Thea's Point of View
After he said that, he immediately turned off the call. What is happening to him? I just ignored that and let him go. Maybe he did something wrong. Or maybe he just wants to apologize for what he did to me before. Well, he didn’t do much wrong.
“Mommy.” When Cray called me, I saw the food was already scattered on the bed. I laughed out loud because of what he had done.
“Hurry and eat and we’ll clean that up with the maids.”
Soon he was finished. What can I do today? While thinking, someone called my phone again, I will come to know why so many people seem to call my number?
It’s an unknown number again, but it’s not like before. Those numbers were different, so I would have had no intention of answering that. When it died, I saw the text above, which astonished me.
“Answer the call.”
I hadn’t finished reading the whole text message when it suddenly called again. I didn’t take the time to answer the call. I didn’t speak and I let the one on the other line say what he/she wanted.
“Why did you come back?” It was only in those lines that I knew immediately who it was. Until now, there has been no improvement. She is not changing. To this day, she is still obsessed with Craig.
“Can you calm yourself down, Felicity? I just arrived in Turkey. You are too eager to send me away. Doesn’t your soul feel at peace when I’m around you?”
The maid took Cray from me for a bath. I was supposed to bathe him, but because Felicity called, I wanted to make her even angrier.
For several years, anger still welled up in my heart every time I spoke to her.
“Maybe you forgot what I could do?” She laughed on the other line as if she were a demon. No. Maybe she’s the devil and just pretends to be human.
“Why don’t you try now? Let’s see where you pick up. Perhaps the cold railing is what you will end up. I let you do anything before, don’t wait for me to get mad.” I immediately turned off the call so that she could no longer talk. I also planned to block her number when I read her message to me earlier.
“I want to talk to you. Meet me at the Hightown building at 6 PM. I have something to tell you.”
I tightened my grip on my phone. This is also the message she sent me 2 years ago. I don’t want to run carrying the past. If I continue like this, it will be as if I have proved that in the past few years nothing has changed, that I have not even made progress. Before I blocked her number, I replied to her first.
“This is the last time I’ll give you a time. After it, you must stop disturbing me—US. This will be the first and last time.”
I no longer waited for her to talk and block her number.
Craig's Point of View
“Mr. President, someone told me she got off the plane. Are we going to pick her up?”
When my bodyguard said that, I immediately felt nervous. Over time, I thought she would never come back. I waited for her because she was rich. She could also hide where she was. She was not like others who easily knew where they were going. I searched for her for months until I just gave up, no matter how much I wanted to find her.
“Yes, please.”
I’m ecstatic to see her again. I had waited so long that when I learned her name was slated to return to Turkey; I was overjoyed. It’s the same air we’re breathing now. I was all set to ask her. What’s the first question I should ask?
“How are you?”
“What’s new to you?”
“What are your new hobbies?”
But all the questions in my brain were replaced by “who”.
“Who is the boy with you?”
“Do you have a new husband?”
I didn’t sign the divorce paper, so I don’t know how she was able to marry someone else. When the bodyguard said you had a child with you, I couldn’t understand my heart. It got angry and very hurt.
When you entered my building, my heart could not rest. It’s fading away because, finally, you are here. I don’t have to look after you again.
I turned around and waited for her to enter. I don’t feel like I can afford to see her right away and maybe I’ll just hug her all of a sudden.
When I heard the door open and close, I was ready. Now I can get the answer if there is no space in her heart anymore.
“DADDY!”
I couldn’t believe it when the child rushed up to me and turned to face me; it was as if I could see the young Craig. It felt as though little Craig was standing right in front of me now. It brought me to tears even harder, and Thea wanted to take him up, but he refused. I didn’t want to give the child, but I appeared to understand what Thea had stated.
“Craig !!! Get back my child to me!” When Thea’s voice echoed in the room, that’s when I woke up. Why did I think my child was mine? Our baby has been gone for a long time and it’s my fault.
But when I saw her return to our house, I realized that; I want to win her back. We are still married and I know I can still get her back. I will be selfish first. I want her to be mine again. But I don’t think it’s necessary anymore because she said it was my son.
I don’t know if I will be grateful that Felicity followed me and because of that, Thea confessed to me. Or annoyed that she followed because I knew Thea would think differently.
In the end, I still decided to earn the trust of her and my son again but I haven’t even started yet. It looks like I will destroy her trust again and she seems to remember the past again.
“You can’t leave me, Craig, I’ll do everything I can to keep you from having happiness together.”
That was the last thing Felicity said before leaving my office and left a photo and flash drive.
