Today was the day and I couldn't be happier. I was dressed in my fighting attire which looked good on me. I know they make me look like a warrior but who cares? I stared my great flection in the mirror and was satisfied with my look. This is my opportunity to show my talent. I flexed my invisible muscles, the thought made me laughed.
My dark eyes shine back at me with determination. I'm going to do great, I know that. Whoever I'll be fighting with should better be prepared. This is my turn to shine. I'm making myself and the people around me proud.
I took the sword from my bed and pocket it in its jacket. We won't be using any irons to fight. The fight is mainly with fists. My fist is going to bruise, I'm sure of that.
I took a deep breath before making my way out of the room. Ashley and Lena were already at work. They left so early in other to catch up with the fight. We'll meet at the battleground.

I kept a straight face pretending to be oblivious of how people were looking at me. It irks me to be stared at. Some were giving me the jest look which angers me. They look at me as if I was a loser and I won't come out as the winner. This is why I want to win so I can put them all in shame. I met granny Joanne coming while I was heading out. She smiled at me and I smiled back. She has thus contagious smile which is hard to overlook.

I bowed showing some respect " Hello Granny Joanne"
" Hello, Melissa. How are you doing ?" she asked with the same smile on her face?

" Hope you're ready to win the fight," she asked raising a brow
" More than ready"
" That's the spirit and I pray you to win," she said while I was shocked
She saw my expression so she laughed " Don't be surprise dear"
" Don't you want your pack members to win?" I couldn't help but ask.
She shrugged " The same crew has been winning all this while and I think it's time for another person to win. Those girls are a bunch of snobby kids who knows nothing than to always rub their success on peoples face. They are all exactly like Rosie"
This new info did it for me. Does this mean she also doesn't like Rosie? Wow. I guess luck is on my side then. I'm not the only one that has a dislike for that lady.
" I guess thanks," I said a little uncomfortable.
She laughed and waved it off " you don't need to thank me, I was only stating the fact and I know you know it's true"
I rubbed my neck not knowing what to say " ok"

I realized a breath I didn't know I was holding. No one needs to know about my mate at least not now.
Just when I was about to continue my journey, I was pushed all of a sudden. Thanks to my great stamina, I was able to hold myself from falling.
" Well well well. Look who wants to fight " Rosie together with her minors lined up in front of me.
What have I gotten myself into?

Rosie snort " Let you go where? To the fighting ground ?" her minors laughed hard
They irritate me right now. I wonder why some people have the joy of punishing others. What kind of sick mind do they have?
" Miss Rosie please let me go" I was fuming
" if I don't what will you do you stupid bitch " she said bitterly " I wish you nothing but failure so you better be ready to lose "
I stared at her hard in the eyed " what if I win ?"
She was shocked I asked that question " Trust me you'll never win and I'll make sure of that "
She was already annoying me. My time is being wasted.
I shrugged " Go ahead and do whatever you want to do but know this, I'll win and there will be nothing you'll be able to do. Just sit and watch " I cocked a brow and made my way to the ground leaving her and her minor with mouth wide agape. They were surprised that I talked back at Rosie.
All she knows is to always terrify people with her fake attitude. I'm tired of people like her always doing this just because they have the power to.

The moment I got to the ground, the couch started of by glaring at me and I understand.
"I'm sorry for the lateness" I bowed.
" Where have you been?!" He asked with that same glare.
" I got caught up on the way" I tried explaining.
" Just joining your colleagues already. The fight is about to begin".
I dragged my feet to join the rest who were laughing at my expense. I don't blame them.
" Everyone listen up"
We all turn our attention to the coach
" Right now there are 40 of you all. Which means you'll be divided in two. Everyone will have a partner to fight with. So I'll be listing up your names and the partners you'll be fighting with. Listen attentively"
I took a deep breath as he began to call the names. I just hope my partner will be someone I'll be able to handle. He was done with the male and was about to call the female names.
