My wolf was angry at her calling us a weakling. I tried all my best to get up which I successfully did with all my might I growled out. I glanced at Jemima who stood with a raised brow. She folded her arms happy to have succeeded in achieving her goal.
" I knew you can do it" She smiled widely " That's the spirit I was looking for. The spirit of not giving up"
I rolled my eyes " you are mean"
" But the meanness came in handy right " she wiggled her brow " Make a pose"
I took my stance, my left leg forward and the right backward. I bent down a little with an outstretched hand ready to attack.
My face form into a frown looking at my enemy with hate.
" Good, you're learning " Said Jemima.
I was determined
" Your chest out," she said and I did as I was told " Remember, watch your enemy closely. Don't be carried away by anything, study them, study their eyes. It speaks more than you can imagine. Do I make myself clear?"
" Yes "
" I can't hear you"
" Yes Sir"
" Louder!"
" YES SIR!"
She can be annoying at times. I was still in my pose as she guided me on how to make a kick when the attacker comes at me unexpectedly. That has happened a lot of times making me lose focus on how to defend myself.
" When they come left, you block it with your right hand and when they come right you do the vice versa. " She explained and I nodded. " Stand straight "
" Make your body go with the flow if you don't want a dislocation. Wherever direction your hand moves, make sure your body obeys. Your hand can't go left and you expect your body to follow you if you don't control it."
I listened attentively as she kept on going on and on about how to fight.
" But what if I become entrapped by my attacker how can I defend myself ?"
" Good question, times when you see they have the upper hand and you tried as much as you can to free yourself but you can't, then you wait. Make them feel as if you've given up, it'll be painful but after you see them relaxed a bit then you go for their legs. Pack it with your hands as hard as you can then you turn them upside down. That way, they will be facing the floor and you'll be seated as hard you can on their back. Push harder till you see them shout for mercy"
I nodded " okay"
" Make sure you put your all in the fight. Don't appear too confident if not your opponent will be angrier and don't appear like a weakling. Be yourself and you'll be surprised at your success. Fighting isn't about being too strong or having muscles. A petite person like you can beat down a lion when you have the zeal. This is you and this is what you want, all it takes is belief. When you believe I'm yourself then be ready to conquer it all"
I felt at ease as she advise and I couldn't be luckier to have her as my coach " Thanks a lot Jemima, you always know the right things to say"
" Oh please, I'm just trying and I hope all I've said helps you out because that'll make me happy. Always remember that whatever the outcome is, I'll still be happy at how far you've gone. A lot loses at this junction but you kept pushing and that is the braveness I'm looking for."
I awed " you making me wanna cry, " I said cleaning some fake tears " you're just too much "
She laughed hard " You always know how to crack me up"
" Why won't I? that's because you are my savior and I'd always do what makes you happy."
" Oh please don't try to sweet mouth me. You can do that to my brother but not me " she scoffed and I cracked up.
" What do you mean by your brother? For goodness sake why would I even sweet mouth your brother of all people He is alpha for crying out loud and not just a mere alpha but the King Alpha ."
She made a face " so what? Isn't he a guy and for your information, he also has a heart and can always catch feelings "
" Yes he has a heart and I'm not denying that fact but please he'll never go for someone like me and I already have a mate who is waiting for me at home " I lied and I felt bad for myself for putting it that way.
" But on a serious note Mel, if my brother wasn't a king and you have no mate, will you date my brother ?"
I was shocked by her question " ermm... Why not? I'll date him if he asks me out "

I didn't want to press more on the topic so I decided to change it " So.. you've never mentioned anything about your boyfriend. Who is he? I'm sure you have then lined up "
Jemima made a disgusted face " I don't do boyfriends. The one I even tried out fuck it all for me. They want nothing more than to sleep with me until they find their mate. I don't want someone that only loves me for sex. I want to be loved and feel loved ."
I regret ever asking because her mood changes " sorry for asking "

I stared around the room only to see that we are the only ones left in the gym. They must have been tired of practice I guess.
" I think we did for now. Let's pack up " Jemima said as she also noticed that we were the only ones left.

I bade Jemima goodbye as she made her way to the mansion while I made my way to the Maids lodge. I tried losing the jacket around my waist when I felt bumped into someone. I gasped as the person pushed me backward with all force making me staggered a little. I got angry as I looked up at my target.
