Excitement and longing courses through my entire body. Which has lead me to be even more spontaneous that I have ever been.
According to Samantha my haul will not be over until tomorrow night which would be Saturday before we would see each other. Instead, my haul is officially over and I have parked my truck in the back of this car rental place. It now will sit back here until I come and get it tomorrow or Sunday.
Tanker and I walk out to the rental car and start it up. I get on the road and stop by the flower shop. I get the largest variety bundle of flowers. Making sure it is the one with just about every flower color there could possibly be.
I may be bad but I did call the clinic with it being after hours and know that Lola is the one staying tonight. Samantha has been tired from so little sleep. She has called me and I helped to talk to her over the phone to try and calm her. It hurts me deeply to know that she is having flashbacks.
We pull into her driveway and I see her babies in the fence area. I get out of the car and Tanker follows me over to the gate where I let him in with them while they are outside.
With Tanker in the gate with Oreo and Fluffier, I walk back up to the front door with the flowers in my hand. I press the doorbell and trot to step behind the large column that is out here to where she cannot see me.
The front door opens and I hold my breath. "That is weird." I hear her mutter.
Just as I hear the front door about to close by the small squeak it does, I step back out to face her.
"Hi little paws." I smile wide at her shocked face.
Samantha runs the few steps to where I am and she jumps up to cling to me. Her legs goes around my waist as my arms wrap around her to help hold her up.
"I didn't think you would be here until tomorrow." She whispers.
"Surprise." I chuckle as she pulls her head back to look at me.
My lips find hers and she responds to my kiss.
I walk her into the house and use my foot to close the door. She lets me go with her legs, but keeps her arms around my neck.
"These are for you." I try to move the flowers to where she can see them.
"They are beautiful." She smiles and smells the flowers, letting go of my neck to take them.
"Where is Tanker and your truck? I seen the small car parked by mine on the other side when I jumped in your arms." She asks, walking to the kitchen.
I can't help but take a good look at her butt when she bends down only to stand up with a large vase.
"Tanker is in the fence area with Oreo and Fluffier. It still is weird how your cat goes outside so freely. As for the truck, it is at the rental place in the back and I will get it when I take the car back." I shrug.
"There is somethings I would love to do with you and can't drive you around in the truck all the time." I laugh.
Samantha nods and puts the flowers on the counter.
"We could have taken my car. I would have let you drive it. Fluffier follows Oreo just about everywhere and seems to feel safe when with him, so I have never questioned it." She smiles, as she steps back up to me.
I pull her back in my arms. "Now how would that look on me to drive my girlfriends car everywhere or to do what I plan with her?"
Samantha laughs and hugs me tight. "To me it wouldn't have mattered if you had."
"I know that you haven't slept well so it is up to you completely if you're up for our date or we can stay here tonight and rest." I look at her.
I can tell she has on some makeup, as if to hide just how tired she may be.
"I don't want to put our date off." Samantha gets a sad look on her face.
"Little paws, I can take you out tomorrow if it means you will get the sleep you need. I want you to be able to get the rest you need." I gently reply and rub her cheek with my thumb.
"You are like a cure for me on that. That is how I see it now and will truly believe it if I sleep peacefully in your arms tonight."
"I feel the same about you. I love you so much and am so worried about you." I kiss her lips.
"Can we stay home then and just order some take out? Is that still okay to where we do our date tomorrow? Oh, and look at that house too at some point." Samantha seems hesitant to ask.
"That is perfectly fine with me. Like I said I am worried about you not getting sleep. I promise we will have our date tomorrow and see the house." I smile and walk her to the couch.
I take the blanket off the back and wrap her in it. The house is a little cold and she is in booty shorts with a tank top. After she is bundled up, I walk over and let all three babies inside. They all run for the large bed and it makes Samantha and I both laugh.
"What would you like to order for food?" I sit next to her on the couch, where she moves and curls into my side.
"Every place that delivers here is in that drawer right there. You can pick what sounds best, I am not picky at all." Samantha sits up and grabs the remote.
I get the papers. "What about this place?" I show her the paper.
"Oh some nachos sound great. They have the best steak and chicken nachos with peppers, onions, tomatos with cheese. There is so much meat that is makes a meal for itself." She smiles.
I put the call in and Samantha gets up before returning with cash and laying in on the table. "Just for when it gets here." She smiles.
Before I can say something, she lays out next to me partially. Most of her body is on me and I wrap the blanket around her again with the small goosebumps forming over her.
"You can pick a movie to watch, I have every account I have set up on the tv." She hands me the remote.
"I don't plan to use that money." I finally speak up since she is comfortable and so am I with her on me.
"Just use it Shane it is my treat since I have ruined our date." She yawns and seems to melt into me even more.
"You haven't ruined anything, little paws." I kiss her head.
I turn a movie on that was in her list just for back ground noise. Because I am not watching it but I am watching her instead. The peaceful looks that passes over her face as sleep surrounds her is everything to me in this moment.
