I went on my knees base on the alpha's order. I kept a straight face ready for whatever the punishment will be. Ma'am Lydia was beside me and I can feel how happy she was right now.
The alpha was sat on his throne looking thoughtful as always. He got up and motion for the lawmakers to go on with the process. One of them came forward holding a long sheet of paper with something scribbled on it.
" Miss Melissa from the West pack, you have committed a crime under section 201 of the pack law. You dared to lay a hand on your superior Madam Lydia. You are hereby going to be punished accordingly. " He stated.
I closed down my eyes ready to know what my punishment will be.
" So, therefore, you'll be given 100 strokes of cane. In front of the whole pack members and so shall it be" he ended.
My heart breaks not ready for this punishment. I glanced at the Alpha to see his reaction but saw non, he kept a straight face. My wolf whimpered, she wasn't ready for any punishment as our body is still healing from the previous one. This was too much.
" That serves you right " Madam Lydia whispered so that only I can hear her.
I took a deep breath as two guards came to take me away to serve my punishment. I was pushed on a flat surface making me gasped in the process. A rope was tight around my hands and leg facing the ground.
They call the attention of all pack members who then rushed to the scene to watch was was about to happen. I was ashamed to have brought this attention to me. What will people say? Yesterday I was punished and now again I was about to receive another punishment.
When the first stroke hits my back, I hissed loudly. This was more painful than that of Steven. Right now I'd have preferred Steven's beating to this. This hurts more than you can imagine.
My back aches, my wolf was also trying her best to keep us sane. This was beyond us. The lashes kept coming and I couldn't do anything to save myself. I was laying lifeless and dejected. This isn't how I wanted my life to be here.
The painful sensation ran down my spine, paralyzing me. It finally came to an end and I couldn't get up, I was too weak to get up. A few minutes later, I felt two soft hands helping me up and I couldn't be more grateful. I tried opening my weak eyes to see my savior but then, that was when darkness to over me, and I went unconscious.

Third person's POV
The older lady touches her daughter's Soft hands " I know one day you'll save our family. Our success lies with you Mel, you'll be our helper one day. You'll take back what was rightfully ours"
The younger lady was filled with tears at why her mother was saying all this " please mom you are scaring me. I need you to be strong for us" she said to her mother.
The older lady smiled " I'll be strong but you need to be stronger. I know that what the witch said about you will surely come to past in due time "
" All I need from you right now is to get better and nothing more"
" I'll get better my dear " she touched her cheeks " Whatever difficulties you face, always remember that it's preparing you for the worst. Never give up, always have your head up high because you are the chosen one "
Melissa tossed and turned on the bed, she was breathing fast like someone that was having an attack. The bed shook with her every movement. She balled her hand into a fist-fighting whatever was disturbing her
" Melissa.......Melissaa!
She finally opened her eyes only to find six pairs of eyes staring at her. She was confused at first. Melissa let out a soft breath as she realized she just had a dream.
" What happened to me? Why am I here?" Melissa asked in confusion.
"You've forgotten?" Ashley asked as she came beside her.

Melissa's POV
I raked my head to remember then it clicked, I was punished by the king my mate. My mood changes entirely. I stared at my finger not ready to acknowledge the look of pity my friends were giving me right now. I have pity, I hate it with passion. It makes me feel like a loser and I'm never and will never be one.
"I can see you now remember " Lena spoke " What happened to you, Melissa? We know you like this cool, calm, and collected lady. Why is all this happening to you?"
I wish I can explain " I don't know too. I don't know what got over me "
" Did you lay a hand on her?" Ashley asked and I shook my head continuously.
" I did nothing of that "
" Then why were they blaming you?" She asked in wonderment.
I decide to narrate all that happened to them and they all look murderous.
" Mel" I tilt my head so fast that I thought it would break. That name was like a pet name to me. The caller of that name was nonother than the King's sister, Jemima. I wonder why she was here.
She looks confused at first ⁿ" I hope I can call you that?" She asked while I nodded with a small smile.
" sure"
"I know my brother shouldn't have gone ahead with the punishment because you were punished wrongly yesterday. I know he is regretting his actions right now" She said
I would have scoffed right now but because I wasn't ready to insult another Supre
" Yes of course. It's all my name " I said trying to lighten up the atmosphere which worked out because she smiled.
Jemima moved forward to sit on the mattress, she sighed " How are you feeling ?" She asked trying to help me up.
I winced when a migraine hits me.
"Be careful, you are still healing " she said and I nodded.
I'm still surprised to see her here. Did she know me? If not then what is she doing here?
"Don't be surprised, I just felt the need to be here" She said as if sensing my thought.
I didn't say anything instead I allowed her to continue.
" What was done to you was wrong. I know yes there are rules to be followed but madam Lydia instigated the fight and the punishment shouldn't be this hard " she said in anger.
I smiled " I'm happy for the concern. You left me speechless. I never knew there is someone as nice as you are in this pack. "
She sighed " I might not be nice but I don't stand for what's wrong"
" I understand. Ermm, I hope the King won't be mad if he finds out you are here with me. I heard an instruction was given that no single member of the pack should be seen with me "
She waved it off " Who cares about that rules. " She was quiet for a second " There is something about you Mel. I don't know how to put it but you have this command around you."
Lena and Ashley decided to excuse us. I was left alone with Jemima.
" This made me want to know more about you. I don't know you and you also don't know me, I know that's exactly what you have on your mind right now " she said with a smile.
" Well,..." I trailed off
" It's like you have alpha blood in you that made me wonder why you are a slave. You look nothing like a slave "
