He greeted, kissing her on the forehead, she greeted him and collected the bag he held, she knew it was for her.
"Thanks for this,"
She smiled when she saw her favorite chocolate brand and happily collected it from him, she never told him she liked it but he had somehow picked it out, he was super observant and that was so cool.
"What happened? You are sulking?"
She asked when she took a good look at his expression, he didn't seem happy, like something happened that he didn't like, maybe a deal didn't go the way he wanted.
"Yeah, don't mind me, someone was just being a prick and that ruined my mood, and to crown it all my assistant thinks he right and I am wrong,"
"Wanna, take a shower eat and tell me what happened? I will listen and tell you the truth if you are at fault or if the person is,"
She suggested and he nodded in agreement, she collected his bag from him and he went to take a shower, she sat with him as he ate, and when he was done they went to seat at the balcony in their room, where he told her what happened between him and his friend.
"So? You made your friend cry? And now what? You don't have a friend? Dude? You don't do that, come on,"
Nicole said, she knew she wasn't good with friends but at least she knew when someone was genuine, like Grace.
"He is not my friend,"
"How do you know that? how long have you guys known each other?"
"I can't remember, maybe six or five years or even more,"
"Wow, and you think such a friend is not your friend? Don't get me wrong, I have trust issues too but if I have been with someone for even a year and the person hasn't done anything to prove he is not loyal then I can't just say that, that's my problem for not trusting and not hers, she hasn't done a thing, or has Caleb done anything shady to you before?"
Nicole asked realizing she had work to do, she couldn't let Rafael due to his trust issues lose a friend who might be his only true friend.
"What? Are you thinking about it? Think hard, has he betrayed you before? Has he picked an opponent over you before? Has he told you before? If not then I am not sorry to say this but you don't deserve him,"
She said, he looked at her, his eyes wide open and she nodded, he didn't deserve this friend of his, she didn't know much about him but even after she had acted weird to him at her wedding when they had met once he had talked nicely to her and he seemed like a rely on nice guy, Rafael was wrong in this case and she wanted him to know that.
"Raffy? Anything yet?"
"None, none, okay, he hasn't done any of those,"
"You see,"
"No, I don't see, he hasn't done any of those because I haven't let him, he doesn't even know anything about me so how is he going to betray me? I don't tell him things,"
"Dude? Come on, you don't need to tell him things before he knows you, the fuck? Think about it this way, you have picked up a lot from me without I have to tell you, like that chocolate you got, I never told you I liked them but you noticed from being with me and that's short compared to how long you and this guy have known each other trust me, even if you don't tell him, he has picked up a lot about you, just ask him, you might be surprised just how much you haven't told him that he knows about you, in this, I can't support you, you have to apologize to your friend, I mean grovel,"
She replied, her husband frowned not liking her judgment, but she couldn't support him doing something wrong and accusing a friend wrongly.
"Is that what you think? You are going to support Caleb? I am your husband,"
He answered, she couldn't tell if he was offended by her not siding with him.
"Yes, Honey, you did wrong and you need to apologize, he is your only friend and you shouldn't shut him out, I promise that if you give your friendship with him a new light, you will see just how nice it is to have someone in your life as your friend, I didn’t know how that felt until I became friends with Grace,"
"Grace, is different, this is a man whose business is similar to mine, how can I trust someone like that, how can I think of him as a friend and not think he is coming close to me to get things from me and use them against me?"
"The question should be has he ever done anything like that? If no, then you have to apologize,"
She answered, he looked like he was deep in thought for a while before he shook his head.
"Let's keep that aside, I want us to go somewhere nice, like the last time but this time, the real you and me, Nicole, in Bora Bora for ten days, what do you say?"
She liked the idea but she wasn't going to tell him yes until he agrees to apologize and make up with his friend.
"It's cool, but I am not going anywhere with you unless you make up with Caleb,"
She said firmly.
"What?"
"Yes, that's it,"
"Are you for real? You don't even know Caleb,"
"But you do and you hurt his feelings, I told you I will judge justly right? And that's what I have drawn from this, you aren't giving this dude a chance and you might lose a good friend if you don't give in and apologize, honestly, and I am staying here in Florida until you guys make up,"
"What? But it's our honeymoon baby, come on, don't do this,"
