Rafael woke up early the next morning as he wanted to surprise his wife with breakfast in bed, she deserves the special treatment, he hurriedly got into the kitchen and turned on the heater, he wanted to make something light that she will enjoy, he had told them to stock their kitchen even though, they might be eating out most time he made some scrambled eggs, bacon and some toasts and made her a cup of nice tea, he was done in about thirty minutes and managed to plate the food in time, he cleaned up after himself knowing how much she hated to see thing disorderly, he made his way back to their bedroom and opened the door slowly, thankfully she was still sleeping peacefully, he smiled dropped the food at the foot of the bed and sat beside her, admiring the beauty of her face, he would never get tired of looking at this beautiful face and feeling blessed that she was his, in everyway, no one else had her before him and no one else would because he wasn't going to let her go, he gently bent and placed a kiss on her forehead, she turned in her sleep, he smiled when he saw her smiling before she opened her eyes, she was like the sun that brightens his day, he couldn’t imagine a life without her, heck he couldn’t even remember how he lived without her all those years they didn’t meet.
"Good morning princess, rise and shine,"
He greeted as she stretched, she looked happy and that made him happy too knowing that he was a major part of the reason she was happy.
"Good morning my love, you are awake early,"
She said lifting herself up to peck him on the cheek.
"Yes baby, I wanted to give you something special,"
He said caressing her face, she held his hand and smiled.
"Everything you give me is special,”
She said.
“Glad to know but this is special too,”
“What's that?"
"Nothing much, just something I have always wanted to give you,"
"And?"
"Breakfast in bed baby, I wanted to do this for quite some time now, glad to finally be able to,"
He said as he brought the food in front of her, she smiled fondly at him, she liked it, he could tell by her happy expression that she liked it and that was all he needed, his whole mood depend on seeing this happy smile.
"Thank you so much for this Rafael , it's so thoughtful of you, you do the little things that mean the most to me and I can't thank you enough,"
She said hugging him suddenly, he had to make sure the food didn't spill.
"I am glad you like it,"
He said and kissed her, he watched her eat with satisfaction, this was it, this was how he wanted his life to be, this was what he wanted to spend his every waking breath seeing, her smile and happy face and when their baby finally comes, he wanted to make them happy too, he was going to build that happy and healthy family he didn't have while growing up, he was going to make sure his kids didn't have to go through what he did, his family, everything, they were going to get everything, the love, the attention, everything, he would make sure of it.
"Where is our first stop?"
She asked after she was done eating, she ate everything to his satisfaction.
"Anywhere you want us to go, I am here to serve you, my lady, you are the boss, whatever you say is what we are going to do,”
He said touching her soft cheeks, God, he was bewitched by her and he loved it.
"Uh-huh, that's so sweet, let me check for it online, I will get back to you,"
She said and picked up her phone, he left her and took the dishes she used back to the kitchen, made sure to wash them before coming back to meet her.
"Have you found anything yet?"
He asked, sitting close to her, she moved closer and rested her head on his chest.
"Yes, babe, I have, there is quite a lot of interesting places, plus you said you will teach me how to swim, even though I know that will be hopeless, I took swimming lessons and we even have a pool at home but swimming ain't for me,"
She said with a pout, she was cute and adorable, his wife.
"Don't worry, you don't have to know how to swim, you have me,"
"I know, I have made a few lists of where we should visit based on the reviews of other people that have visited Bora Bora," but sadly, I am just going to sit and watch you enjoy it all except maybe the jet skiing, most of the other things requires getting into the water, well jet-skiing too but I won't be inside the water, apart from the fact that I am water scared, I can't do anything right now because I am still in my risk month, so I am going to have fun capturing all our moments,"
She said, he didn't think about her not being able to participate in certain activities, heck he didn't even think about the fact that she was carrying his child, such a father.
"I am a sorry wifey, we shouldn't have come here then, I didn't think about it well,"
He apologized.
"Don't be sorry, I love it here and would have been upset if I had found out you didn't bring me here after you planned it. I promise I can have fun without those activities, okay?"
She said, kissing him all over the face, the sadness and disappointment he felt for bringing her here when she had limited activities she could participate in washed away and he smiled brightly, taking all the love she was giving.
“Good, I want to see you smile, I love it when you are smiling, okay?”
"Yes, baby,"
"God, now let's go do some exploring,"
"Yes, right after we take a shower,"
He said carrying her with him into the shower...
