I rubbed my hand in frustration because I couldn’t turn into a wolf and ran to that place as soon as possible. After all, that place was in the human world. That’s when I saw her, standing at the side of the road. Before I could have asked Eric to stop the car or stepped out of the car to confirm whether ‘it was really her?’, my car moved far away from the place where she was standing.
After a minute, I again saw her standing at the side of the road and smiling at me.
‘It means she is really here.’, I thought and narrowed my eyes wondering what she was doing here? “Eric, stop the car.”
“What? What happened, Alpha?”
“Do what I say, Eric.”, I said in a bored tone and he quickly stopped the car just in front of her. I hopped out of the car and walked toward her, knowing that she must have something important to share. After all, she had the power to see a glimpse of the future.
“What are you doing here?”
“And there I thought you would greet me. After all, we are meeting each other after decades.”
“Why are you here, Jane?”
“Still the same old rude and arrogant Prince Dominic, huhh?”, She chuckled. “Nothing has changed except your long hair and dressing sense.”, She added with a big smile but when she observed that I was not laughing at her stupid jokes, she stopped. “Okay! Okay! Coming straight to the point. Grace is going to be kidnapped.”
“That’s impossible. She is at home. SAFE and SOUND.”
“She is not at home and she will soon not be safe and sound if you are going to argue with me on this topic.”, She said in one tone and I could tell that she was not lying.
“Why should I trust you? You hate me and you are not very fond of Jennifer as well.”
“That’s true that I hate you but that doesn’t mean I was Jennifer to die again. Though I am trying my best that she won’t get affected by your curse. And about your question, if you don’t trust me then why don’t you ask your guards which are at your home?”
I reluctantly mink linked Grace but wasn’t able to connect with her, then Theo but again the same thing happened. After that, I mink linked Derek and thankfully he answered me. I was shocked to learn that Grace went out of the house with Theo. And no one knew a thing where they had gone. I tried to call Grace but her number was ‘out of network coverage.
I looked at Jane and looking at my expression she knew what I was going to ask.
“I don’t know where she is, right now! But yes, I know that her car will be crossing the XYZ building at 1: 17 PM.”, Saying this, she checked her surroundings and ran away from there like a wind.
“Eric…”, I called his name and before completing my sentence, he had an idea of what I was going to say.
“But Zayden...I can’t leave you alone.”, he tried to reason out.
“She is my life, Eric. If anything happens to her then I will die. So, you have to keep your Luna safe at any cost.”
“Okay, Alpha.”, he bowed his head before leaving from there.

Finally, I reached that place where I had the chance of finding Wyatt. I smelt the smell of other people as well.
The woman, Sarah, was also here.
Not to forget, Even Paul was here.
But why?
‘Let’s get out of this place.’, Dominic warned.
‘No way! I am not going to leave this chance and miss my prey.’
‘Something is not right, Zayden!’
‘And what is that?’, I asked him rudely. He wouldn’t understand my feelings because this revenge didn’t belong to his previous life. He didn’t reply to me for a while.
“I should have sensed you coming. After all, you stink so bad.”, Was the sudden greeting before walking toward me. “But do you know what brother? There is a difference of a thin line between bravery and foolishness and guess what? You opted for the second one.”
“Really? With those stupid minions? I challenged him and walked onto the nearest couch and sat on it with a calm attitude, I had to make smart moves.
“What do you mean?”
“Sarah and Paul? Seriously brother?”, I stated, boldly and waited for his reaction which shockingly didn’t show.
“You missed the third person, Brother.”
He said what?
“What do you mean, Wyatt?”, I frowned when I heard him but what did he mean?
“Earlier I wanted to kill you brother. But, now I have some other plans.”, He smirked. “Freya…”, He said before I felt something appear behind me and before I could react, the witch had already used her power to defeat me until I fell into darkness.
“Theo did a good job by sending you here and soon your mate will be joining us.”, I heard Wyatt saying.
This was a trap!
He knew I would come.
Theo!
Theo was a decoy.
Grace is in danger then.
Grace…
‘Grace…..Dan..ger’, Dominic sent the last message to her before I felt myself lose consciousness with my brother and the witch as my last sight before I closed my eyes.
I hope Eric reached near Grace at the time and Grace could hear my message in time.
Stupid!
How come I am so stupid falling from this stupid trap even though Dominic had warned me!

Grace opened her eyes and rubbed them with her palm. She felt the soft mattress below her and she wondered how she reached her bed! She took a seating position and turned her head toward the right to see the clock. But it wasn’t there.
Everything became clear to her in seconds when she realized that it wasn’t her room.
