"Mom didn't cause the fire in you island."
"What? No! W-why-"
That's impossible! I turned and leaned on the head board of the bed. I can see the way he looks at me but he seems to expect that this is how I will react.
"This is why I wanted to talk to you this whole time, but I guess you will never be ready for this encounter. You didn't want to talk to me-"
"You're lying."
"You think I will lie to you?"
I got more confused. I broke his hold on me and wrapped the blanket around my body. I lower my feet to the bed despite the pain I feel in the middle of my thigh. He sighed heavily and tried to touch me but I didn't let him because I've already got up before he could even do that. Wrapped the only blanket around my body I went to the glass door and opened it.
The cold breeze of air enveloped my system but that's what I needed. The terrace of his room is not narrow and not that wide but I can say it is one of my dreams. But not able to seize the city is the turmoil in my heart. I've been confused for a long time but I don't think there's anything more chaotic now, I don't even know what if he's telling the truth or just trying to cover up his mom. I know he's been hurt before but will he really do that just because he's on his mother's side.

"I left because that's what it's supposed to be!"
"To hurt me, is what it's supposed to be?" He said emphatically.
His eyes went cold and grim but immediately switch with the soft expression luring me.
"This is why I wanted to take this slow, if maybe you weren't here before you left."
My mouth opened but no words came out, all he do was to confuse me. I feel like I'm going to explode with as much as I can think.
"I know you're not ready for this matter. But all I can assure you is that my mother did not cause that fire in you island. And my brother don't know a thing, that's why he's in Mar De Vena because he was also looking for answers, he found his answer in his own way. "
"So your saying that my brother lied to me?"
"No, I'm saying that he had an invalid reasons. I know you two are lost and I understand him for having that thought."
I listened to him and he nodded again. But I backed away again. I felt the railing behind me so I looked at it. I saw that he also looked behind me his eyes were dark and he seemed to be running out of patience.

So he knew about this a long time ago? His posture was blurry in my sight due to my tears of confusion. Trying to function anything that he's saying. The blanket that wrapped around my shoulder dropped a bit, I ignored the cold.

I brushed my cheeks to his chest, funny how I feel so secure when in fact my there's a chaos inside my head. As long as he is this fast I burn. All my anger will disappear, all my fear will disappear. I can't believe it, that after all of these years I believe differently.
"I'll let you talk to mom, you'll know everything you want to know."
"No, your mother hates me."
"Why would you say that, did she even said she hates you?"
I thought for a moment about the things he told me this morning that we met and all the hurtful things he said but I didn't want to tell Levi any more. Even then, I could still feel his hatred on my cheek.
"No, but it's an obvious thing. We met at VREC and ... she even told me that you're supposed to be married by now."
"Can you explain that to me, I've been hearing that to you since last night. Are you imagining things or what?"
I frowned and stared at him.

His eyes stayed on me like he still can't understand me. I pushed him softly and pulled up the chair and sat down, he looked at me calmly. I felt the cold again because of the loss of his hug with me.
"Don't act like you don't know anything. Your mom told me that, and even my boss! Isn't that why VGH didn't work because your mom took it from you? Because you weren't able to get it married because of that ... lost fiance of yours! "
He cocked his head and his confused eyes had a hint of humor. He approached me and knelt on one knee to reach my level.
"I don't seem to like that made-up story, but nice shot. At least you're back to me again."
"Made up?"
His brows furrowed.
"All I know was that you convinced me so we can cover up the issue of your scandal."
My lips twitched, remembering that part of my life.
"Correction, I did not pretend to be your boyfriend because I am your boyfriend. Unless you have one aside from me ..."
"What? No! Don't change the subject! Just explain it to me."
I don't understand anymore, am I still drunk?
"I don't have a fiance, and truth yeah, mom didn't give the company to me because she's pursuing me to get married before handling that company."
"And your fiance?" He laughed.
It seems too lazy to be what I keep saying.
"Who told you that again? I want to meet that heaven's sent."
I slapped his arm for his answer. So does that mean all this time I was just assuming that he had one? And what about Mrs. Evangelista's story about ... Oh my, did they lie to me and made up that story so I can? ...
