Maryam's POV
*****One month later*****
It's been a month already and of course, I'm back to my parents house,I can't cope with Kareem anymore,he's always too clingy and annoying.
"Assalamu Alaykum" I uttered before I open the door,but what faces me already was more than what was disturbing my brain and mind for the past one month.
Kareem sitting in my parent's living room. I glared at him. "What are you doing here?"
"To see you beautiful". He replied smiling.
Gosh! why would Mom allow him entered this house? It's already 08:30pm. Today was Mansur's Mom birthday and I was invited,thank God he had drop me in front of the gate. I don't know what would have happen if they had seen each other again.
And the was even smiling like an idiot.
"Get out and don't come back again". I told him.
"No, I won't". He answered firmly.
"What on earth are you doing here Kareem? " I asked in a disbelief tone.
What could he have told my parent to let him stay in our house up till this time. This man is really something else.
"I need some sleep". He said looking at me.
What?! This is crazy! Did he really have to leave his parents house or his own big mansion to sleep here?
"Please, just go away, I don't want you here" I said to him as my heart has started pumping ever since I saw him.
He didn't answer me instead, he took off his suit and plunged his whole body on the chair, as if he owns the house.
"Please get out!". I shout at him.
"Stop shouting beautiful, your parents might hear you...you know, they are sleeping already and it wouldn't be good to disturbed them". He said with his eyes closed.
My parent! of course how could I forget that?
I stared at him with wide eyes ! How did he even get here?!
I hurriedly rush to my room and change into my gown,there's no way I'm going to put my nighties on when this pervert is here,I took the wiper and clean my face neatly. Gosh! Make up is always a problem!
Remembering that he was still in the living room,I went back. I found Kareem already asleep looking so peaceful.
As in really sleeping.
He looks so handsome on the couch sleeping.
Oh my God Kareem!
You really surprise me tonight Kareem. Tomorrow is my birthday did you know? Of course he can't.

I decide to go to the kitchen and prepare something to eat. I don't know why I was hungry? Though I didn't eat that much at Mansur's Mom birthday. I can't just eat anyhow there, a lot of politicians and big business men and women are there.
I'm only confused of something. Dad was once a Governor, and he was also a friend to Mansur's Dad and so was Mom too. But why wouldn't they come for the occasion? Is there something going on?
I was about to finish when all of a sudden, I felt someone wrap a two arms around my waist as he back hug me, I jumped in surprised.
"Relax, it's me beautiful". Kareem said as he still hug me.
"Oh my! Like you know that I didn't have dinner" He said eyeing my food.
Thief!
I tried to loosen his arm around me but he kept them still. What's really wrong with him? Acting like a happily married couple?
"Don't assume too much, this is not for you, this is for me" I told him rolling my eyes.
I don't know why made home think that this food is for him.
"Well, I'm hungry and I missed your cooking"
"Can you just let me go". I said as I elbowed his stomach but that didn't stop him.
"You said, you wanted to eat, right? So let me go". I said.
He finally obliged as he released me.

I finished my food and looked at him. He was done eating and I saw him already staring at me.
"There's water in the fridge" I said as I stood up and takes the plate away from the table.
He got a bottle of water and walk towards me in the sink.
"here beautiful" he offered me a glass of water.
"Seriously Kareem,this is my house, I can get water when ever I want". I spat.
"Come on Maryam...you're going to refuse a glass of water?"
Yes he's right,it just a glass of water. I accept it and drank the water.
I finished washing the plate and came out from the kitchen as Kareem also followed me.
"Mar....Maryam"
"Please". I turned around and face him. "I can't understand why you're even here tonight. If you've talk to my parent then so be it! But why are you still here by this time of the night pestering my life! Why?"
Suddenly his phone started ringing.
"Definitely, it's Hafsa calling about his whereabouts". I thought before turning my back at him.
"It's...it's my alarm". He explained to me. Well, I wasn't asking for any explanation, all I want was for him to leave my life. I turned around to tell him to get out when all of a sudden, he placed both of his two arm on my side waists.
"What...what are you doing?" I freaked.
"Don't you want to know why I was here?". he asked.
"I'm here to make sure that I'll be the first person to say this to you...happy 25th birthday beautiful "
I looked at him shocked. He remembered my birthday?! But how?
Before I could say anything or react, he has released me as he placed his hand softly on my cheeks. He then fixed his gaze down on my lip.
No! No! he's going to kiss me again, he's going to kiss me now. I thought blushing already before the actions occur.
But to my disappointment, he didn't.
I looked at him with sour face, he never mind how I was looking at him as he said to me. "Happy birthday my darling wife"
