Chapter 87
A week has passed since the fight ended and we have defeated Psyche. Sergeant Min had just returned from the mountain of Jeufeng which was the scene of everyone along with thousands of men led by Trevas and captain Jared.
I was no longer surprised when I heard that Captain Jared had not come back. No one knows where he went and if he will return as long as I know that he buried Lina in a part of the Jeufeng mountain that is overgrown with hundreds of cherry blossom trees.
We haven't seen Captain Jared again since. And even when we visited the place where Lina was buried, we only found flowers left by Captain Jared.
On the other hand, there will be a celebration at the palace for our victory against Psyche. People don't know who we are up against and what kind of danger the world faces in case we lose but Trevas and I decided to just keep everything we know a secret and enjoy the peace we have.
"The thickness of your face you came back here after you left without saying goodbye" said King Henrick when he met Alastor who was with Lieutenant Min on his return here to Beifang.
We are here today in the palace hall to hopefully receive Lieutenant Min's report on what happened after the war.
Alastor did not answer what the king said and just stared secretly which made me laugh.
"Your majesty, we are with prince Alastor of Firlame and his other men in the fight and they are here now to join the celebration for the victory" replied Lieutenant Min who was standing next to Alastor.
"Prince Alastor of Firlame?"
"That's right old man, I live in Firlame and I'm giving up being Beifang so don't worry because we've only been here for a while-"
“That’s bullshit. Do you think you can just give up being my child? ”
“Isn’t that what you wanted? Didn’t it ever seem like my mom and I were going to disappear? ”
"I only want to lose your mother- ouch!" king henrick's words were interrupted when Freya, who had been standing next to him, suddenly struck him.
I wasn't surprised when I saw that but because I've seen them like this a few times in recent days but the case is different for Lieutenant Min and Alastor who don't know anything about Freya yet.
Their eyes widened because Freya just hit the king but king henrick ignored them and just continued arguing with Freya.
"That's not the thing you're supposed to say to your son" Freya whispered annoyed however, we heard all of you.
"But that's the truth"
"Even though, your son will just come back and then that's what you'll say right away?"
“Then what-”
"Who is she?" alastor asked that's why the argument between king henrick and Freya ended.
The whole room was silent as if no one had any intention of answering Alastor's ‘awkward’ question. In the end, the king did nothing but explain everything to Alastor but not as we expected, Alastor easily accepted everything and just remained calm until the king explained everything about Freya to him.

A few more days passed and finally the day of celebration arrived. At the same time, we finished building the ‘Wall of remembrance’ that we built in front of the palace.
On this ‘wall of remembrance’ are written the names of hundreds of those who died in the fight to defeat Psyche but the names of Lina and Luke are at the top. We also thought of including the name of king hermes who also died at the hands of Psyche but king henrick objected to that because there were many who would question the matter.
It’s a big deal that we put Luke’s name on the ‘wall of remembrance’ who is the prince of another kingdom and we’re sure many will wonder why he was among those killed in the battle between Beifang and the unknown opponents. However, we continued the construction then and just finished it today.
The celebration will be held at the palace and everyone who wants to go can attend so many people pass by the ‘wall of remembrance’ and leave flowers in front of it in respect of those who gave their lives for the salvation of the whole kingdom.
"Alissa, aren't you coming in yet?" my atneyon was snatched from the ‘wall of remembrance’ which is now surrounded by people when I heard mama calling me.
I turned to her and couldn't help but smile when I saw her wearing an expensive dress that suited her.
The evening dress she was wearing was blue and her long sleeves wrapped her whole arm and hands. I've been seeing mama a lot lately because she's the one who volunteered to watch over Psyche and make sure nothing happens to the magical ice she's locked up.
"Will it start now?" I asked as I walked closer to him.
I slightly lifted my violet mermaid dress which hugged the shape of my body as I walked. Delicious and precious stones covered the clothes I was wearing but I didn't want to know how much they were all. Trevas himself chose what I would wear and since he only showed me this dress yesterday, I had no choice but to wear it today.
"It won't start yet but Trevas is looking for you" said mama before holding my arm and taking me back to the palace garden where the celebration was taking place.
Fairy lights envelop the trees around us which are the only ones giving light apart from the bright moon in the sky. The surroundings were full of noise and laughter and obviously everyone was enjoying especially Trevas ’staff whose voice was dominant while chatting.
“Where is he?” I asked mama when I couldn't see where Trevas was.
"Yun oh" laughing mama whispered to me with a snout in one direction. I looked at what he was pointing at and there I saw Trevas walking towards us. He was wearing a tuxedo that was the same shade as the one I was wearing and I couldn’t help but grin because of that.
"I'll leave you two alone" Mama whispered to me, obviously fascinated by Trevas and me before walking to where the king and Freya were.
