It was my turn for the fight , I made a fighting stance as I stared hard at my opponent. She gave me the same fierce look. Deep down I was scared but was trying hard to stay calm. She was more bulky than I was . I looked petite compared to her but I'm not backing down now . I'm never a loser.
She came darting forward with hatred in her eyes, her wolf wanted my blood so badly. She snarled and I snarled back.
She threw a punch my way and I was lucky to dodge it . I made sure I master her movement to use it to my advantage. It's always good to watch your opponent movement it help you know how to attack them unexpectedly.
The crowed were hailing for her and I knew she got more supporters than me . I didn't let that affect me so I tried to stay focus. She kicked me hard and I groaned trying not to fall down.
The crowd erupted upon seeing her having the upper hand and I was lagging . Her man figure really came in handy for her but we're just starting so I've got enough time to catch up.
I was was breathing hard as she threw blows to my face . The last blow she threw sent me on the floor. My face was bloody. The crowed wailed happily. Some wooed at me , some called me a loser. Then suddenly, I felt a strange strength in me, my body suddenly needed her blood and I was going to get that .
I flew up shocking the crowed and my opponent. She was shock to see me up as she had thought I won't have the strength to get up. I smirk slyly looking murderous. I dart forward and landed a punch to her gut. She groaned out in pain, I threw a kick with made her staggered backward. She was angry to have been beaten by me.
She dash forward but was met with my painful punch.
" Oww"
The crowed were shock at the energy that radiates inside of me. The never saw this coming at all. I smirked happy to give them a show they'll never forget then glanced at my opponent who was still on the floor trying to get up.
I Sprint with every energy in me and knocked her out and the crowed roared. I felt satisfied, cleaning my bloody lips with the back of my hand waiting for the referee to come announce the winner.
The referee came jogging into the cage, he tried to check on my opponent bug she was already unconscious. He stood beside me and held my hand then raised it up.
" THE WINNER!"
The type of happiness I felt in that moment made me realized how much I'm yet to conquer. I'll fight it till the very end . I was so happy to make my pack members proud. Even if we were kidnapped to join Alpha Ronald's pack forcefully, I still consider them my family. One day we'll definitely receive our freedom.
I storm down the stage and went to hug my friends who had a wide smile on their face . Lena picked me up and spine us around making me shout at her to drop me scared before she lands us on the floor.
" I'm so happy right now , gosh" Lena said breathlessly.
Ashely hugged me tight " I'm so so proud of you right now Melissa. You just made us proud"
" Thanks"
" At first I thought your opponent was going to win with how she appears first with the upper hand then like a dream I saw you having the upper hand . Who would have thought that a petite lady like you could knock down a huge lady like her " Lena teased making me laughed.
Some of our packs members came to congratulate me and I couldn't be more happy. They were proud of me . I'm qualified to the final.
We were all engaged in a conversation when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around only to see Jemima with a smile on her face. I pretended to be angry at her since she didn't even come to wish me luck before the fight . She understood my change of mood so she gave me the puppy eye look.
" I'm so sorry Mel. I know I should have see you off before the fight "
I rolled my eyes playfully " All I want is your reason for not being there "
She rubbed her neck slightly " The thing is my brother didn't let me out of the hook. I have so much work that I abandoned so he decided to punish me by staying in doors till the work is done . Infact I just finished few minutes ago and rushed down her only to see you emerge the winner" she explained
I chuckled at the way she put the last sentence " Well, all thanks to my tutor " I bowed and she burst out laughing .
Lena and Ashley disappeared on us. I wonder why they see the need to excuse us whenever Jemima and I are together. I'm definitely going to ask them about it .
" So what's your next move ?" She asked .
I was confused " Next move? I don't understand"
She rolled her eyes at me " I meant your next plan regarding the finals. I heard you people are given two days to prepare and since the qualified candidate are just four and you'll be paired in two. The last two will fight each other and the winner fights Rosie"
I was aware of this too. I need to practice hard if I want to win this fight " When I have you with me everything is possible. You're very familiar with Rosie's moves so you'll help me out here."
She sighed " The thing is , I was told not to coach you during the finals if you win."
I was shocked with tht news " But why?"
" Because they think it's like giving you an expo of how to fight Rosie . I'm very sure she was the one that went to report about me being your coach"
My heart raced " But I really need you Jemima. "
" I know Mel. Don't you worry I'll still help out one way or the other but it might not be the usual ways."
" Whatever way it may be , I'll be glad really"
