Terry's pov:
I woke up that morning feeling so ecstatic right now. I did not even open my eyes I was still in a haze of my dream and what a dream. No wait it could not have been a dream it was so real I felt her wolf, and we smelled her. I still remember her scent the smell of lavender and my favorite fruit strawberries. Crap why did I have to wake up. Feeling frustrated now I go ahead and get out of bed. I look over to the night stand at the clock and realized I woke up before my alarm went off. Well that's a first; my mom will be impressed with me right now.
With a shake of my head I get up to head to the bathroom to do my morning routine. Yes, I have a slight giddy up in my step just thinking about everything that happened last night. I mean who wouldn't; I got to rub my girl's wolf's fur last night with my hands not less. I got to run with her in the woods and then lay with her underneath the full moon, and we fell asleep rolled around her listening to the water fall and her breathing. What more could a guy ask for in a night. It was perfect to me.
I get done and head out back to my bed room I know my alarm is fixing to go off and I forgot to turn it off. Before I get to the clock it goes off playing the song "It must have been love" and then I hit the floor to my knees grabbing my chest. It hurt so bad "what's going on Dakota why do I feel like my heart is being ripped out of my chest right now"
"It is your mate"
"What do you mean, what the heck is wrong with her?" I demand.
"Not sure yet"
"Well find out if she is hurt. I am going to kill anybody who dared to touch a hair on her head" I scream out.
Mark comes running in my room from hearing me screaming and finds me on my knees on the floor holding my chest. He runs over to me and starts yelling for my mom and dad. But I stop him and motion for him to shut the door, and let him know I am fine and that it is not me in pain per say but my mate and I will explain it all to him when the pain goes away. He nods his head to me but runs in the bathroom and I hear him running the water in the sink. He comes back with a wet rag and wipes my fore head with it. I just nod thank you because it is hard to breathe right now with my chest hurting the way it is.
"Dang it Dakota what is wrong with our mate? She feels like she is in a lot of pain"
He starts laughing in my head which is not what I want to be hearing right now, when something could be wrong with our mate. "Stop your damn laughing and tell me what is wrong with out mate now" I demand.
"Well to put it in simple terms you two are experiencing separation anxiety right now."
"Do what? What the heck is that?"
"Well you two were thinking of each other at the same time and then her alarm went off and it was a sad song and it broke her heart so to speak. Does that make sense to you?"
"Yea our mate has a heart. Just like our mom has."
"Yea which means you need to protect it more than normal girls" Dakota growls at me.
"Hey don't growl at me I have now intentions of hurting our mate. Do you know how much longer this is going to take?"
Dakota goes silent for a while then he comes back and says "it shouldn't take much longer Kia is calming her down now"
"Who is Kia?"
"Oh that's her wolf's name, my mate"
"Cool, now if you will just tell me my mates name and we can both enjoy her"
"Nope" he says popping the "p" "me and Kia agreed last night that it is up to you two to find each other and fall in love. We cannot interfere with you two finding each other"
"What kind of crap is that?"
"All's I know is you need to feel the mate bond yourselves without us interfering. It is supposed to bring you two closer together or something like that"
"I can live with that because I guarantee you I will find her" with that said I felt the pain start to ease up slowly and then it was gone. I took a deep breath in and then exhaled relieved to have the pain gone. I stood up and looked at Mark's worried face and started laughing.
He threw the wash cloth at me and said "not funny man I was freaking out here. What the crap happened just now?"
I sit down on the bed with him and ask him "you know the girl in my dreams?" he nods his head yes. "Well she is my mate and I met her wolf last night."
"How did you do that? You were here all night, right?"
"Yes, but somehow I ended up body and soul with her." I proceeded to tell him everything that happened last night. The only thing I left out was her being a pure white wolf. That is mine and her secret until she is ready to reveal it. Everybody knows I have an ancient wolf which could be obvious being I am born of pure blood. But nobody knows about the pure white wolf. I feel so blessed that the moon goddess gave her to us.
"Man you need to take me with you next time you dream. I may find my mate also." he says shaking his head and laughing and then saying "only you" and gets up and says "get dressed and let's get something to eat I am hungry"
"You are always hungry" I say while laughing and pushing him out of my room.
I close my door when I finally get him out of my room and with a smile on my face because my mate is safe and well now. I said I wanted a relationship like my parents and it looks like I am going to get one. My mate has a heart of gold easy to break which means I will cherish her till the day we die. I will show her all the love I have been holding on to this past year. Oh how I want to hold her in my arms right now and sway with her to some of that music she listens to. She is so graceful; I can just feel her in my arms right now moving her around the floor.
With that thought now in my head I head to my closet and get my clothes out for the day. I put on my ripped jeans and a black t-shirt and a pair of tennis shoes. Satisfied with the way I look I head down to the kitchen for breakfast.
