"Is anyone going to ask the million-dollar question?" Aria asked, she had the biggest smile on her face, it felt like she wanted to be here.
It’s been ten minutes since they arrived and each second before that, all I wanted to do was hurt Luca for inviting them, he should have asked me and he didn’t, and when we got home, I ignored him, I know it’s childish.
"What question Aria?" I breathed out, I glanced at Luca for a second before she turned to look at me.
"I will stop saying anything that may end up hurting your sister, you are in my home, our home," Luca spoke, his voice firm and affirmative, the word home filled my mind and a breath fell out of my lips.
Our home, he is never going to let me go, and I can’t live with the idea of that.
I glanced at him, his eyes were on mine again, when Aria didn’t speak, she didn’t dare to, I know she is scared of him too.
"Forgive me for asking but as her father, I am a bit converted, can you tell me what is happening between you and my daughter?" My father asked and scoffed escaped my lips.
"Concerned." I chucked, even the word felt unfamiliar, even the word felt like he was mocking me, he didn’t feel any concern, all he wanted was a bit of gossip for his wife, something to make him feel knowledgeable about the situation.
"Liv don’t start." My father spoke and I smiled, "You may have left all of us, abandoned your mom- I didn’t." I whispered cutting him off.
My mind blazed with anger and questions, he didn’t have the night to say that to me, he didn’t have the right to even turn to look at me and lie about it, he didn’t have the right to come at me for what I had done.
Without speaking a word, I headed out of the room and into the kitchen, my mind filled with tears as tears slipped out of my eyes, I stared at them through the glass, they could not see me because of how it was made but I could see them, each part of them.
"Olivia." I heard my voice. When I turned my eye met Luca, he didn’t look happy.
"Have you seen what you have done, why didn’t you ask me before consulting them?" I whispered yelled.
"No yelling." He breathed out and I rolled my eyes at him, he still wanted control, as he moved closer to me, before I could move away, he placed his hand on mine and he pulled me closer to him, his eyes were on mine for a second when another tear slipped out of my eyes.
"Let me guess, you had your reason, you are not going to tell me about it, or this is you trying to make my family like you because k am trapped in your home."
"I don’t care what they think of me." He finally spoke, his head filled with honesty, it felt like he was just watching me cry, trying to figure out why I was crying. "Why do you let them get to you, why does she get to you?"
"I don’t know." I breathed out, they always treated me as a weak person and when I got married, Conrad did the same too, he made me think that I am weak, he made me think that I have no control over anything or anyone, he made me think that, I could not have a choice when it came to many things and I believed him, I believed every word that he has said to me, I believed every word that escaped his lips.
"How do you do that?" I whispered as I stared at him. "How do you know what I am thinking about it, how do you know what I want to say even before I say the words?" I breathed out.
"You are not weak," Luca spoke ignoring the questions, he is not going to tell me what I needed to hear. "They dork control you, their words don’t control you, I will hurt each and every one of them for trying to bring you down, in my own way."
"I don’t want any more bodies, I don’t want any blood, I don’t want any drama," I whispered against my breath, his way is violent, his way always leads to death and his way is never good I, I hated all of them it didn’t mean k would wish death upon any of them, I would never do such a thing.
His hand softly held mine and he used his hand to wipe the tears that fell against my cheek, my eyes were on his briefly, it was for a second when he used his fingertips to wipe the tears that fell against my cheek, as I stared at him.
"You will stand for yourself, they can’t hurt you, you are in my home, you may think you are a prisoner but you are not, you are in my fucking home, they will not hurt you, heat your father has or say, you say the same to him, what your sister has to say, you listen with bold smile."
"It’s not as easy as you think."
"Do you know why I am still a powerful leader, someone that is feared all across the city and someone that no one wants to cross paths with?" He asked and I nodded, before I could speak, he beat me or it. "Solely because I don’t let things slide, Aria picks on you because you let her, she thinks she is still a brat she has always even when she was back home."
How did he know that, I didn’t dare ask, I had to focus on what he said.
When we got out into the room, the whole room went quiet and I felt a wave of confidence wash over me, maybe if it’s not up to him, I would have even filled with emotions, I would have been filled with tears and she would get what she wants.
"So Aria." I smiled this time. "Did you ever tell Father about the multiple abortions that you had?" I asked and she stared at me.
She is not the only one who is allowed to mean to me, she is not the only one who can talk the way she wants, I will make her pay, I will make her feel pain.
"Let’s not talk about this, how have you been holding up being in the city?" Father said he didn’t care if it were me; he would have cared, all this time she lied about me; he didn’t care to ask if it’s true, he acted on all of it, he is the worst father any girl could ask for.
I am glad he didn’t have any kids. He was not ready to love all of them. He didn’t have it in him to feel and love all of his kids.
"What do you want to know. How my life has been or do you want to ask the million dollars questions, like Aria said, what I am doing with him and if I left the house because of you, do you recall you didn’t even want to meet the man I was mated to, your suit even care, because you thought you have a better future for me."
"I did n’t-don’t cut her off while she is speaking," Luca said and I smiled.
No one has had my back like him, not even Conrad, the more I stared at of them, the more I felt annoyed because he convinced mother that my mate is bad and he can’t be with me he didn’t even want to meet him and of course she will do all she can to make sure she will listen to him
Maybe because his daughter didn’t find a mate that year and I did, and he didn’t want me to, I am older than her; it’s only fair if did hit he didn’t care, I can still recall all of the events that took place and I call still recall how she looked at me that day, like I am tainted.
"Do you know what we all want to know?" Aria smiled. "It’s why you are always going after things that are mine. Why are you always going for what I choose first, I mean it’s starting to get sad at the moment."
"What are you even talking about?" I asked, then she looked at Luca, who had no idea what she was talking about.
"Are you going to tell her or should I?" She asked, What is she talking about.
I don’t think he knew what she wants to say.
