Chapter 78
Mara immediately appeared next to Psyche so my eyes widened. How can lady Mara teleport? I was even more nervous for no apparent reason.
“You didn’t know who Mara is do you?” smiling Psyche asked before approaching lady mara and holding her shoulder. I noticed that lady mara stiffened in her place but she didn't remove Psyche's hand.
We didn’t answer Psyche’s question but she just kept talking. "Go and serve your purpose, Mara"
Mara nodded quietly before turning her attention to us. No, he turned his attention to Trevas before stretching out his hand in his direction.
I thought at first that he would attack Lady Mara with whatever power he had but I was shocked when Trevas suddenly knelt on the floor even though no power was coming out of Lady Mara's outstretched hands.
I frowned because of that but I immediately approached Trevas and held him on the shoulder.
His face was pale and he was biting his lower lip hard. It was obvious on his face that he was feeling severe pain.
“What did you do ?!” bewildered I shout in their direction Psyche. Lina suddenly entered my memory and I suddenly felt a mixture of fear and intense nervousness.
"Please… are you too?" my lips and whole body trembled. I’ve already lost too many people… I don’t know what I will do if someone else dies because of this battle.
"Kill him already Mara, what are you waiting for?" Psyche asked Lady Mara angrily so I looked in their direction.
"I'm just curious… why does his highness Trevas have my Markings?" Mara asked so my eyes widened.
Markings?
I turned my gaze back to Trevas before I removed the white cloth tied around his neck that covered the markings of windem on his neck and I stopped in my seat when I saw that his markings were shining.
The markings of windem on Trevas' neck he got because of his connection with his mother Freya and only Freya could control it then. But how does Lady Mara control her markings?
Then it hit me…

"Freya?" I asked weakly and I wasn't sure if she could hear me but when I said that name, lady mara's attention immediately focused on me as if she was very familiar with that name.
That’s where I’m sure. I don't know why and how but I'm sure lady mara and freya are one.
"You're quite smart" commented Psyche so I'm even more confident as far as I can tell. “But there's nothing that can be done… he doesn't remember anything about who he is. I’ve manipulated her memory and transformed her into the long lost daughter of the Laxxon family, lady Mara Laxxon ”
“You what?” Lady Mara asked in shock or should I call her, Freya.
“No more talking Mara, kill that man or I will kill you both. choose ”Psyche threatened.
Lady Mara could not speak immediately and shifted her gaze from Psyche and in our direction but eventually, she lowered her outstretched hands and at the same time Trevas gradually calmed down. "No."
Psyche slowly smiled because of Lady Mara's emphatic answer before speaking: "So you have chosen death" at the same time she slapped Freya hard so she fell to the floor.
"You should be glad that I let you live until now" Psyche continued before releasing a sharp black magic that he twisted around his right hand before he pointed it in Freya's direction but before he could leave it I preceded that he and hard punched himmy right hand wrapped in overflowing magic.
"Fuck!" he was cheap and before he could speak again I followed my attack with another blow so he fell to the floor and had difficulty standing.
"Too many were killed… I won't let that add to it" I solemnly told him and at the same time I felt the strange sensation in my body again as if someone wanted to escape from the innermost recesses of my being.
‘Let go’ I heard mama’s voice say.
‘Let go?’

‘Wouldn’t I lose myself if I let my power go?’ I asked because that’s how I felt before. It was as if someone wanted to get out of me to control my actions.
‘It depends. The ultimate skill of ice, darkness, and light users to be able to transform is related to the emotion that its user feels so if you are like Psyche whose personality is full of negative emotions, your power can control you ’
‘So basically, the power of rare element users can be a curse or a blessing depending on the person using it?’
‘You could say that’
I nodded before turning my attention back to Psyche who was slowly getting up from the floor. He smiled softly as he ironed his clothes before looking up at me and saying seriously "Now… that made me angry"
There were no more smiles on her lips and she looked at me sharply and that's when I realized that now Psyche is serious about fighting.
