Thea's Point of View
Celine woke up hastily because I aggressively threw away my phone. Cray woke up and cried out loud as I badly stared at my phone, which was now broken. I was gasping with rage. My flesh trembled because of the picture I saw.
That picture of Craig with Felicity while they were having sex. The same goes for the video. Is this what he’s saying she’s going to release in case I don’t divorce Craig?
Celine stood up and then Cray keep weeping, but I couldn’t even get rid of the anger that was in my heart. What else do they want?
Why don’t they stop hurting me! The chance that I thought Craig and I could still be together was completely wrecked.
“FUCKKKK AHHHHHH!!!” I shouted to the point the people below would hear me. I didn’t mind Cray’s crying, and all I wanted now was to fire the anger I was feeling.
Celine slowly approached me., but I saw my son was terrified because of what I had done. I tried to pick him up but he hugged Celine tightly. I suddenly felt sorry for him because he didn’t want to stop whining. I took a deep breath first and removed the hateful feeling. Then smiled. I can’t be weak in front of Cray.
“Baby, I am sorry. Mommy was bitten by insects, so she shouted. Come here, let’s sleep. Celine is tired.” I tried to take him and fortunately, he came with me.
Celine looked at me intently as she handed my child to me. When I got to Cray, I couldn’t stop my tears from falling. It was as if they had inserted a hot metal into my heart. It was as if there was a poison given to me so that I could not express the pain I was feeling.
She walked over to us, then hugged me. She caressed my back. Then stroked my hair. This is what I need now. If my mommy is alive, will she do this too? All I want is to dream about what I am experiencing. In my dream, I was with them. Sometimes I wanted to go with them because I could not cope with the pain.
Celine invited me to lie down on the dream, the bed, so that’s what I did. Cray immediately fell asleep in my arms. When I lay down, Celine turned off the lamp and then closed the door. I can’t remember when I fell asleep. All I knew; I was sobbing softly so Cray couldn’t hear me.
“SIR !!!”
A woman’s scream quickly woke me up. I immediately touched my bed to look at Cray, but I felt relieved to see that he was still sound asleep.
“SIR !!! THAT’S ENOUGH!” I heard a loud shout again. Even when I was in the room, they still didn’t stop screaming. I looked outside and saw that it was morning.
I first walked to the bathroom to take a shower and saw my eyes were swollen.
Although it wasn’t too swollen, it was obvious that I cried all night. I hurried out of the bathroom when I heard a crash from outside. I thought it was my son, but I noticed it didn’t even move in his place.
Irritated that Cray might wake up, I opened the door to see what the commotion was outside.
As soon as I opened it, I could hear the crack of the feet in the lobby. I just walked slowly. I don’t think they noticed I had reached the floor. I leaned on the handrail and just watched them. When the helpers saw me, they stepped back to stop weaning, the two men who were already breaking their skulls on the floor.
“You are no longer ashamed. Do you even do this really inside my house?” They both stopped when they heard my voice. I was still leaning on the handrail with my arms crossed. What I was wearing was what I wore when I met Felicity. I couldn’t change yesterday. Just simple shorts and a white shirt. I don’t do up what I’m wearing anymore.
Mason and Craig are both in-office attire. Aunt Joana’s eyes were still scared because of what was happening. Can’t she even stop these two?
Craig sat on the reclining Mason as he held the man’s collar and raised his fist and was ready to punch Mason. When he turned to me. I saw his lip cracked while Mason was the same and his eye was a bit hurt. If they dream of becoming boxers, why don’t they train?
“If you even fight each other, why in my house? Is there no shame left in your bodies?” I not only said that to the two of them but also Aunt Joana.
Craig left on top of Mason and dropped his collar. I walked to the kitchen, so they were all watching me. Even the maids just stared at me. I took the two large knives from their carton and then went out again into the living room.
I gave the first to Mason and the second to Craig. They were staring at what I was doing, so I spoke.
“Get out of here, stab each other outside. I don’t want you to spread your troubles here.”
I saw Craig tightened his grip on the knife. I was ready to go back to the room when he pulled my hand, but I slapped it hard so that he would let go of me. I took another step toward the stair and then shook his hand. It surprised him at the shake I made.
That video and photo just brought to life what I thought I had long forgotten. If he didn’t mean it, he wouldn’t let the woman who caused our son’s death come near him!
He could not bear to see that woman who was to blame for the ruin of our family! In the end, Felicity was even more important to him.
“Thea...” Almost only air came out of his voice when he spoke.
I swallowed a few times before finally saying what I wanted to say to him. I thought about it well last night and I think that’s also the only way I can focus on the things that matter more. Of the things, I should do.
“Don’t come here again. You can’t see Cray anymore.”
When I turned around, I heard the fall of the knife he was holding, but I just continued to climb the stairs.
