The word 'dungeon' send a shiver down my spine. I dread to be in that kind of place ever again. The last time I was locked in the dungeon by alpha Ronald I almost cried myself. Blood was spread on the floor, the d human skeleton and so many things you could think of.

" Yes Ma'am" we chorused.
" Move along now and do the needful"
We all march to the room with our brooms and mops in hand.
I went to my space which was around the end of the room where the golden door was situated. I love my peace and space.
I put myself to work, taking my time to clean around and make it sparkling. I wiped a sweat that was beginning to form. I don't know why I felt so tired quickly but I wasn't giving in. I needed to finish the work on time before the alpha comes in.
I pushed myself but my body failed miserably, my wolf whimpered. She was also in pain so I dropped the broom when it got unbearable for me to continue. I rested my back on the door and slide down to the floor. I was burning up seriously. It was getting unbearable. My body shook, my hand shook. I was covered in sweat. I couldn't take it.
I whimpered so does my wolf whimpered too. I tried getting up, holding the handle of the door then suddenly I found myself opening the door. I stumbled inside and the door made a click sound.
Just like magic, I felt the burning stopped and the sweat dried up immediately. I stood up dusting my body when a scent overtook my nostrils. It was the most perfect smell ever like that of wood with a mixture of chocolate. I love chocolate. My wolf purred too.
I dragged myself deeper into the room. Pictures were used to decorate the wall. A tall picture of a lady was designed on the wall. She was pretty beyond doubt. She looks so innocent that I wonder who she was.
The room was so tidy as if no one steps foot there. I was also scared to even take a step all because of how neat it was. It feels like home. I sighed overdrawn by the wood scent, can't get enough of it. Who stays here? I wonder.
Mate!
My wolf squealed in my head. I freeze, mate? 'Stop the joke Lisa' I scolded.
She slumped her shoulder but kept changing 'Mate.Mate.Mate"
But this isn't possible, how true is that?
Does this mean earlier what happened to me was my heat and luckily for me this room calmed me down? Does this room belong to My mate? Who is he?
I was so deep in my thought that I didn't hear the harsh lady driving us out of the Place, the alpha was here to inspect. The only thing I heard was a click of the door which brought me out of my thought. Right then I knew I was doomed.

The kind Alpha pushed the door in to inspect if someone has been inside. The moment he entered, a sweet strawberry scent filled his nostrils making his wolf purrs, something that had never happened before. Rex his wold purred.
" Someone was here," king Alpha said out of the blue.
Mate!
Rex chanted happily in his head but he turned deaf ears. He was adamant to know who it was, the scent was foreign and something beautiful. I want to meet her, he couldn't help but say to himself.
King Alpha stared around the room to find clues saw non then a blue piece of the dress caught his attention. It was dangling down his locked wardrobe. He moved forward to check it out when his beta mind linked him about someone trespassing. He groaned then made his way to the door. He gave the piece of dangling clothes one last look before sauntering out of the room.

Melissa's Pov
I held my racing heart. This isn't how I planned my day to go. Thank goodness he didn't open the wardrobe if not I'd have been punished.
' Mate won't punish you' said my wolf.
Could this be true? Is the king Alpha my mate? How is that even possible? I can't help the thoughts. They kept taking over me.
I'm going to faint! But first I need to get out of this place. I took my pace and ran out of the room.
I need to hide this to myself Now I know why I've been in heat, my mate has been around all this while but I never got the clue. I have to hide it to myself. First I need to block my scent, I don't need him to find out who it was. I know he felt the pull and won't stop until he finds me. I can't let that happen right now, I have a task to do and a family to save.
I ran to the maid's section, entered my room, and search for the necklace alpha Ronald gave me. It came in handy at least.
I put it on and made a promise to always have it around my neck until I was done working in this pack. I hide it inside my clothes from stray eyes. A lot of people might know what it means since there are witches in every pack so I wouldn't want them to find out I have it around my neck.

We assembled up in the king's courtyard, on our knees. It was reported that something got missing in the Museum room I worked in and all fingers were pointing at me for reasons I don't even know. I didn't steal anything.
The issue now is, the suspects are five with me among them. The King is in his way. My heart beats repeatedly knowing well that I'll be the full suspect since I went MIA during work hours. I'm sure this was the reason why many were pointing at me. I showed no reaction making it even look real. I don't want to beg anymore, I've been doing a lot of begging lately. Enough is enough, whatever wants to happen should happen. I don't care anymore.
I've been punished in so many ways so this won't be the first. But if I scale this, it's still a plus for me.
" Who took the diamond anklet? You better say the truth or you'll be punished " The beta said angrily. The other suspect was shaking on their knees while I was put in place.
He stared at me in surprise " Aren't you scared of what might happen to you?"
I shrugged looking at the beta in his eyes " I don't care anymore. Whatever I say won't grant me my freedom" I wonder where the courage came from.
He looked thoughtful for a second " You did this right? You are the thief" he said accusing.
I stared hard at him " I'm not a thief" my wolf took over. She was damn mad right now.
" You don't have any respect for your leader" He growled out.
I tried controlling my wolf but she overpowered me, she growled back at him. This was wrong " Don't speak to me like that "
