"She would not," I spoke, I know her better than she thinks ask him knows her too, if anyone asked about this, he would have been dead.
"You are right." Ares spoke and I nodded. "Olivia can’t be working with her ex-husband."
"How would she ares, her phone is with me, I have cameras all over the place, fuck we don’t even let her leave the house, the one time she left the house, she was with me all through the fucking time, there is no way she would work with him, if he is working with Victor then someone told him, it’s up to you to find out."
"I apologize if- just leave:" I breathed out, I didn’t want to be rude.
The moment I got the call, I had to cut the conversation short, I hate that I have to leave her like that but I needed to, o needed to be here at the compound to have a conversation; to have an idea of what the hell could be going on.
Victor is one of my biggest enemies yet no one knows about that, I have to do all o can to maintain the image of being the perfect alpha, the most feared alpha, but Victor has no fear for me, it started a long time ago and he has caused damage to my pack. We hid it perfectly until it got worse and I had to kill someone from his family, someone he cared about and he stayed put, I placed a bounty on his head for years and no one has been able to find him.
Until today, they saw Conrad leaving a house; and they saw Victor heading out with him, the house belonged to Victor and I have my wolves heading there to find out what could be going on.
What could he be doing with Victor, how did he know about my relationship with Victor, I am sure it’s not a business meeting, and Eve. If it is and not wolf business then I won’t like it, two people I hate being friendly.
Ares thinks maybe Olivia told him, because maybe it’s not the first time she sneaked into my office, she can’t have said anything, she didn’t even have any contact with what she saw. She didn’t read it and it’s the first time, I keep not much there because I don’t trust anyone, and her phone, it’s burnt, she can’t find it even if she wants to
There is one phone in the office and all conversations are traced back to me.
Olivia is gullible, sweet but she is not stupid, she wouldn’t be helping Conrad for anything, even if she trusted him; I doubt she did, she won’t believe the fact that he didn’t sell her willingly.
I guess I would have to have another meeting with her so-called husband, I need to know what he is up to and I need to get Victor back here, o need to figure out what the fuck is happening, what he is doing, what could be taking place.
Even if he has no plans against me; I need him dead, he is a silent wolf; he is someone that I have hurt before and I don’t think he is ever going to forgive that, only a fool would forgive something like that.
"What?" I breathed out when I heard a knock on my door, I hate that I had to leave her, I hate the fact that we shared important moments and I got this call, I even hate it more that, they can’t deal with anything without having to call me.
"Conrad is here." Ares spoke and I looked up, o guess they were able to find him, it’s even better that they didn’t waste time; because I need to get home while they find out how Victor came into my city without anyone knowing about it; not even a whiff about it.
"Bring him in." I smiled, I don’t think I would want to bring him into the basement; whoever goes in there ever comes back alive, it’s the one rule that I have, and I am not about to break it for him or for anyone.
I waited for a few seconds before he got into my office; he didn’t look at anyone, maybe they roughed him off I don’t care, all I wanted was answers.
Did he really think that we would not find out about what he is doing, it’s even more stupid to think that. He would be at his house when we found him, I didn’t think so.
He is much smarter than that: he can’t be that stupid.
"What is this about?"
"Tone Conrad, just because I had business with you in the past, it doesn’t me anything, it doesn’t mean you will get to speak to me the way you want," I spoke, a wave of anger washing over me, I Ned to have control, I can’t lose control.
"I didn’t do anything."
"I never said you did." I smiled, he even looks better rather the last time I saw him, his eyes had that sparkle in them for someone who lost his wife, maybe he didn’t care about her, she is going to be her when she finds out about that
"What do you have with Victor?" I asked, I can’t beat around the bush, I don’t have time for any of this, all I need is a reason to have him dead: she will forgive me if he is dead.
I don’t think she will ever find out.
"Victor, you called me here to talk about my personal affairs." He’s asked, when I stared at him, he is lucky he is even in the same room as me, I would have had him dead at the moment if he didn’t speak right to me.
He is lucky that she is with me and she means a lot to me right now.
"Speak and don’t hold back; because if you do, you will die and I am sure Olivia would be better off if you are dead and I won’t be done with that, I would make sure that your family are dead too, every one of you, and we both know that I don’t threaten and not mean it, I mean every word, and be aware the moment you leave this room I will make sure every man would be following you," I smirked.
I am not worried about a beta like him, he has no control and he is under me; he answers to only me and I can ruin him if I want, or; I can make sure that he will lose everything and he will just hate me even more, I didn’t care about that last part.
"It’s just business Alpha Luca: he reached out to me to work for him and I said yes, I needed someone good on my side and he showed me all of his other works and the things he has done and he needs someone to help him control what he has. I said yes because Gwen if I have the money; I would need more and I need to have enough to create what I need:" he spoke
He knows what to say; it sounded like he had rehearsed it. A few times, it sounded like he knew he would be asked to come here, I didn’t have time for this; he could leave if he wanted to My eyes are on him, my eyes are on every moment of his.
"Leave," I said. "Be glad you are leaving here alive," I added again before he mumbled a thank you a and he headed out of the room.
I need to think. He could be saying the truth, and if he is saying the truth. He would be curious as to say I am asking so much about Victor and he will start to snoop around.
Either way; it didn’t matter, either way it didn’t make sense, and either way, I am going to keep an eye on him.
The more I stared at the ceiling, I didn’t want to think about it, I had to make sure that he is alive long enough to make sure I know what is happening, and to find Victor because they may meet and I will find out this time.
I was pulled out of my thoughts when I heard my phone ring and I realized this can’t be good,
"What?" I breathed out. The person didn’t speak and I know this can’t get any worse. "Speak right now," I yelled.
I didn’t have the patience for any of this and my men know better than to test me, it could led to their death, and right now I can’t afford to lose any men again.
"We have a problem, they have been taken." He spoke as my breath hitches.
