Maryam's POV
Oh my God! What does he really want this time around? He was already in my room. He's now inside...like inside my bedroom!
"Wh..what are you doing?". I freak out.
He didn't reply me as he moved forward and slump himself on my bed.
"What do you think, shouldn't I sleep here?".
"Are you crazy?!"
"It's you who's driving me crazy beautiful". He smiled.

"Stop with the stupid nickname Kareem,it won't affect me" I snapped.
"Yeah, you're no longer the girl. I can see it through that nightie"
Oh my God! Oh my God! It was too late for me to realise that I was still putting on my night dress in front of him,and it was just one inch below my knees.
With my shaky hands, I wrapped my arm around my self tightly. "please leave now"
"Please let me stay with you tonight". He begged not minding my anger. " I missed us". He added.
"If you're not leaving this room then I will be the one leaving". I said already irritated by his behaviour.
Not waiting for his reply,I walk out of my room and headed to Kareemah's room.
Stay with me?! On my bed?! Tonight?! That jerk! He never changed, still a Pervert.
***Next Morning***
"Oh my! I'm not getting any younger,I want to see my grand children running around this place". I heard mom said to Kareemah who was was messaging her leg, arm and head. She's now getting better, they are both at the balcony close to the garden.
"That would be very very nice, Mom". Kareemah said winking at me.
"Shut up! And you too, get your self a man. You're getting old already!". Mom snapped at her.
"But mom, you had asked me a question, was it bad for me to answer you?". She pout.
"No, it isn't but find your self a guy".
"Okay, Mom".
I had wanted to take a sit beside them both stopped as they both turn to me and eyed me teasingly. Then out of no where, Kareem appeared.
Just great! Speaking of the devil.
"Did you hear what I've just said my son?". Mom asked again.
"I heard you Mom...I'll give you as many grandkids as you want... Once I....". He then turned to me and continued. "Once I win back the heart of the woman I love".
My heart skipped when he said that.
Instead of taking a sit, I decide to leave for my room. "I'll go inside now, Mom"
I walk back inside as I sauntered up to my room, when suddenly, I slipped and roll down the stairs.
"Arrrgh!!" I screamed. Blood was the first thing that flowed out from my right knee
Luckily, Kareem caught up with me but I had hurt my leg.
He pulled me up but I couldn't stand. How comes he was here?
"Ouch!". I screamed out in pain. He tried to examine where I had been hurt but I stopped him. "Don't touch me!" I yell at him.
"Don't be stubborn, you're hurt" he said. "Does it hurt so much?" He asked again.
"how dare you touch me?!"
"You know, you should just keep calm and I'll help you up to your room. If you hadn't left there angrily earlier, this wouldn't have happened". He scolded.
"Stop nagging me,you have no right to". I said pushing his hand away.
To my surprise, Kareem placed his right arm under my knees, and with a full swing he carried me like he was some kind of superhero.
"Put me down you idiot!"
Not minding my violent act, he carried me in his arms and just then, Mom and Kareemah walked in. "Oh my God! What happened? I heard your scream Maryam. Kareem what happened to her? And why is she in your arm?". Mom bombarded with so many questions.
" Mom, she fell down and now she's hurt her knees".
"What?!". Both Mom and Kareemah chorused together. "Please my baby, always be careful with your steps".
What?! Mom thought I'm still a baby.
"Are you alright now?" Kareemah asked and I nod.
Kareem, take her up to her room fastly and applied some treatment to her knees.". Mom said. "And yes, be careful with her wound". She warned. She turned to Kareemah and asked her to go get the first aid kit.
Kareem scoop me more tightly in his arm as he start walking up to my room. "I said put me down or is your eardrum not working?!" He looked at me and said in his deep husky voice.
"Say something again and I'll kiss you"
Of course I shut my mouth up,as much as I want to shout at him,I just had to shut my mouth up!
Would he have kissed me if I had say anything? Oh no I would never allow that.
Kareemah immediately bring the first aid kit once we're in my room.

For the whole day I was treated like a baby in the house. I was not allowed to stand up and I feel so helpless. Still sitting on my bed doing nothing, all of a sudden I feel the urge to pee. I stood up and tried to sauntered to my bathroom but I screamed out in pain. "Arrgh!!" I screamed out. Why does it still hurt?
Kareem barged in as he was now standing beside me. "What are you doing here?!". I glared at him.
" Were you spying on me?".
"You're hurt Maryam and I thought it will be good if I stay with you all the time".
" I can take care of my self".
I know, but please let me help you". It wasn't a question,it was a statement. Without further argument, I allowed him.
I was done with my business in the bathroom as I tried to open the door and walk out but Kareem had beat me to it. He tried to scoop me up in his arm again but I stopped him. "I can..... do this.... alone!" I told him through gritted teeth.
"Doesn't it hurt anymore?". He asked like he cared. God! Who was this man in front of me? He wasn't the Kareem Abdulazeez I used to know.
"You might need my help". He said seriously.
"Gosh! You're driving me nut....just shoo!".
He just eyed me and said. "Seriously beautiful if you need my help,you just have-"
"I really really hate you jerk! Just go away"
"I know...I know you hate me". He said calmly as he step back.
"I'll wait for you outside". He said as he finally went out.
