Shaan’s P.O.V.

I was caught up in my confusion about what to do and where to go when my phone rang off.
Taking out my mobile, I kept staring at the phone but couldn’t bring myself to answer the call of Vai.
I was hating myself considering me the reason of the painful time of vai. The phone kept ringing for a while and I didn’t answer it rather kept staring at the phone screen and tears started rolling down my cheek to the phone screen.
I kept sitting in the park until it was the time when it was to be closed. Leaving the park, I thoughtlessly roamed about in the road.
I didn’t know how long I was like that until I felt I was in a familiar place. I looked around only to find myself in front of Ahmed mansion. It was almost 2 at night.
Tears that were stopped, again started rolling down my cheeks. I kept standing there staring at the building and thinking all of the times, I spent there. Every moment started flashing on my mind.
The house was home to me after Ammi left but when I reminded the words of Abbu, all the painful memories made their way to my mind. I could still feel everything of those times which was only because of me.
Then I glanced at the watch on my wrist which was a gift from Titly and something came to my mind and I decided what to do with myself.
I wiped off the tears and put off the watch from my wrist and went up to the entrance of the mansion.
When I called the guard for just two times, he opened the pocket gate recognising my voice. Seeing me this time, he uttered worriedly, “Shaan! Son, you this time? Is everything okay? Come inside.”
“No, Kaka. I won't go inside.” I uttered with a blank face.
He gave me a questioning look but without bothering to answer him, I forwarded the watch to him and spoke up with the same face, “Kaka, give it to vai and tell him that I am sorry.”
He tried to say something, “But son..” and cutting him off, I spoke up again, “I have something to do now, Kaka. I need to leave.” and left the place without turning back for once.
Ruhaan's P.O.V.

As today was the weekly off day, I again slept for sometime after Fazar prayer and when I woke up, it was almost 9 by morning.
I checked my phone expecting missed calls or messages from Shaan. But strangely there was nothing, not a single thing from him. Getting freshen up, I got downstairs while thinking of him.
Getting down, I saw Aunty was sitting and Roshni and Titly were setting the table for breakfast. Seeing me, aunty spoke up, “Ruhaan, you are up? Good. Now come and let's take breakfast together.”
Everything was reminding me the past times and I felt my eyes tearing up. Controlling that, I got near them and took a seat in the dinning table.
The breakfast time went smoothly but something was bothering me. A seat of a specific person was empty on the table. Shaan was missing. Though Titly didn’t say anything about it but she also kept looking at the chair in every two minutes.
After breakfast, I again called Shaan and this time his mobile was off. I called Mahmud uncle but he also didn’t answer my call. I was getting worried for Shaan.
Then I heard someone calling me from behind, “Ruhaan baba..”
I turned back and found the guard Kaka. I got near him and spoke up, “Yes, Kaka. Do you have something to tell me?”
Nodding at me, he uttered, “Actually, Shaan baba came here quite late at last night and gave me this to give you.”
Saying this, he forwarded a watch towards me. I took the watch and it didn’t take much of time for me to recognise it.
And when Kaka uttered, “And Shaan also asked me to tell you that he was sorry.”, I looked at him being all confused.
And he went on saying, “Ruhaan baba, I think there is something wrong with him. He was not looking well and I felt like he was crying. I told him to come in but he didn’t. He said that he had something to do and left.”
Saying all these, Kaka kept standing there with a worried face. I looked at him and spoke up, “Kaka, you don’t worry. I am going to meet him.”
Nodding at me, Kaka left from there and I was about to get out of the house also but got stopped when Roshni uttered, “What did Kaka say?”
I turned to her for once and then looking at the watch, I spoke up, “Roshni, I think there is something wrong with Shaan. You stay at home with them. I need to go to Shaan.” Saying this, I left from there hurriedly.
At first I went to Mahmud Mansion but the guard told me that Shaan left home at noon of yesterday and didn’t get back yet and uncle was out of town for meeting.
Then I went to the park. When I asked the security guard there showing Shaan’s picture, he told me that Shaan was there till the time the park was closed last night.
Then I went to every possible places that came to my mind where he could possibly go but I couldn’t find any trace of him.
I was getting a really bad vibe. Shaan was surely up to something. Something wrong. Otherwise he wouldn’t block me from reaching him.
It was sure to be of the matter including Titly but what was it that he was needed to do it all alone!!
I felt really clueless and got back home only to get utterly shocked as Titly was sitting in front of the TV with the remote in hand and the news was going on.
The news which was least expected and utterly shocking not just for Titly but for all of us....
