"Asleep in the room," I spoke to Ares, I called him first thing in the morning, I have been watching her sleep, making sure she is all fine before I closed the doors to ensure no one enters inside but me.
"And you believe her."
"Olivia will not lie and the men, you have seen the way they behave, they discuss our affairs out in the open, they fight each other and they are starting to divide because some want her here and some think that she should not be here."
"The betas are not happy either and now we have to deal with Victor, her father, and stepmother are injured and in the inflate and her sister is unconscious." He spoke and I nodded.
If I could kill them right now I would but I can’t, she is a good person, her heart bleeds even for the wrong person and it makes me fall for her more.
"I know you think I should let her go- no I think that you should I do what is good for the pack Luca, I think you should of what is good for all of us, because with Victor here, and he can’t be found, and don’t get me started on Conrad who can’t be found either, ya like he disappeared into thin air," Ares said cutting me off.
"He can’t hurt me, none of them can."
"You are changing, you are becoming compassionate, you should never have left Conrad leave yet you did, for her, if the men keep taking notice, someone is going to snap and they are going to try and hurt her."
"They will have to come through me for that to fucking happen, no one, I mean it, not even a single hair on her head would be touched and if you think I would let her go because of them, I would never, I waited so long for her, nor any more, I didn’t wait so long, I didn’t fight for so long just so that I would not be able to get what I want, just so that, I would her go at the end, if you are here to tell me all about that, then leave Ares."
"She makes you happy." He finally said and I nodded, he is my best friend; he knows what I went through to be with her, to have her with me, I can’t let her go for anyone or anything, she belongs to me and me alone.
"So what do we do. The footage says she is not lying, someone was in her room, I didn’t see who, the footage was wiped which meant someone walked into my room and into the cctv room, it can’t be here, she didn’t know that I had a hidden panel and even if she did, how could she figure out the password." I asked.
It’s hard to believe one of the wolves would want to take her away but I did, especially after watching them fight each other because of a mere argument that they had, either way. I didn’t trust any of them and someone wants her gone.
"I will keep a close eye on all of them, this can’t get out, things are always hot as it is and we won’t want it to escalate, I will also keep an eye out for Victor and Conrad, I have a few men retracing his steps to find out what he wants." Ares spoke.
"I will keep an eye on the house and other affairs, to make sure that it’s right, it’s ironic for Victor to be here at this time, with her ex-husband Conrad except." I was about to say when I came to a realization.
"Have someone find out if Conrad ever spoke to any of the Beta before I got Olivia and a few days after that, maybe he orchestras this how thing, making all of them not want her to be here, maybe he planted the seed and he hoped it would happen because Victor is with him, he may have deceived me once but not anymore," I spoke and he nodded.
This can’t go on for long, I wanted it to come to an end and I will make sure I do that.
I headed back into my room two hours after we finished working, she was still there, asleep when I laid beside her, I caressed her hair softly when my hand rightly could she hand and she moved a little causing my hand to fall on my ass for a second, I was about pulling it away when I realized something.
"Luca," Olivia said. "Why are you touching me?" She asked, her voice laced with sleep when I stared at her, unable to utter the words that I wanted to say
She abruptly moved away from me, she felt uncomfortable and I did understand that, I didn’t want to touch her like that for now but I felt something, there is something in there, something that she didn’t know about, and fuck if I am right, then this can’t be good.
I would have to kill her husband this time.
"If I wanted to touch you that way, you would know that and you would want it, can you just turn around, I need to check something." I breathed out, my mind filled with anger and thoughts, I needed to know what was going on, I needed to know if I a right.
I pulled out my phone and I texted Ares to get here with a doctor, a female doctor to be precise and he needed to be fast about it.
"What is wrong, you are starting to scare me and don’t say anything, I can see it in your eyes, I can see the way you stare at me, something is wrong, something is going on." She said and I didn’t dare speak.
How can I tell her when I am not so sure about it, how can I tell her when I am worried it would shatter her?
"There is something inside you," I said and her eyes widened. "It’s a tracker:" I spoke again.
"Very funny Luca." She chuckled bitterly when she realized I was not playing, I didn’t have any reason to, her mouth opened, no words to come out as she stared at me.
"Did you know?" I whispered.
"God no Luca, how would I know, why would I even agree to have a tracker inside of me, what could be the reason for me to do that?" She spoke, her mind hazed with questions, she didn’t have any reason but someone else did.
She lived a simple life before I saw her, even when I saw her, she didn’t know of me. She still lived a life any wolf would have and she won’t do that.
I was about to speak when Ares arrived with the doctor and he stared at me with questions, I need the doctor to confirm it.
"You need to trust me, if there is something inside of you, I will punish the man that did this but I need to be sure." I spoke, I moved closer to her, she needs to trust me, "You don’t have to be scared, I am here." I said again and she nodded.
"If it’s in there, Conrad- I will kill him," I whispered cutting her off, It’s not up for debate.
I signaled Ares to turn around which he did and she opened up to the doctor when the doctor performed a quick scan.
"There is a tracker and it’s transmitting at the moment." The doctor spoke and my breath hitches: she stared at me with tears in her eyes and Ares turned.
"I will have someone trace where it’s coming from." Ares spoke and I shook my head.
"If it may be too late for that, we need it out of her, right now," I yelled. "How could he do that, trace her like a fucking animal?" I yelled, my blood boiling with anger, and it made me hate him even more.
No one can convince me otherwise, I am going to kill him, I will make him pay for what he did to her and he will feel every pain that she has felt.
"He is a monster for what he has done; she was his wife, his fucking wife." I breathed out when I turned to look at her, I placed my hands on her and my eyes met hers, a silent promise filled the room. "I am not going to forgive him for what he has done to you, and you are not going to convince me otherwise."
She should consider Conrad a dead man.
I held her hand through it, till the doctor finished. I stared at her even when I wiped her tears and a gunshot pierced through the room
