Terry's pov:
We head out of my dad's office and I tell Mark I am going to go up and take a shower and I will meet him down in the kitchen after I am done. With a nod of his head I head upstairs to my bedroom for a much needed shower to wash away my achy muscles from sleeping in the chair at Chrystal's bed side and stress of the morning so far.
I get in my room and head to the bathroom where I turn on the shower to my preference and turn around to the sink to brush my teeth. I get done with my morning ritual and strip my clothes and put them in the hamper to be cleaned later and hop in the shower. I stand there for a while and let the hot water run over my body and ease the tension out of my muscles.
While I am doing this I go back to last night and wonder why I have not dreamt of my dream girl. I have dreamed of her every night for the past year but last night I did not. As I try to conjure her up in my mind all's I get is Chrystal's face again. I must admit she is good on the eyes but I am missing by dream girl. Feeling myself getting frustrated again I decide to clear my mind.
So I go ahead and wash up and then turn the water off and grab a towel to dry off. I dry off and then wrap the towel around my waist and head for my closet to get some cloths out to wear.
It is going to be a pretty warm day today so I grab a pair of khaki shorts and a black t-shirt to wear. Feeling somewhat better after my shower I decide to head down to eat. I open my door and head down stairs to the kitchen. I get to the foot of the stairs and smell the bacon my mom has cooked and my stomach begins to growl. Noticing again I have not eaten since yesterday breakfast time. Boy I hope mom has made extra I am definitely starving now.
I walk in the kitchen and everybody stops to watch me I just go to a bar stool and sit down. My mom turns and sees me and comes to give me a hug and then fixes a plate of food. Oh yea she knew I would be hungry. She made me a plate with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and hash browns. I picked up my fork and started to eat and then she puts another plate in front of me with 4 pancakes stacked up on it. Yeap, I am going to eat all this up.
Mark comes in and sits down beside me and mom puts a plate in front of him. His plate does not have as much on it as mine but he still has quit a bit. Everybody gets done eating before me and Mark and mom has them to head on to school. She waits for everyone to leave before she grabs her a cup of coffee and sits down across from me and Mark.
“Okay spit it out what's going on?” she asks
Me and Mark look at each other with quizzical looks on our faces and then turn to her. “What do you mean what's going on?” I ask her.
"Well how did everything go with Chrystal's granny? I have not had a chance to talk to your dad yet.”
I mean what do you say to this she is going to learn more than me I am sure there are no secrets between mom and dad so why is she acting like she don't know what's going on.
I look at her for a minute and then I just blurt out “Mom do you know this Thor character?”
She starts laughing like dad and John did which makes me and Mark look at each other again. Wondering what's going on I patiently wait for her laughter to calm down and repeated my question in an aggravated tone this time.
“Oh he is scary isn't he?” she says still giggling some.
“Well yes but that does not answer my question mom”
She smiles at me and replies “Thor is a longtime friend of your father's they fought side by side against the rebellion trying to protect the queen and her family”
“How is he so powerful? He seems more powerful than dad.”
“Well back in the day he was powerful, more powerful than your dad at the time. Your dad became alpha after his brother and his family was killed in the war.
Thor was alpha way before him so yes he would seem to have more power than your father. Also Thor lost his whole family during that war so that has made him a very angry alpha”
Okay this might be a better explanation but I still feel I am not getting the whole truth. It's like they are giving me little tid bits here and there. What are they hiding from me?
Starting to feel like I am getting frustrated again I finish my meal and tell my mom I only have one class today if it's okay if I skip the rest of the day after that and get some training done. She says that will be fine and then me and Mark head to my car to go to school.
We get to the car and get in and start driving off before Mark asks me “What class do we have to take? According to my calculations we finished all our classes we don't really have to go back to school if we don't want to. Truth be told I am done with all that school stuff.”
“Yea me also but it was just an excuse to get away from the house. We have a couple of things to take care of one of them is to talk to Chrissy's friends to see why they dislike Chrystal so much and then I want to go to town and replace Chrystal's walk-man. I also believe there is still a bunch of things dad and them are hiding from us and I believe as the soon to be alpha and you beta that we should know.”
I start to head to school to get Chrissy's friends and I cannot stop thinking how I am going to get to see Chrystal again to hand her the new walk-man I intend on buying her plus I plan on taping some of my favorites on a disc for her.
“Are you serious what makes you think she will like your kind of music? I also listened to her tape and it definitely was not your kind of music.” Dakota say's to me while he is laughing
“Like you know her any better than I do or is there something you are not telling me like everyone else around me” I bark at him.
“No but as I said I was listening to her music also and it is nowhere being your type of music so what makes you think she will like yours” he barks back
Feeling myself lose it at him I cut off the link to him. Who is he to say she will not like my taste in music. Sure she seems to like smooth rock and I like a more upbeat type of rock. Not no heavy metal stuff well some of it might be but I also like a little rap. With that thought I have it in my head of what to tape her it will be a little of all my type music. Who's to say she may like it. Besides it was just one tape we listened to who's to say she does not like different types of music like me.
With that thought I return my attention back to the road and head to school where I hope to get some answers to my questions.
