Third Person’s POV

One month later…
The sound of the shower woke Grace from her deep sleep. She stirred and opened her eyes and looked at her right. Zayden wasn’t there, which meant he was awake. And, she was glad that he went to take shower, leaving her alone in her naked state.
One month had passed. Yet, she was shy about waking naked with him every morning. It was their routine to make love every alternative day and sleep naked every night. For her, the most difficult part was to wake up and see him looking at her intently. And, she would try to hide deeper under the blanket to hide herself. At night, she had no problem, as it would be dark and both would feel the same amount of lust running in their veins. But in the morning light, she felt uncomfortable being naked with him.
So, she immediately decided to wake up and go to her room to get fresh. She remembered him telling her that today he had to visit a site with Eric because as per his source, Wyatt was staying there with his minions.
Her plan of getting up before he comes out of the shower flopped as he came out with a towel hanging on his waist and another on his head with which he was wiping his wet hair. His eyes zeroed at her position and he smiled in her direction.
“Good Morning, sweetheart!”, He said with a smile and she returned it.
He ran his eyes all over her and disliked it when he saw her hiding under the sheet. But, he didn’t complain today. He had very important work and he wouldn’t waste time in putting an argument on it. So, he just came toward her and kissed her on the forehead.
“You never listen to me.”, he simply said and she knew what he was referring to. But she just didn’t have the guts to stay naked for his eyes.

During breakfast, Zayden informed her that he would come late as he had to finish his business with Wyatt by the end of the day, anyhow. So, Grace nodded and kissed him so that he would finally go. When Zayden went away, she decided to clean the kitchen. And so that’s what she did. She went to the kitchen and finished all the pending work. Then she went to the garden to water the plants. Suddenly, a weird odor hit her nose and she felt like vomiting. So, she ran towards the bathroom on the ground floor and tried to normalize her mood. But, it became much worse and almost instantly all her stomach came out.
Though Grace hadn’t any periods. Her date was in the next two days but she remembered Allison sharing that the process of pregnancy in werewolves was faster than the human. That’s why she needed to be sure. Instinctively, she brought her hand towards her stomach.
Could this be true?
Her suspicion of carrying Zayden’s child inside her?
A smile crept on her lips just by the thought.
But, she immediately wiped it away. She decided to take the test before she told him anything. What if it was all her assumption?
She quickly went to her room to change her clothes. She had to visit a doctor no...a werewolf, who is a doctor for consulting about her case. When she got out of the house, she called out for the first guard whom she saw. She wasn’t stupid to go out of the house alone. She knew her mate would be very angry if she left the house alone.
“Theo?”, She called for the guard on duty.
Theo ran towards Grace as soon as she called him.
“Yes, Luna.?”
“Can...Can you please take me to the doctor who treats werewolves?”
“Are you alright, Luna?”, He asked, getting worried for her.
“Oh! I am perfectly fine. It’s just...I want to visit there for regular check up.”, She said hesitantly.
“Um...okay Luna. Let me inform Alpha about it.”, He said and was about to mind link Zayden when Grace interrupted.
“No..No! Please dont inform him. He will freak out and will try to come back. And I don’t want that. He has some important work and I don’t want to come in between it.”, She said.
“But...it’s nor right to go anywhere without letting Alpha know about it.”
“It’s just a regular health check up. It will hardly take a few hours. Plus, you are with me. Zayden trusts you.”
Theo’s face snapped at her words.
‘Alpha trusts me?’, He wondered in shock. The words hurt him. His Alpha trusted him and he was the one who was betraying him! But what option did he have!
“Fine, Luna. As you say. I will inform the other guards. Please sit in the front most car.”, he directed her car. Grace smiled gratefully and walked towards the car.

After an hour of driving, they reached the hospital which was in the pack near to her home. Grace made an appointment to meet the doctor. Her turn came after fifteen minutes.
“Good Afternoon, Luna Grace.”, The doctor greeted Grace as she entered the cabin. Grace was thankful that the doctor was a lady and that to a cheerful one.
“Good Afternoon, doctor.”, She replied and took the seat in front of her.
“So, what brought you here? In another pack, Luna Grace?”
“I think I am pregnant. But I am not sure.”, Grace said truthfully.
The doctor nodded her head. “Then let's clear your doubts about it after running a few tests.”

After half an hour,
“Congratulations, Luna Grace! You’re pregnant!”, The moment Grace heard this news, she couldn’t help but smile widely. She was indeed carrying his child. She wondered what his reaction would be once he found out that he was going to be a father soon.
“Thank you so much, doctor.” Grace said and heard carefully all the precautions which she had to take care of during her pregnancy. Everything was the same as humans except the time period. Instead of waiting for nine months to see the face of the baby, she would have to wait for just three months.
As soon as she came out of the cabin, Theo approached her and asked for her health. Grace didn’t tell him about her pregnancy because she wanted to share this news with Zayden first.
They both took their seats and Theo started the engine. Before driving, he took the water bottle which he already had in the car and offered it to Grace which she gladly took. She didn’t realize she was so thirty until then.
After drinking water, Grace smiled again as she thought of ways in which she would tell Zayden about this news. She knew he would be very happy about it. They had talked about having a child and by his words, he was too eager and ready for it. And she being her, was happy with his happiness. She ran her palm over her stomach again dreamily. It was as if her life had started moving into a different track. She could feel happiness and joy knocking at the door of their life and she was so excited about it.
‘Our life will only have happiness now, Zay! God’s grace is with us. I hope our child’s love could destroy the hatred in your mind.’, She thought.
Grace knew her mate was still after the person who had a hand in his mother’s death. She knew he was still seeking revenge and would not rest until he probably killed his own brother. But, she didn’t want him to pursue this. She didn’t want him to burn in the fire of revenge. She wanted him to be happy. She wanted him to always smile. She wanted him satisfied.
But he wasn’t. He might say to her that he was happy and all. But he wasn’t. He wanted his brother dead.
She just hoped that their child could help him forget about this obsession of killing his own brother.
Grace thought about sharing this news with Zayden through mindlink or phone. She was so excited about it. But, she controlled herself. And, decided to tell him herself, face to face. She wanted to watch his expression as she gave this news to him. She wanted to see how he reacts when he gets to know that he was going to be a father soon.
She admired the beauty of the surroundings and before she knew her eyelids felt heavy. She felt a strange pain throughout her body and she immediately recognized that pain. The pain she had once felt when Zayden was hurt.
‘Grace…..Dan..ger’, She heard the weak voice of Zayden in her mind.
‘Zayden...Zayden…!!’, She tried to reach him but couldn’t.
The sleep, which was in her eyes until a few seconds before, was far away from her eyes now. And that’s the moment, she observed that Theo had taken an opposite route which would never take her back to her home.
