The alarm goes off and I hit the snooze. I slide my arm out from around Samantha and sit on the edge of the bed.
I put my elbows on my thighs and my hands hold my head. This seems so much harder this time and I think it will only get harder every single time. Here it is the second time I have to leave Samantha after getting a few more days with her.
Yesterday was very interesting, but I enjoyed it. Samantha and I went over to her Gram's to get the fur babies. Everyone showed up and we all had lunch together. Then spent time with everyone until dinner when Samantha said she wanted us to head out so she could spend time with me before this morning.
I will say Jovi is a great guy, can crack a joke on anything from the time we all talked yesterday. Gram even threatened him with the newspaper which got us all laughing but it felt what a family is. Something that did make me miss how my family used to be before everything happened. Her family though seems to have taken me in.
To see Samantha with Lola and Jovi, that is something I will cherish because you can tell they grew up together.
Now, our date finished out amazing Saturday night. Together we ate our food and then laid and looked at the stars. Not that it was planned by no means but we shared some of the sweetest love between us out in the woods.
I sure hope her birth control is working. Those things are supposed to be right at a hundred percent effective, so I am hopefully for now.
Yes, we have spoke about kids but we both would like to wait just a little bit. For one, I want to be able to be working to where I am home and not over the road for days at a time.
Once more the alarm goes off and I am quick to turn it off this time. Tanker and Oreo both pop their heads up and look at me. While Fluffier jumps up on the bed and rubs on my arm, with purrs slipping from his throat. It tickles in a way with how it sounds and vibrates on my arm, but his fur is so soft.
I pet on Fluffier for a few seconds, before I stand from the bed. "Come on boys. I will get you guys some breakfast." I whisper to them.
All three scramble for the kitchen and I hold back my chuckle at their eagerness. I work on getting their food open and placed in the bowls, they have so patiently waited beside. I wash my hands and walk back to the bedroom.
I take a quick shower and put on my boxers. Last night, I did get my laundry done up in between Samantha and I having time together. Something I had asked if she was okay with me doing and I got the total sass work there. She literally stood by my bag and demanded the clothes that needed to be washed.
I walk to the bedroom and worry passes through me as I watch Samantha sleep. She hasn't had anymore flashbacks since the first night I was here. This haul will have me away for four night total and that is with a smooth run. The last thing I want is for anything to start up again while I am gone.
Sitting on the bed, I kiss her head and rub her back. "Good morning, little paws. It's time for me to go." I whisper.
She rolls onto her back and smiles up at me. "Good morning."
I kiss her lips, for her to pull me back to lay on the bed.
"What's wrong?" I rub her arm.
"Do you think if we stay in bed and act like it is not Monday things would work for us that way?"
I sigh and kiss her again. "I wish it did, sweet girl but it doesn't."
"I noticed the first time you left and now it is even more."
"What is that?" I ask her.
"That you are taking my heart with you each time you leave." She gives me a sad smile.
I kiss her again. "And I leave my heart here with you." I touch the locket I gave her.
She gets out of bed and I finish getting dressed. Samantha throws on some clean pajamas and then walks from the room. I start to pack up the clothes I need for this haul while leaving more here in the closet to where my truck is not as full.
When Samantha walks in, she folds up some of the clothes that we left in the dryer last night. "Do you need any of these?"
I look over and grab several of the boxers and socks. "Thanks." I smile.
"I will put these over here this is an empty dresser." She laughs.
"Would explain why we didn't have to look for any of the dressers or other furniture pieces outside of the kitchen and living room things. Oh, there is a huge mirror you may enjoy for our bedroom in the storage." I smirk.
"Oh that sounds like fun." Samantha smirks.
"Is there a side of you I have yet to see?" I laugh.
She shrugs. "I never thought about it before now but with you I could get kinky."
I pull her in my arms and kiss her.
When we pull back, I look at the clock. "It's time for me to head out."
She nods and slips on her slippers, walking outside with Tanker and I. I throw my duffel up in the truck and she is petting on Tanker. Climbing up, I start up the rig before doing my checks around the truck.
"Everything good?" She steps up once Tanker jumps up in the truck.
"Yeah, I do have to get some tires soon. So on my way back I may stop and get those put on to where I don't risk blowing a tire soon." I sigh.
"All things that are needed." She smiles and I love how she gets it.
I kiss her again and climb up in the truck. Watching as she walks back inside and stands by the front window, my lights are on so I can see her wave and I do the same when though she is not able to see me due to being before dawn.
Once I am backed out, I start for the interstate to go for pick up.
There is one thing in my mind and on my heart this morning. I do want to find a way to buy a ring for my woman. It is something I would like to do before we move into our new house together. Best way is to make it feel like home even more. I know just how I want to do it, but I will need Lola and Jovi's help.
