Jacob’s P.O.V
I saw Jackson and Daniel sitting together in peaceful silence and shook my head, remembering how all this came about. Jackson and I were waiting for Daniel to come out of his room, but Jackson’s phone kept ringing and he would not answer it, his phone suddenly stopped and mine started ringing. I took my phone out of my pocket and saw that it was Daniel's father, Robert.
I answered the call and he asked me where Daniel was because he had been trying to ring him and Jackson, but neither of them were answering. I looked at Jackson and he just rolled his eyes, giving me a bored look and letting me know that he was ignoring Robert’s phone calls on purpose and because of this robert had called me.
I lied to him and told him that daniel was busy with work and could not pick up the phone, but that's when he told me that Daniel's grandfather had passed away and was trying to get in touch with him to let him know. Robert told me to bring Daniel back as soon as possible. I told Jackson and he looked at me in shock, but the biggest problem was going to be going into Daniel's room and telling him, but Jackson was the only one that could do it.
Jackson went inside the room and told Daniel everything, but after hearing this news there was no change in Daniel's eyes or in his face which was not shocking. If i expecterted to see any change in his expression after ten years of working with him and more than ten years of living with him, then I would be foolish. After hearing the news of his grandfather's death, he did not say anything, he just went to take a bath and got dressed like normal.
He was not panicking or looking like he was in a hurry, but It seemed like something was going on in his mind. He did not say that he was not going to leave the country like he always says and It was strange that he was quietly going to leave the country. It was nice to see this peace on the airplane, but I knew that a lot of things are going on in Daniel's mind and this peace is only going to last as long as he is on the airplane, no one could have guessed what was going to happen after we landed. I had a First Aid Kit in my hand and brought it to fix Daniel's hands. Last time he kicked me and Jackson out of his room, so I could not give him the medicine and ointment that he needed.
"Sir, you have not yet put ointment on your hands. Let me put ointment on your hand." I said, standing in front of him with the first aid kit. I knew that he had heard me, but he did not bother to reply or look at me and just carried on looking out of the window. I turned to Jackson, pleading with him with my eyes and asking him for help. I knew that if anyone saw Daniel's bloody hands they would start asking questions, especially his mother and it would only increase any trouble that was coming. At the same time I was worried that Daniel still was not saying anything, but Jackson just smiled at me and got up from his seat.
“Give it here.” Jackson said, taking the first aid box from me and going to sit next to Daniel. I watched as Jackson just grabbed Daniel's hand and held it in a way that Daniel could not pull away from him. Jackson knew how to handle Daniel, I had watched him do it for the past twelve years.
“I should be paid a fortune for having to put ointment on the hand of the devil.” Jackson said, trying to break the tension filled atmosphere, but it did not work. After he had finished tending to Daniel's hands, he put the box down and sat there looking at Daniel.
“Daniel, I know what's going on in your mind, but I want you to calm down. We are going to be there in two hours and there will be media everywhere. You know that all eyes will be on your family and you now, I just want you to be calm.” Jackson said, while Daniel and I listened. Daniel heard what he said and turned his attention away from the window and looked at jackson, but he did not say anything, he just stared at him. No one understood the meaning of Daniel's silence. Perhaps this meant that he was going to do what he had to do and no one could change his mind, but that only meant that this was going to be fucking dangerous.
After about 2 hours the plane landed and we got off, but Daniel was watching the media as he walked down the stairs. They were so drawn to take a photo of him that the number of bodyguards had to increase. I had already informed Daniel that the media would not bother him, but I knew very well that in such a time, Daniel was not threatened by the media, but rather the media was threatened by Daniel. At this time he was so angry that he could end up doing anything to anyone.
Daniel and Jackson immediately got in the car and I started to drive, immediately exiting the airport. I got us out of there as soon as I could so that the media could not chase us. We reached the mansion after driving for an hour in peace and as the car crossed the main door, there was a line of bodyguards. I stopped the car and went to open the door for Daniel, but Daniel stopped me from doing this and told me there was no need to do so.
“Change your habit brother or you will be in trouble.” Jackson said to Daniel and I nodded, making Jackson smile at me and only me.
