Jackson’s P.O.V
I got out of the cab and headed for the club again, the same bodyguards were still waiting outside for me because I had forbidden them to follow me. I walked towards them and they were all looking at me confused, noticing that I was not wearing my coat and that my shoes were different to the ones I was wearing earlier.
I always wore a coat, but not today, I noticed their gazes but I did not pay any attention to them. I was just walking into the club, when I pulled out my phone and saw that I had a load of missed calls from Noah and Jacob. I was forty minutes late, so I could understand that they would be angry and upset with me.
I needed to think of an excuse for my absence, especially for daniel. I told him I would be back in five minutes, but it was well past that now. I had received calls from both Noah and Jacob and my other friends, but Daniel had not called me once which was strange. I stopped and looked up to see that the lights were all on in the club, but there was no music and no one was here. This was really strange.
“Jackson! You bastard! Where the hell have you been?! Why are you so late?! I have been calling you like crazy, but you were not answering your phone.” Noah shouted, walking towards me, he looked very angry, but I still had not thought up an excuse to tell him.
“Sorry Noah, at the last minute something important came up at work and I needed to finish it” I said and gave him a big smile to cover my lie, Noah glared angrily at me, but still hugged me tightly.
“I will forgive you this time, but don't you dare do it again.” Noah warned me and I nodded my head. I looked around to see where Daniel was, but there was no one here, the whole club was empty.
“Where is Daniel?” I asked in a normal tone, but Noah's expression changed.
“Daniel is not here, everything is a mess, Jackson and I am responsible for this.” Noah said and as I heard about this I panicked. Daniel’s mood was already bad because of other things and now I got this news. It was not good and suddenly I noticed there was blood on the floor and there was so much it looked as if someone had been murdered.
“Noah, what happened here? Tell me everything. Is this Daniel’s doing? Is he safe? Did he harm himself?” I asked and I was getting worried for Daniel. I was regretting not being here to handle him.
“Jackson….yes, it is Daniel’s doing, but do not worry he is safe. He did not harm himself, rather he harmed someone else.” Noah replied, making me grit my teeth in anger.
“Who the fuck angered him to the level that he used his gun?” I asked, I knew Daniel must have used his gun to inflict this much blood loss. Noah looked at me and saw that I was so angry that I was also planning to hurt the one who was responsible for this.
“I told you, I was careless and it was my fault. This is my club and I should have paid more attention to everything that was going on around me, but I forgot everything to meet Daniel and our old friends. My younger brother messed with this girl and tried to rape her, it was the girl whom Daniel had been searching like crazy for. Daniel got as angry as the devil about what my brother tried to do and shot him in the hand five times, that's why there is so much blood. He was going to kill him and shoot him in the head too, I nearly lost him, but that girl stopped him right away or else everything would have gotten out of control. I was not able to stop Daniel, he was not ready to listen to me. You know no one can stop him. I knew my brother was at fault, but at that time, I needed you and that's why I was calling you like crazy.” Noah replied, blaming himself for what happened.
“No, it is not your fault. We all know how Daniel behaves when it comes to Sara. That girl must be Sara. It means she came here with her friends. I should have understood everything when I saw her friend. It is my fault.” I said and started to walk towards the exit of the club.
“Jackson, where are you going?” Noah shouted after me, as I started running out of there.
“I am going to Daniel!” I shouted back to him. I ran towards my car, all the time trying to call Daniel, but he was picking up. I was getting more and more worried about him with every passing second. I got angry that I could not get in touch with him and kicked my car in anger. I understood that Daniel was not in his right mind, but he always answered my call and now he was acting strange.
This matter has to be related to Sara and it must be sensitive for him to not answer the phone. I have a bad feeling about this, something must have happened between Sara and Daniel, but whatever it is must have affected Daniel badly. I opened the door to my car, quickly got in and sped away. I was driving down the main road and still trying to call Daniel, but there was still no answer. I stopped calling him and decided to give Jacob a call, he would know where Daniel was and what was going on with him. I dialed his number and he picked up straight away, like he had been waiting for my call.
“Hello, Jacob. Where is Daniel?” I asked and stopped my car on the side of the road.
“Sir, please come quick. I am at Daniel's house, he is home.” Jacob whispered down the phone. Why was he whispering? I quickly hung the phone up and sped off, driving as fast as I could to Daniel's house. Less than fifteen minutes later I arrived and saw that the front door was open. I entered the house and started searching for Jacob and Daniel, I went upstairs towards Daniel's room and saw Jacob standing outside his room, waiting for me.
“What happened? Why are you waiting out here?” I asked him, but Jacob looked really nervous.
“Daniel is not letting me in. I have knocked on the door so many times, even though I know it is not locked, I can not go in without Daniel's permission and he is not talking.” Jacob said and I could understand him feeling nervous, he was in a helpless situation. I know that daniel must have been furious for him to stay in his room like this and I also knew that me going in there would put me in danger.
“How did all of this happen? Where were you when all this happened?” I asked, but immediately felt guilty. I knew that Jacob was already blaming himself, just like I was and with how I just spoke to him I made it seem as if it was his fault, when it was not.
