" The next on the list is Melissa and Rebecca "
My eyes almost bulged out of their socket. She was one of Rosie's maids and I know this was a setup. How is that even possible. This lady wasn't on the list before so why did and all of a sudden have the interest to join the fight. I need to watch my back. Rosie is in action.
I stared at her and she gave me a sly look. I kept a firm face not trying to show her any hint of fear. I know I can handle this.
..' We can Melissa ' my wolf Lisa said.
A few minutes later the fight started and the guys were called first in the ring. The male fight was hard and rough. It was so intense that I could feel the impact of the punches from the ring.
It ended hours later and we the female werewolves were called in next. The first pair went in and it was good. They did their best and the lady from Moonlight pack won the fight. It was a fair fight.
The next went in until it was finally our turn to fight. I couldn't be more nervous. The crowd yelled as Rebecca and I were called in. It was as if they have waited long for this match between Rebecca and me. We were told to take a position. Rebecca took the left and I the right.
She flexed her muscles making the crowd go wild for her. She was the crowd favorite. I stared at the crowd hoping to see my friend and Wala, there they were waving at me. That put a smile on my face, I still had some supporters even if they weren't much.
I waved back at them.
" The fight starts now, " The referee said as he left the space for us to fight.
I prepared my fist while my eyes were set straight on Rebecca. Rule number one always keep an eye on your enemy. You don't know when they'll attack so be prepared.
Rule number two, keep your fighting posture intact so that you'll know from which direction to punch.
Rule number three, Never show your enemy your fear. Always give them a straight look with zero emotion attached to it.
Rebecca came forward to attack and I was able to dodge it. She kicked and punch, I defended myself well.
She growled out in frustration this was the plan all along, to make the enemy frustrated then I attack.
" ouch" she held on to her nose and I smile slyly. She wasn't expecting the punch.
Rebecca's beast mode go activated and that was how she came hard on me hitting me hard in the face. It hurts like a bitch.
I groaned holding my face while she smile at me " That's what you get for hitting me like that "
" This is just the beginning, we have a long way to go" I smirked
Rule number three, Communicate with them doing this will take their attention.
" Be ready to go down you bitch" she yelled coming hard on me again and I was able to dodge it this time.
I chuckled just to irk her which I successfully did.
" Don't be too confident you stupid maid. I'll make sure I bring you down " She seeth.
" We'll see about that "
A few minutes later we were breathing heavily no one was down yet. We both have bruises on our body and that Rebecca girl is a beast. I have a broken nose but trust me, I also broke her nose too.
She tried getting up but her legs failed her miserably. She had wounds on her face making me happy with my hard work.
I was also breathless waiting for her to get up. I staggered a little but caught myself time. Wouldn't want to fall flat on the floor right. I was weak and my body was beginning to fail me but the fight needs to go on.
Just when I was about to fall, I felt a hard kick in my gut. I groaned out in pain and found myself falling to the ground. It hurts a lot. I was breathing real fast trying to contain the pain.
Rebecca saw that as an opportunity to come at me again. She sat on my stomach and began to throw punches on my face. I couldn't do anything at all. Her sudden strengthed. I was spitting out blood, they tasted like iron in my mouth. I can't believe she wound me like this.
" I'll kill you today" She yelled as she kept throwing the punch.
I was sure I'll be unconscious soon but I won't let that happen. I won't allow her to see me lose easily. I'm a fighter and I need to fight back. Lisa was tried to keep me stable too but it was hard. My whole body was tired and needed some time to rest but I won't allow that if not my weakness can be used against me without even knowing.
Then what Jemima told me on the night before the fight came rushing back to me. She said,
' Don't give up easily. when you feel that your body is failing you, take a deep breath and think of the happy moment in your life, think about the people you're fighting for, people you want to make pro, most of all think about yourself, remember you're always a winner and winning is what you do"
That was it, I felt my energy coming back. It sent tingle all over my body. I pushed hard on Rebecca making her gasped.
When Rebecca saw me getting up she came running at me at the full speed that was when I saw it. The thing that kept her strong all this while.
